Hi Sir, Is there is any age limit for ifs.. Say for example for obc category is upsc age relaxation is 3 years.maximum age limit is 35 years. Same rule applies for ifs also or it will varry. Kindly suggest me. Regards N Mani
Good Afternoon sir. I have a question to ask. I am 24 (SC) & in final year of B.Pharm from Mumbai University. I have 3 drops in my course & is genuinely interested in becoming an IFS Officer. SO my question is :- WILL MY 3 YEAR DROPS AFFECT ME IF I DECIDE TO GIVE UPSC EXAM & AM I ELIGIBLE FOR THE EXAM ??
To give an honest answer. Technically there is nothing barring you from writing the exam. But you need to decide whether you can dedicate yourself enough to clear the exam. If you couldn't complete a bachelor's degree course in one attempt, that raises the question what has changed since then that you will be able to suddenly clear the most competitive exam in the country. Unless ofcourse there were other circumstances that affected you , then you yourself need to decide. Not trying to discourage you. 👍
Sir pls clarify the following doubts: 1. Are there any mandatory career courses that an IFS Officer has to undergo through his service (apart from CFL) after completing training. 2. And are there any such mandatory career courses that an IAS officer has to undergo through his service after completing training. Pls elucidate the aforementioned points. Regards
The salary is the same. The foreign allowance is additional based on the country, so even if at worst they didn't even get an allowance in Bhutan, how can the total salary be less than India. Even that case is impossible as there will always be some foreign allowance.

@@stutysuman8188 Apart from the "no objection" letter, If it's a country where Indians need a visa, then you'll have to get one (although it isn't difficult to get a visa with a diplomatic passport as it shows that you are a first-class citizen of your country) Also, the government won't bear your travel and staying cost.

Yes, but they have other perks and special foreign allowance that makes up for it.
