Stumbled onto this channel when I looked for Coast Contra reactions, noticed the channel name which intrigued me, looked through your uploads and loved what I saw. Contra, Marlon, Aesop, King Los, Sa-Roc, Akala, Russ, etc. That told me everything I need to know, you got taste. I hoped you'd be the type to actually catch and dissect the bars the way I wish more people would, 10 minutes into this video and I can say my prayers have been answered. You deserve way more attention, I wish more people would pay attention to conscious/lyrical rap the way you do, you do it justice. Dobrodošli!! Hopefully, I'm using that correctly! I almost gave up on hip hop a few years ago, and I started to get more into blues and some jazz. I started the channel, requests came in, and I realized it,wasn't hip hop I didn't like anymore...it was garbage, trash, commercialized, mainstream rap. I love trivia, word games, memory games and music....and the channel was developed. We hit 1,000 subscribers rather quickly but I had to take nearly a year off and just came back a few weeks ago. Seriously, Dobrodošli!! I hope you enjoy the breakdowns, let me know if you have recommendations as to what we should get into next!
@@BlackishUniversity Hvala! Yep, used it perfectly. I grew up on old school hip hop, even though English is my second language. But I stayed exploring new artists and what I tell people is, there's still plenty talent and amazing rap out there, it's just buried under a pile of shit for the most part. Been a hardcore fan basically my whole life, so once I go through your uploads and check out what you already listen to, I bet I'll have a few suggestions for you. Love jazz, blues, soul, myself. Well, basically any genre, I'm a music fiend. Spotify stats last year told me I listened to 1660 different artists in that year 😅
Maybe I should add some gimmicks like lighting bolts for every homophone, jump scare for every metaphor... lol. I've been enjoying these breakdowns myself and learning so much about Aesop and his music.... I'm glad we have a community of people to bounce ideas off and openly discuss .... I much rather have that then pay for likes and subscribers that don't interact. I also thought I would create the content and eventually get around to being more active on social media or Reddit... but at the very least we will always have a library of cool music to return to and a cool community with similar taste in music. I appreciate you supporting the channel!
