Growing up in Mandeville, when momma milk the coconut we use to mix the trash with sugar and eat it, we were never hungry.
Fe real fe real vinette we used to do it too this children now not living no life my dear
Am still doing it to this day
And I get butt whip 🤪 for using all the sugar lol
It was a delight watching this ital programme. Its such a shame that many Jamaican have not grasp the richness they have in their natural environment. Too many are seduced by the American/Jamaican dollar. Its good to have progress but not one that takes us away feom the richness of what we already have and send us on an endless road of destruction. It seems the more we progress the American way is the more we fight and devour one another. This is a great shame. Jamaica is an incredibly blessed country but as I already stated, many do not realise this. Many believe instead they are forsaken or begotten by God because they were not born with a bag of American dollar at their feet. You can never purchase with money the life that this brother lives on a daily basis. The big house, fast car, plaza TV, etc can never replace this lifestyle. I love the idea of dumpling made with coconut trash. Organic gluton free lifestyle. Nothing wasted and taste to die for. No bad belly. A most profitable lifestyle. I love it. A final point it is clear that Jamaicans live in the timeless realm so there is no rush; no pressure.Jamaica no problem!

I’m originally from Jamaica by way of Canada then USA currently in a remote village West Africa, Senegal. Ivan hear the sea & there is a Pink la
There’s also a Pink Lake. Fresh fish, meat & vegetables. I have unreliable electricity but also solar. All types of domestic animals& lots of birds. Some people use wood fired and outdoor kitchen etc. I just added a room with zinc roof the sound of the rain is incredible. There are also 2 islands where slaves were exported from. Come visits you may want to stay. Nyam is the word for eating in 1 of the native language Wolof so I’m Bach to the ROOTS.

Yes roast pumpkin taste very good I do in in the oven ... ... cut it in cubes add olive oil, garlic, rosemary.. u can eat it as is or purée and make into soup....
