works like a charm! they should just have an option to still keep 120hz and have power save on tho.
Sadly its didn't work anymore on one ui 4.0 😭
This is my new favorite channel since getting my S21 (first Samsung phone) Lot's of great tips, thanks Jimmy!
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a method to get back into an instagram account??
I somehow lost the password. I appreciate any help you can offer me!
Doesn't seem to work with the newest One UI 4 beta? The option automatically forces it to go to standard no matter what. Was hoping to try this out.
Facing same problem
Same here
Hi All, I used to use power saving +120 hz in one ui 3 but I guess with Android 12 one ui 4 Samsung patched it up. Its not working anymore. Any workaround to this ? I am using s20 plus exynos.
This is a great tip but it give GPS problems (because of the power saving mode). While running or biking GPS is loosing connection and sport tracking apps stops tracking. I am trying to find a solution cause I like this tip.
I recently updated my s20 fe 5g to android 12 and it seems like they patched this thing.
Not working for me in 2022,by any chance you have an updated version of this trick?
This worked on my s20 as well, great tip👍
No longer works on Samsung S20+ after Anroid 12 update
How did i activate adaptive screen refresh rate high 120hz..?
I have option in samsung a71 but didnt apply...
Please answer...
This no longer works on the new update can you fix it. Please
Bro i have try this but this is not working on One UI 4.0 pls make a video on this
Unfortunately, this doesn't work anymore with one UI 4.0 :/ such a shame.. I really don't understand, why we are so limited by those saving mode settings.. Why the hell do I need to run my CPU at its maximum, but I am not able to enjoy 120 Hz with limited CPU speed... That's bullsh*t..
I also facing same problem like you
It's supposed to change from as low as 10 frames to 120 but I think the only inputs for display refresh rate in developer menu is 60 and 120.
Not working for me. Once i hit the power saving. It automatically goes to standard
After oneui 4.0, It's not working now
It was working until I got android 12 on my S20FE. Now they've "fixed" it. It is great when they haven't fixed the fever my phone gets with power saving turned off. Jeez samsung.
Nice. Can you do a video on what you have turned on/off in developer mode settings?
So the most recent software update stops this small hack.. any1 put there gotta new hack?? Lol
Wow it's really work!! Thankssss😍
Well how's the battery life in adaptive refresh rate ?
Yes! The KEY is if Battery Savings are still realized with this Hack, or is it just an Interface Bug that allows a mark to remain in the grayed-out Adaptive button? 🤔
This change allows some saving, although what this fool (promo) isn't telling you is that it will still drain battery due to the high refresh rate. It's like turning on a medium power saving mode that half saves your battery
@@kevtechs - I haven’t seen ANYONE document ANY Battery Savings with the Hack discussed in this video. I’m suggested the Adaptive button remains Checked, but the Power Savings SETTING is NOT active. In other words, it’s an Interface Bug and not a Feature.
@@kevtechs try being respectful, you don't have the right to say the word "fool" to anyone, if u got info and want to help, then just share it in comments like it's usually done
@@andrewstrakele6815 True! It seems to be a bug and not a feature, although it's just limited cpu speed and lowering brightness by a margin. Not that big a savings when ram is being used up more often by other apps
This video has helped me so much! Thank you for all the info
Jimmy, check and see if this still works
Definitely worked great before the last software update. It now no longer works this way unfortunately.
works on s20 fe! thank u so much
Do not update ui 4 it will ruin lifehack🥲
@@lmly6567 NOO IT RUINED IT
You have such great tutorials. Thank you!
For one ui 4 plz🙏🙏🙏
Was ok on Android 11 with UI 3. It doesn't work anymore on Android 12/UI 4.
Is there any new method?
Nice info as always for the Samsung Galaxy user's.👍
Have you noticed that the frame rate is now locked at 120 as opposed to adaptive? Mine appears to be locked at 120 all the time while using this workaround, even when the screen is still for a prolonged period of time.
Thanks
Won't this break the phone or may it have any side effects in the system both hardware and software?
That's what I'm thinking
Not sure why there's so much hate going on here. I don't have the note 20u but use an s20+. The trick for enabling 120hz power saving mode definitely works and isn't a software glitch. How am I so sure? Well if I type in anything in Samsung Notes it doesn't sync even with autosync turned on rather an error message keeps popping up. Which means background data is indeed being restricted q
Soooo good , Jimmy !! Excellent tip 🙏
How to do this now with latest UI?
Nice video man you do good Job
Wow great video Jimmy. Stay safe brother 🙏.
Didn't work for me. The motion smoothness automatically went down to standard
same here
You should open the power saving mode as an application first (device care app) and then go to display .. it will not work if you tap power saving mode from the quick panel.
It wasn't working for me because I was taping power saving from the quick panel.
If It did not work still, first turn off power saving mode, switch to 60hz, then back to adaptive then follow the same steps.
Thanks for the awesome tip!
Is this different from the previous video of the 120hz on with power saving?
Hi Jimmy! Do you think you can express to everyone how great the new 2021 update has been for the (2018) Galaxy Watch? My watch's battery bas extended from almost 3 days to over 5 days!
I'm trying to us this but the apply button is not lit up and I can't press it. My power saving mode is off but I noticed when I'm trying to set this up. The refresh rate switches be from 60 to 120. But when they power saving mode is off. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks! Also works on the S20 FE Exynos (August 2021 software update).
Thank you for this tip!!
Tried to do this on my zFlip3 and looks like they fixed it. Such a shame.
Why it isn't reducing the frame rate to 10Hz as the display is LTPO and switch between 10Hz to 120Hz?
Was wondering the same
Do you have some new tips that works on One UI 4?
If my phone loses battery will I have to redo this?
do u have a way of editting the apps in maximum power saving so u can change all of them?
Cool tip but I do wish there was a setting to force it on 120Hz all the time. It seems like on certain web pages so so that it's still very jagged and not as smooth as the 90Hz on my Pixel 4 XL. That phone is smooth all the time which I like. I noticed it being jagged when going deep within the ESPN app which I think it's more of the app issue and not the phone.
How's the battery 🔋 on that phone with steady 120hz
Thank you sooooo much your explanation helped me so much. You deserve Like and Subscribe.
it worked 👍
I can't have two Setting windows open at the same time. S21 Ultra. How do you do this?
thank you bro it works, I'm from Indonesia 👍👍
Bŕooo im my phone there isn't any option like motion smoothness... what can i do to have it??
Does the screen resolution have to stay at 1080P 120fps with the power saving mode on? It would be awesome to have it at 1440P 120 Fps with power saving mode on
Doesn't that defeat the purpose of power saving mode? Seems to me like this would cause more harm than anything.
Why "harm"?
Any clue if there's a method for doing this on S22 Ultra?
Thanks Jimmy. It works! But i just wonder even I use 60hz with saving mode off (sane setting as my Note 10+), my S21ultra still drains battery faster than my Note 10+.
Oh finally. I stopped using the power saving mode just because I want that smooth scrolling experience. Now it's solved. Thanks. Btw that asymmetrical case just bothers me. JS.
not working for my a53, it automatically goes back to standard when i turn it on.
How come my s20 plus can't change to 60hz when enable this ... keep show 120hz
Does this work on the new update? One ui4
Any chance you have updated version of this hack,T-Mobile won't allow it anymore😡
Wow! Thanks!
Great lifehack!
Thanksfully on my Xiomi phone I can switch my refresh arte back and forth without any problems :D
QUESTION: After anywhere from a few hours to a few days, my pull down shade animation starts to get choppy. Over time it gets worse and worse then eventually the phone crashes and reboots. Anyone else experience this? Ideas on a fix?
Good morning my brother, . I have a question. Please, I have the S20plus device. Five days ago, I got the security patch for February, but it did have the update 3.1 one ui. Can i get it this month or will I wait until the security patch of March is released. April pache, knowing that my friend here in Algeria got the 3.1 update and with the same version 8 ... 128 Exynnos
You realize he doesn't work for the Samsung software department, right?
Can find motion smoothness configuration on my a70 with latest one ui 3.1.
So this doesn't work for the s21 does it I've tried so many times
Hi man do you have any trick like this for OneUI 4.0??? They patched it unfortunately
Can you do it with note 20 ultra?
@Doug Sawyer they do I own one
My S20+ OneUI 31 does not have adaptive on the motion smoothness panel. I have High and Standard.
you can still lock it at 120 with power saving mode. Like the whole point of the video says.
Jimmy I want your wallpaper plz tell me from where download this wallpaper?
Would this work on the s22 ultra?
It doesnt woejs on my z fold 3. Is it because the new android 12 ?
tried on my Canadian version of Fold 2... does not work
Would it work on 4.0 UI? Thank you
it works!!!!! thanks mate 🙌🙌🙌🙌😎😎😎😎😉😉😉😉😉👏👏👏👏👏👏
How do you get those recent apps style?
Hey Jimmy, I cant find a way to get it to work on S21 FE, Can you please help
Dang, surprisingly early rn
Does this work with the S22 ultra?
Is there any way to get this to work latest updates
Does it work on one ui 4?
The option to show refresh rate is not available in my A20 with one UI 2.0. Can you tell from what versions of one Ui is the option to show refresh rate is available.👍🙏❤️
google how to open developer options. Yes your phone, like every android phone, has this feature.
@@ocristianoronaldo8294 the developer menu which is what I'm talking about, is available on your phone...
I have s20 ultra, it didn't work... it doesn't show adaptive but shows high and standard
They disabled it in One Ui4
May i ask what phone u using now?
It's s21 ultra
This does not work on my S21 Ultra. When I go back to display it changes to 60 hz
It's working well till you trun power save off then it's 60hz and not 120hz, so if you turn off power save it switches 60hz on and you have to to the trick every time you want power save on, rather not switch power save on as having to do the little trick each time don't stay like it after you turn power save off, shame really just to much to do just to keep 120hz on in power save. Great video tried it but you have to leave power save on ones you do this trick 👍. If your like me and have a full phone 🔋battery I turn off power save and that switches it to 60hz and don't stay on 120hz.
120hz isnt that big a deal to me but i do wish they would have had that option for the note 10 plus and it would been the most complete phone in my opinion. Samsung is disappointing me with these updates by watering them down, from my understanding when the note 10's get the ui 3.1 update the object eraser feature is not included with it. Im thinking of switching to apple, samsung has been letting me down plus the amount of time it takes some people to get an update with samsung is stupid long
I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS FOR MY S21U
Hey Jimmy, any idea why the Video Enhancer aka "Bright" Video setting isn't really noticeable on UA-cam?
Tries this but my apply button is greyed out?
I don't have smoothness option on my s10+... what can I do?
S10+ doesn't have 120hz display bro
This doesn’t work anymore?
does it work on one UI 5?
aint working for me, i don't have adaptive motion smoothness only high or standard, can't find to change it
Yes !! This is the same for me too
This trick is not working on my s21 on one ui 4 anymore. Is there anyone knows how to do it?
I don't know what I have mine set on cause when I turn it on it goes to 60hz
It's a great trick but you should do it every time you activate power saving ):
Samsung just removed font support in one ui 3.1 ?
