You were able to translate the events to the video so well I'm proud of you. And I'm glad you don't have to be there anymore she was your roommate with the intent to mold you into a person that was so silent and so easy going that you could hardly even be existing. It really shows that she's an only child because she threw tantrums regularly and can not be rationed with and it surprises me that she did so much more and you kept some of it out of the video to preserve her character as much as possible that's really grown up of you. these kinds of people always are just so... freakin' lovable! I especially love the voice actor you chose for her cause DAMN, her voice really felt like it spoke to not just Ogre but me as well!
All in all i think you may not have won the jackpot for a roommate but you definetly won a jackpot for an RHD!
One thing I learned from this is that being roommates may have it’s difficulties, but it’s about working together and solving each other’s problems. If you don’t like something, discuss it with your roommate, don’t be a child and act stupid because it’s not gonna get anything solved, it’ll just make things worse. Talk it out calmly, and a solution will hopefully display itself.
And that’s why I absolutely love this video, Yoon. Although I don’t have a roommate yet, I can understand this completely. And for that I thank you.

Honestly my sympathy for her ended with the light situation.
Just because your roommate has a social life doesn't mean you get to be salty about it. You're an adult. You need to be civil and learn how to compromise. When you share a room, you need to learn how to work together to create a friendly environment, not be a petty little brat and try to controle the whole room.
Speaking from experience, I had a roommate who would enter the room and at 2- 3:00 am turn on her bright ass light and talk to her friends and boyfriend as loudly as possible on her phone. Although I would leave to the library and study, and would bend over backwards to make her comfortable, she would act as if I was a guest or I didn't exist and do things (sometimes sexual)that made me feel really uncomfortable. It got to the point where I had to move out of the room, because she just wasn't interested in compromising and I was loosing a lot of sleep and weight over the stress.
If you ever get a roommate that doesn't respect your wishes and tries to control the room, then don't be afraid to move out. It is your housing departments responsibility to keep your safety in mind. So if you voice your concerns and are insistent on your decision to move, then they are obligated to move you, if housing space is available.
Don't take abuse from roommates and don't feel obligated to make a toxic situation work. Do what's best for you.

I'm surprised they didn't mention how not only recording your convo is illegal, but so is threatening and blackmailing someone. She could've gotten into a lot of trouble then because she would've committed 3 crimes technically. I still think you've handled the situation very well, you acted in a civil way, tried to be a good roommate, played the mature card, and didn't act in a petty way or even tried to get revenge or something. You've handled it all like an adult and that's very admirable, you should be proud of yourself for standing up for yourself and managing to get through it all. I respect that

This honestly made me cry for the second half of the video for you.! From the blackmail, finding out that you were recorded, to finally getting that toxic person out of your room.! although i haven't studied in college the fact of that is actually really bad. I do live in the dorm with one of my enemies during a camp. she would say things about me. so I didn't take action. but I'm glad you took action because for me. She is just my junior and i could get in trouble for punishing her. :(

I know this was from 2 years ago, but I have a similar problem that my sister had to go through.
My sister went to Salisbury University, and in her time there, she had 3 roommates.
The first one would constantly bring boys over and would steal my sisters food and even her money! My sister was so pissed off, she just asked for a new one.
The second one would also do the same as the first one, but my mom decided to come there and check up on my sister. My mom had mentioned that she was Asian and my mom assumed she was nice because how kind she was acting to my mom. Turns out, she starts to bring boys over and steals my sisters card, her food, and would fight with my sister a lot. Once again, she had to ask for a new one because she was so pissed off.
This third one, was the WORST. This was described by my sister, so that means that I know more of the story because the other 2 were from my mom when I was younger. (I am in high school rn) (LONG STORY)
My sister had asked for a new one and my sister felt relieved that now she didn’t have to deal with any more bitches. (Let’s call the roommate, Joy) Joy had introduced herself to my sister, yaya-yaya-yaya. BUT, after a few weeks, she changed. Joy had stolen my sister VISA card, blackmailed her, AND stole her food. It also turns out that she ASSAULTED a girl in the college, and that was illegal in the area. She was sent to court, and boom, jail. My sister and her friends were confused because she hadn’t came to school for 2 weeks, and when my sisters teacher told them, there jaws DROPPED. After that, my sister NEVER took a roommate again and decided just to have a room to herself.
