Hey Merriam I have been binge watching fashion shows lately and found myself thinking how interesting it would be to listen to a commentary from you on the different looks as they walk down.
Dunno if it's copyright or if you would even enjoy making "watch this show with me" style videos. But I was getting so curious about who could best suit all of the different pieces especially during the Zuhair Murad Spring-Summer 2024 Couture show.
Since collections are so cohesive with a consistent vibe or story throughout all the pieces, I find myself focusing on the way the designers can create a consistent mood through using completely different cuts and fabrics.
I was actually so happy to catch myself really noticing all of these small details while watching. It's 100% because of your content that I actually look more closely ahout why things look so nice instead of just thinking "Pretty 😍"
This is blowing my mind! I’m SD in Kibbe-long, vertical, sharp, but fleshy. Too fleshy for dramatic, D makes me look heavy. But also there’s something missing for me with SD, I’m no “diva.” I look really good in the wrap waist but not the glamour, I need something simpler. When you mention Cate Blanchet I really see she is neither D like they say, nor SD. Looked at photos of her on Pinterest and I can see now-she is the celebrity whose style meshes with mine.
Yay! I recall you once mentioned another inbetween type: something between DC/blended sharpened and SN/beveled soft. Hope you make a video on that too! 😊

love your videos, Merriam! could you make a video about people who feel like their best colors are bright, as long as they're not too warm or cool? I'm pretty sure I'm olive, but some days I think I'm warm and others I think I'm cool, I'm so confused :(
