  • Whenever anyone talks about great teams in esports, they usually just want to talk about the superstars. But as often as these gods might bask in the warmth of the spotlight, sometimes they’re known to burst into flames when they’re forced under it. But for Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth things are a little different.

    You missed one of the most important aspects of the scenarios: Xyp9x is a support player. He is often the one throwing set pieces and pop flashes, which Astralis LOVED. Because of this, him always being back keeps him at high HP, away from duels, and more likely to not die on entry like his teammates. While he is an insane clutch player, he also found himself in these scenarios playing his role to perfection; he wasn't like some players, who play back with hero AK and bait, but rather stepped up whenever his role was complete. (also, his support role means he often doesn't have util in clutch scenarios, forcing him to rely on duels rather than free kills)

    Just imagine, you're a HyperX Cloud Alpha Headset lying on the table with your wires in a jumble. They're not knotted but it's still relatively messy. In comes a lady picking you up and your cable snags on something on the desk. There is a loop in your cable between you and the snag. She pulls on you harder and the loop tightens as the snag fights against the pull. You feel your wire insides stretched as she pulls on you harder and the loop tightens into a weird messed up knot. Eventually, the snag loosens and you are free. But at a cost, your cable is now irreparably damaged and you are scarred for life.

    When team is alive he is nervous but once he is left alone, his mind is clear with what to do. He is the type who underestimates himself.

    My theory on how he can clutch it out easily: Cause of how brain cell losing and confusing his gamer tag is, they are so busy trying to understand it, xyp9x can just do easy work on them

  • @tiernan922

    It’s kinda funny how they had a computer specialist to explain what xyp9x is doing lmao

    • @DasDieDerErik
      @DasDieDerErik 4 роки тому +2

      She's not necessarily a computer specialist, just because she works at the CS department. According to the universities website, she specializes in:
      -Evaluation of player and user experiences
      -Psychophysiological assessment
      -User mastery in digital contexts
      -Social connectedness and wellbeing
      Which obviously are rather psychological.
