The thing about JW is even when he was constantly getting shit on by the community, He still had that cocky, flashy, arrogant attitude that’s so unapologetic, it’s incredibly entertaining to watch. What made it even better was that it wasn’t all talk, he actually had the skill to back it up. That must be one of the greatest feelings in the world, knowing that you’re so good at what you do, haters have to go after your physical appearance because in game, they can’t get anywhere near you. In my college dorm in 2013, we used to have little viewing parties of CSGO tournaments. Watching fnatic and NiP, Team Dignitas, Verygaming, NaVi... a few others. Man that was incredible. Jw would smack talk and be a poor sport at times. That's where the hate came from. NiP was very humble and played loose. They were on another level at that time. I remember that moment you showed.. that was what why people focused their anger on JW. That video was big on the subreddit for CSGO. I remember it very clearly. Those early tournaments inspired us to make our own teams. We sucked, but I miss those days of CSGO so much.
The only clever joke at JW's expense I've ever seen was a guy saying "got to meet famous CS player JW today, he was super nice and even let me take a picture with him" and then the guy posted a picture of himself hanging out with a pug at the dog park.
If you ever get into semi Pro or Pro Am sports, you know it is very crucial to have the same confidence like JW when you are in the top of the competetion. I act like him before, being a sore winner while making tonnes of enemy and I short lived my basketball career by just giving up on it.

I've set up a team, and they've set up a team to settle it for good. I ended up recking them on de_tuscan, hitting almost in every round wallbang awp headshots through the wooden boxes, deagle multi-kills and shit like that. After that i was the same like JW after winning against NiP in that notorious clip. It felt extremely satisfying, because those other dudes were good as fuck as well, but i was in a kind of flow state where i was extremely unpredictable, and they thought im not that good because i couldnt have that level of focus on all our matches we played together. Summary: trash talking is sure good if youre on the winning side of things. Especially against people who arrogantly think they can look down on you, while they are not better than you at all.

I was about to say this. If the match was unfair, which it was (having to win twice), theres no need to shake hands. Especially with the team who got their win taken away. Sounds like the community were a bunch of crybabies back then
That is not the reason, JW was screaming toxic shit in swedish after the match that should not be okey in pro sports at all, plus deying the handshake was just the frosting on the cake.
You would be annoyed if you had to replay and then winning again you would just be hyped. It was just the heat of the moment and if it’s years ago and he apologised it shouldn’t be a big deal imo

Shaking hands says "good game" to the other team. Why would I say good game to a team that challenged the validity of whether it was a good game or not? Dude obviously caught a lot of flack for a sound decision.
Because the rules were poorly executed. Imagine playing OT thinking it's gonna be BO3 just to find out it's not, the admins and Fnatic org weren't forced to do anything, they were the ones who decided it was fair to replay it. Maybe do some research first.
