- Mr. Goodpliers tours a woods full of hundreds of abandoned cars and trucks 1940s to 80s! Fred had a wrecker service and used car lot since the early 50s. Come along and see what we find!
This video was shot April of 2023, and many of the cars have been moved out of the trees. Around one fifth of these cars have been sold. Scott, the new owner, can be reached at 620 330 6815. He is only available weekends at this location.
Joe will be in his Glory with all those old Fords !
I spotted a Studebaker at 5:30. Sounds like your guide is a Stude guy! Love that Econoline at 16:10.
Yep, saw it too
Those Econoline pickups are rare, as was Dodge's equivalent model {also shown here}
@@ernielaw yes indeed. The Ford E100 and Dodge A100. I believe the Dodge got a V8 option. Ford only had inline 6.
I could play the game of "Guess the Carcass" for hours at that place...
I visited there last century. Back then it was the legendary home of a '69 GTO Judge 4 speed
That's a ship load of cars. Greetings from sth Australia 🇦🇺 👍
I need a pickers road trip..I’m getting that itch again
The owner's contact number is in the video description box. He is available weekends

Thanks for stopping by the channel Charles!
Sort of reminds me of going through one of my Dad's 450' by 180' sheds after he passed. Being an Arctic Cat, Yamaha, Kawasaki and John Deere Snowmobile Dealer from 1968 to 2000. All the Trade Ins he took in. And several Snowmobiles still in the Factory Crates from as far back as 1975. About 60% were easy to get running. The rest were parts or Scrap bound. Took 6 months to Inventory everything to Sell. Took 3 weeks to sell them off once the Sale was announced.
Wow. What a treasure trove of motorcycle and snowmobile history under your fingers. Did you contact Mike & Frank from American Pickers to buy some of the motorcycle stuff you had? Wish I would have known about the massive barn sale of those items. Betcha, you had tears in your eyes 👀 watching your dad's big transportation collection & history empty out the huge shed/barn full of stuff your dad accumulated over the decades. But think of all the people who are to this day really enjoying all the items he held onto, so one day, the heritage of your dad's dream came full circle. Great story of how your father preserved transportation history to be re-enjoyed by new and not so new generations of like-minded aficionados of Artic Cat, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and John Deere.
America just keeps on giving these old classic car finds, your lucky to be able to keep finding them hard to find any now in 🇬🇧.
Looks like I need to take a road trip.
gorgeous 1959 buick!
Awesome collection of classic iron!.👍💪
THANK THE SALVAGE YARD FOR NOT CRUSHING THEM. HOPE THEY GET A LOT OF PEOPLE WANTING PARTS AND RESTORE AN OLD CLASSIC.
I was working on the road for many years as a railroader. I worked in KS, OK, TX, AR, and LA a lot. Old US Route Highways have always grabbed my attention. Once, traveling in between El Dorado, KS and Augusta, KS, I saw a whole of cars being drug out of the trees that stood 300 yards off Hwy 54. I stopped and asked, and looked as much as I was allowed. The old Hwy alignment had changed in the 70s and left some businesses behind. This gas station/wrecker service place was one of them. They pulled some old classics out and put them in an open field adjacent to the Hwy 54. There is a lot of old history on HWY54 and predates Hwy 66 in some spots. It goes from Chicago to El Paso, TX. South of Hutchinson, KS, Hwy 54 follows the railroad to El Paso, TX. This used to be part of the Cotton Belt that the Southern Pacific owned, then later the Southern Pacific merged into the Union Pacific RR. I was working on the line. Many years ago in the 80s, I worked on many of the old RR branch lines in KS, that are now abandoned. We entered the state in the NW corner near Colby, if my memory serves me. We worked the entire state for six months testing the old railroad tracks (rail) with ultrasound. What an interesting trip that was. I really can say, I have seen ALL of Kansas! Fun time. In your video there is a shot of an old Hwy alignment. That reminded me of all of those memories.
Sounds VERY interesting, Lars... I am retired now, but, I would have loved an adventure of going around a lot of the country working on the trains......you were lucky!
A lot of these cars look like they can be saved. In the parting shots, I like the 57 Imperial and the 60 DeSoto.
WOW ! Station wagon city man cool full-size ones too ! That Stubabaker station wagon Silas from adventures made from scratch has one like that ! That gold Ambassador two-door Moma had a four-door one like that that was blue . Lotsa Bufords ! Love that GMC tow truck !
Great video saw a 52 Hudson in the mix wish I was closer someone will grab it
I love all those antiques Cars and trucks Some of those pick up look really nice Thank you so much for the video
Liked the 1967 Firebird
Heard him say something about a Talladega also a 428 Torino Saw the tail end of a 57 Buick ! My favorite Buick !
Will have upcoming footage of the Talladega in the next walk around video
The local dealer in Yates Center sold Buick and Pontiac, so they are well-represented there
I like that 67 Firebird!
Amazing how many old vehicles are still out there waiting to be found thanks for sharing
I don't know what you're riding in but you may want to check the fluids. Seems like it takes an awful lot of power to keep that thing moving. 😄
Nice one
See all those fastbacks… wow!
two of my favorite cars next to each other ,the Marlin and the Grand Am.....very cool...hard to find yards like this!
I remember getting to drive a57 ford back then and it was so smooth, like it was floating on a cloud. I was used to driving 50 type chevys with a shorter wheelbase
Waiting for the walking tour of part 2, I bet this will be good.
Great cars love the 65 GTO and love to have a set of power window doors off one of the 2 blue 80s square body pickup trucks. I can't wait to see the walk around great video.
I saw a beautiful barn find 2 days ago. It a 1934 Nash 3 window coupe. It's unrestored and will need a little run. But overall it's rust free and complete. It also has the very rare straight 8. That makes it 6 inches longer.
AWESOME 😮, Barn finds are best ❤😊❗... My husband got a 84 Chevy Stepside C-10 out of a barn n gave it to my son😉❗... Needs a tranny now but thats all. 🙏👍❗... It starts everytime still 👏💥👏❗... Its been a good 1 n wont be sold even tho she needs tranny n floor n paint 😣❗
Shes jus part of the family n on my back patio ✅💯❗
That blue and white Ford 4×4 stepside would be a nice project.
I bet the old man knew every car on his property
top man love all this genuine rust and crust .new channel 😂
Thanks for stopping by to watch, Peter!
mr goodpliers i knoow you cant save them all but as a musclecar guy please save the 65 GTO the buick GS and the firebird. alot of those cool old wagons need saved too like the 64 tempest and the full size pontiac 64. oh yeah and the 2 door post 59 chevys, the 68 Grand Prix, the javelin , the 2 door 63 galaxie and the 2 door 62 chevy the 6/7 cyclone and the 68 coronet 2 door. and how bad is that 55 chevy 2 door ht sitting at the end of one of the rows? looks like its hit pretty hard. cant wait to see the walk around video. wish i wasnt stuck here on the east coast. all that solid old metal boggles my mind. keep up the great videos. youre the best you tube has. ps dont forget to rescue the hoodscoop off the ford super duty dumptruck somewhere around the 18 minute mark. pontiac super duty guys and old gasser builders are always looking for them
😍Oh wow!!!!!👍
Lots of oysters, few pearls.
@6:48 that '68 Grand Pricks is really rare. Great video!!!
Great video. Love the 59 Buick flattop that was there. You do great yard videos.
Wow, it's a lot of space out there.☺️
Whole lot of Buicks , not many antiques , but a nice day out in the yard . Till next time , Stuart in Ontario ..
wow, at the 19 minute mark, my first car and even the same color, a 58 Chrysler New Yorker Two door hardtop in Champagne Gold.
You got to take the washed out red GMC wrecker to the Rust Ranch.
Hey Tim buy that GMC twin boom wrecker and get'er back on the road doing classic car recovery for you and Joe😊. AL B.
hahahaha 14:20 I actually need the passenger rocker panel plastic molding off one of those Uplanders...but I'll get that locally isn't worth a trip to Kansas for one plastic piece
this is an amazing find and there is a little bit of everything out there for anybody who has the coin to spend and the ability to load and haul what they want out and back to their place...I hope to be one of those people in a few years before all these treasures are picked over and gone
Got to save the 59 Buicks.
Big orange chevy wrecker is cool!
Lots of really cool stuff there, hope some of it hits the road once more. I really like the '67-'68 Ambassador hardtop and the '68 Ford Country Sedan, because we used to have one.
WOW !!!!
Lots of good cars there holy ...
i can pick a few sir some nice big old wagons thankyou . looking forward to part 2
love this stuff - i need a project
Whats the deal with the rest of the yard
as a forty year antique/ muscle car restorer. usually when you find a yard like this the undercarriage of these cars are rotted out. plain and simple. most of these cars are only for parts. but if you have the time and money go for it thanks for the vid
Looks like project car heaven! That green Pontiac CanAm was interesting, I thought they only produced them in white.
GTO
.....might have been a Grand Am.....a friend of mine had a blue one.....I think it was about a '73.
Yes it was a GTO. That one has sold
Hi tim some good finds there . Cheers mate🇦🇺
When are you going to show what you do with these old cars?
I think I saw 3 1959 Buick LeSabres in there.
If anyone was a 2 door hardtop, I'd give my left one for one of those.
Regards,
Duck
The headline should have read, '1940s to 2000s. The latest car shown was the silver Focus which was seen 3 times. The one here would be a 2000 to '04, but I have an '06 Focus. There were also some cars of the '90s in this field.
I’m literally reminded of the Johnny Cash song “One Piece at a Time”. Look it up. The guy who had this yard lived it!
You made me jealous buying that grand lemans wagon for 250.00 . Owned one years ago a been looking for a while, good buy.
It's still here. I'd take $1000. Pretty ruff old car though
"Forget your past; China is happy to. Let it go." " No Sir, we want it back. " Nostalgia sells, folks.
Looking for 1964 gto parts
Where this location vehicles at
This is what happens to them all if you hold on. Lovely place though.
Hoped to see more AMC's. The later 60's Ambassador looked good.
There was also a nice Marlin, 1965 to '67.
Looks like a great place to wander for a day. Hope the new owner saves them for others to harvest. Looks as though the collection could condensed down to quite a bit smaller area but would be a huge undertaking to clear the land
look at that Buick fast back 2 door hardtop..next to that buick wagon ur lookin at..
the fastback is the good one
4:50..Ah, a '54 Chevy 2 door!..I've come to love '54 Chevy's in the last few years..53's, too, but not so much..I don't care as much for the tail lights or grill design on a '53 as much as a '54...5:30..looks like a '56/'57 Studebaker sedan...I don't believe they made that many full-size Studebakers in the '56-'58 period...5:50...somebody like Mercury Sables?..crush it, I say!..
If you are interested in a vehicle, what is the best way to get in touch?
The owner's contact number is in the video description box
Like the rebel
I assume by "changed hands", the property has probably been sold by the heirs to developers who want cleaned up to develop it and want the cars and other stuff gone?...
Classic car guy who has pulled them out of trees, and is selling them off for projects and parts cars. Aim is to save as many as possible
That's great to know, unfortunately that is the rare exception to the rule...many get crushed in the great rush to sell and develop the properties...@@mr.goodpliers6988
Was that a dragon fly flying through the cab at the 9:44+ time mark lol and what up with 428 torino
what you drivin' sounds like a tank.
I love the 68/69 Buick skylark. Always have. I love the ugliness about them
Sounds like you're driving around in a Sherman tank
UTV of some sort, might have been a Polaris or Yamaha
Nice one❤❤ 1:26
I like that burnt dodge cornet
Where was that burnt dodge cornet sitting at did it have motor and tranny in the car
Wow
how do you find these?
Ten years ago I answered an ad for a 1969 Lincoln 4 door, listed for sale an hour or two east of this yard. On the way out to pick it up, I spotted a semi truck loaded with flattened scrap cars leaving this place. I stopped and talked with the owner and the scrapper. They were friendly enough to let me pull parts for a couple months while they hauled out several hundred cars for iron.
So to answer your question, a bit of serendipity while heading down the highway, had me end up in the right place at the right time
@@mr.goodpliers6988 its crazy how you stumble upon these places. I'm from wisco and yes we do have barn finds but not field finds
I just watched a video in youtube called What the rust 100,000 vintage parts for sale in this antique auto parts. Thought you may like to see all the old parts. And its all for sale
Would like to have seen the ones already sold.
Ten years ago I bought a 1950 Pontiac fastback, a 1959 Pontiac wagon, 1960 Pontiac wagon, and van load after van load of parts. A friend of mine bought a 1958 Pontiac convertible, & 1958 Plymouth two door hardtop. There was a 1969 GTO Judge sold sometime 6-8 years ago I would guess. Decades before us someone got a 1958 Impala convertible, and who knows what went out of there before I knew of the place. There used to be twice as many cars here. It seems full in the video, but it's comparatively sparse now. This place used to be packed
Black 48 Plymouth 👍🏻
Lots of old iron! Wondering what the contact information of the owner is?
Great video!
Take a look in the video description box!
@@mr.goodpliers6988 thank you!

Hi, I’m looking for parts for a 1965 through 1970 Oldsmobile 88 or 98 parts. I’m wondering if you have any parts that you would sell?
Sad to see those cars rotting away. What’s the location?
Seems too me, you have more glass, trim, and chrome bumpers. The glass will be worth more I think, if this country doesn't implode.
A scrap yard is ALOT different then a USED car lot.
In general, there's a front row, and a lot of "back rows"
I would have snagged that 67 firebird
rat rod heaven!
Maple motors has one of those Econoline pickups with a v8 on there lot.
......on THEIR lot......learn English......
Have you ever thought about doing a build off ..Maybe get some interest from some of the other collectors of classic cars..two or three builds out of the wrecking yards ...see who has the best of the best and then aution them off and donate the cash to a cancer center.for all of the car nuts out there..That would be so cool...wish i could help..
1969 I thought was the last full size GP's?
1968.
Was that 73 Pontiac a Grand Am? or one of those LeMans Sport models?
GTO
Lesson: Don’t leave a mess like this behind when you go!
I had a gmc like the one at 26:57. Would love to have that truck. How do contact this guy?
I need a few parts or will but the hole truck
When is the part 2 coming out? Part 1 was a teaser. Lol. Couldn't see much between the camera shaking and the guy driv8ng to fast. Hahaha
USA?
Where is this at?? You are from Kansas so let me ask you if you remember a huge junk yard or junk in fields as it were. It was Oscar Kramps or cramps. It was south of Clay Center Nebraska across into Kansa?? I bought a 70 GTX from him for $200.00 in 1987 and I think he had 2 other brothers there also. It was" Deliverence on the Plains"
This is at Yates Center Kansas. I wasn't really able to travel around to junkyards until 2003, so I missed quite a lot I am sure. I have never heard of Oscar's yard until you mentioned it.
Do you know if they have any 61 are 62 Caddies. I could use a parts car. I appreciate the video
I am building a 38 Chevy pickup. I seen one on this video. Can I know where this place is at.
Can somebody let me know if they sold the 65 GTO at the beginning of this video
