I have this at least once a week, and when it happens I get the presents feeling of someone else and I'm a belly sleeper and can't see my room or move, I honestly lose sleep sometimes over it.
I have it nearly every night and multiple times in some night even up to like ten times where I keep waking up and when trying to go back to sleep I slip right into it, it’s still uncomfortable but I’m pretty used to it now and it’s not so scary
Abby Aguilar I've been having it for quite some time now , I cant remember exactly when it started but it has certainly been happening for a few years , and each time my reaction is different , sometimes I'm calm and just wait for it to go away , sometimes I panic and try as hard as I can to wake my body up , sometimes I don't even know I was having it until after I wake up , there are even when I'm just like "oh well here we go again" , nevertheless it's an eerie experience every time and it's hard to not think about it or just go to sleep afterwards
I felt like i was on a swing and it kept getting stronger and stronger and then my eyes automatically shut and all i could see was this white swirl right above me spinning and I couldn’t move but i knew i was awake. Its fucking scary, i had tears rolling down my face.
i’ve had this happen to me a fair amount of times the past few years, genuinely such a terrifying feeling. the worst is when you’re stuck trying to talk or scream and you cant
Had it happen once. Mentally cried out for Jesus and was immediately snapped out of the terrifying experience I was in. For anyone that is unfortunately experiencing this in a reoccurring manner should try it.
imagine falling asleep in class and then waking up with sleep paralysis but no one knows whats going on and everyone crowds around you including your sleep paralysis demon
After experiencing sleep paralysis multiple times, i can say that horror movie does not scare me much compared to before having sleep paralysis. Because having sleep paralysis is like BEING IN A HORROR MOVIE
Nope I am not scared, I have been on several paralisis because I am aware that I am on paralisis so I don't associate it with supernatural being involved.
@@OGGAMINGL1VEouuu that’s a good tip actually, ever since i experienced sleep paralysis i sleep on my stomach just in case lol. haven’t had it since tho.
@@gamingaccount9255 yeah i once screamed “GOD IS STRONGER THEN YOU” And then I got pushed even more so then i said “OKAY YOUR STRONGER” and i suddenly woke up. But no one heard me cause it was in my head
A good tip for people getting sleep paralysis: When you feel you can't move just keep your eyes closed even when hearing creepy things etc because you can easily try to get back to sleep as long as you keep calm
That's what I do too. The moment I see the creepy figure I just close my eyes again. There was this time where I feel them shaking my bed aggressively. I literally thought there was an earthquake at first. I was about to scream and then I realized that I couldn't. I also tried to move but still can't. I closed my eyes then opened them again. That's when I saw the creepy lady in black standing beside my bed looking at me. I closed my eyes then tried to focus on how I'm going to wake myself up.
@@mamamo3131 yeah or also moving your fingers helps too because most of the time u can still kinda move your fingers and by doing so your brain will wake up. The only time i actually had a kinda sleep paralysis was that i woke up and i heard my mom but very creepu and she kept touching my feet and i fell asleep but i still dont know if it was a dream or like "real life"
@travelguide8991guess I’ve always been lucky sleeping downwards when getting sleep paralysis. Last night however it was terror, for some reason i couldn’t sleep, I laid and tossed 3 hours without the ability to sleep, and around 4 I was so tired, but still couldn’t fall asleep, after one final positioning move I started to drift away, instead of feeling the urge to move i instead felt this heavy feeling, having had paralysis before I knew exactly what had happend, but stupid as I am I still tried to move and realized the horror of being stuck, i started to panic, it got harder to breath and I fought with my last strength. When I finally could move I immediately slumbered and got paralyzed again and everything repeated, it was like deva-ju. This happened 4 times before I got up and just felt dead and shaken to the core, I just sat up the whole night without being the slightest tired, when the sun came up I slumbered away. One part I left out for traumatically reasons was the 4th/last paralysis, which finally woke me enough to get up. After the third deva-ju I moved slightly up so I saw my window(and the darkly lit northern forrest) I can’t explain what it was but it was large evil and resembled a wendigo. I tried to scream but nothing happened, I swear it laughed and showed it’s teeth before it float away.
It actually feels nice to know I’m not crazy because I can’t discuss this with anyone they would think I’m crazy This is the most terrifying I have experienced
I totally understand you. Last night i had one. It was horrible. I was sleeping on my belly and then i "woke up" and i couldn't move a muscle. I was like "Oh no! Not this again!". Then i started to feel like something was pressing on my back and i started to sink into the mattress. I felt like i couldn't breathe so i started to panic. Then i remembered that if you try to move your fingers you can wake up from a sleep paralysis. I tried that and it works.
@@rocioluque956 I get it a lot when I pass out in the car for some reason. Took my wife awhile to understand it after seeing it. I’m able to grunt sometimes and see then she will shake me to try to get me out of it. Gawd damn it sucks and didn’t know what it was for the longest time and trying to explain it to someone that has no idea thinks your just weird :p
@@marioc2923 Yeah it really sucks, and when I tell others what it feels like they look at me like "you're weird". Fortunately (or unfortunately) my mom had episodes of sleep paralysis so when I told her what happened to me I felt relieved that I wasn't crazy or something like that.
I've suffered from sleep paralysis for as long as I can remember. It used to terrify me because I grew up thinking I was being haunted by a demon. Didn't really talk to much about bc I thought people would think I was crazy. When i did talk about it, I'd get the "it's just a nightmare." Usually the paralysis alone is scary bc I'd feel/see a presence and it would feel like it would put a hand on my chest, holding me still and knocking all the air out of me. One of the scariest episodes was when audio kicked in and i kept hearing a voice repeating non-stop, "kill yourself, you wanna die" as if it were trying to convince me to commit suicide. All I was able to do was lie there crying...then I'd repeat a prayer until it went away. When I finally searched the internet and came across videos like this, I was able to identify it. Now that I understand that it's no demon, it's occurred less. When it does happen, it's scary but not as terrifying as before. My wife can hear me trying to call for help when it happens, so she's able to wake me up. She's a keeper 😆
I am similar. I've found that during the "attack" i can control 2 things. One is my breathing. I can take deep breaths (most of the time) and the other is I can make sounds.....like moaning. My wife is under strict orders to yell, hit, shake, punch me, whatever it takes until I'm fully awake and able to move. I got a keeper too....over 43 years!
@@t-boneskillet1496 You sound as if you have the exact issue as I do. It's a terrible thing with which we have to endure. Other people don't see it, feel it and most haven't even heard of it...but we live with the possibility of it every night. Also I've found that some nights, if I go back to sleep too quickly, I fall right back into the same paralysis and THAT......oh that really is distressing. Fortunately that only happens like one in seven or so times. Hope you don't have that too. Thank you for responding. And my wife, yes, she is exactly the kind of woman I needed to marry and a true gift from God. (BTW, T-BoneSkillet is a great name!)
@Fireball XL-5 definitely very similar stories. I don't recall having it reoccur if falling back asleep too quickly. I'm happy to see that I wasn't alone in this. This was much scarier when I actually thought a demon was following me all my life. A simple movie like Paranormal Activity freaked me out bc I felt like the wife in that movie.
For me I wake up and I’m totally calm and my minds just kinda like ‘oh crap not this again’ and I never see anything or feel anything I just can’t move and it’s annoying 😂
Its still better i think... Mine is annoying because when it happen, not just my body that cant move, i hear evil laugh (loudly in my head) that make me scared and the room atmosphere is 180° different, like in the haunted house. Im okay with the sleep paralysis, but the evil laugh, nope ;_;
I’ve learned to control it over the years, first time I was just a baby boy and I truly remember how terrified I was, like you’re barely able to open an eye lid and see through. It’s an absolute awkward feeling but if you take deep breaths in between and as you exhale try to kick your whole body and usually it snaps out of it. But if you’re panicking and your hearts starts to race because you don’t know what to do , I believe someone who’s unhealthy can have a heart attack out of this .
@@Dada-zm2jb I know right ! Only those who have it can really relate , absolute odd feeling but now I’m happily giving advice to those who never experienced it. I do believe that proper sleep schedule and healthy food intake removes all possibility of severe sleep paralysis. Best of luck in the future !
How do you stay calm? I remember after I read that one should just try to stay calm until it passes. I tried, but it's sucha terrifying experience, I truly thought that if I didn't "fight" to wake up, I am going to die... I have started to try to bite my tounge, hoping the slight pain will be enough to wake me up. and then I have tp physically sit up (Even tho my whole body feels like lead), because I am too scared to fall asleep again...

Had my first sleep paralysis about 30 minutes ago, which is why I'm back watching videos about it now. It's honestly no joke, this was the most terrified I have ever been in my entire life
Usually when I sleep on my back is when it’s most prone to happen for me. Sorry you had to go through that I know how you feel. Very scared and vulnerable…
Don't forget to mention the loud buzzing vibration that pulsates through you. If you try to move you end up having sensation of falling, rolling or floating out of body. From there you can go peacefully into a lucid dream. If I force myself to breath deeply that helps a tiny bit too. But usually you are too tired to breath like someone drugged you but your awake in a haunted house.
For real. I try to move, and I think i'm moving because my brain kind of tricks me and creates a scene in my head of my successfully moving, but then I realize I'm not actually moving. I don't think I've ever actually been able to fall into a lucid dream after sleep paralysis though. It's always just me panicking trying to wake myself up.
@@extracub1974 when your brain tricks you and creates a scene in your head...that would be the dream part. If u remmeber to ask if it's real and realise it's not, thar would be when you are aware that your dreaming; lucid dream.
@@evemacdonald8654 Idk if I'd even say that's a dream, because usually that happens to me when it's really dark. I just slightly feel like I'm moving my body, but then realize that I'm actually not. I just want to wake up.

Whats scary is that you cant even scream and call for help. Its like you cant grasp for air and words wont come out I experienced this its awful. Update : Just experienced another sleep paralysis I was lying on my back of course, I heard footsteps near me so I slightly opened my one eye and I couldnt see anything and in one moment I saw a window open by itself!!! I heard more footsteps and I could hear some grunting but no one was near me! I wanted to get up but I couldnt so I wanted to call for help but I could barely make slight noise and I used every bit of strength to move my legs and I barely got up. Not a pleasant experience
I'm sharing my experience And how I deal with it.. At first, I was scared of this I was scared to go to sleep after experiencing it.. Sometimes I wished someone could just shook me up so that I get awake.. I was scared earlier, Because I didn't knew what was this.. But now after understanding it.. It Has helped me to deal with it better.. So now, when I get a sleep paralysis.. My mind knows it.. I say to myself , that you know this happens and it doesn't last for long.. Its just your mind thinks that you are dreaming so he just switched off your movement so that you don't hurt yourself lol😝.. So it calms me down a bit.. Then I try to move my fingers and eyes, hoping to break the sleep paralysis.. Sometimes it works Sometimes it doesn't.. When it doesn't.. I again get scared.. But I tell myself.. Don't worry.. Don't fight with it.. Just relax.. And then I don't try to fight it.. For some seconds.. And after that, I again try to make little movements, to give my brain signal that "hey.. I am awake..! Just turn on the movement switch lol.. I'm not dreaming " And vola.. I am out of it.. So next time.. If it happens with you.. Just remember that it is okay.. Don't need to get panic.. 😊.. Try to get enough rest.. Because it happens to me when I don't get enough rests lol..

Man, when I was paralyzed I heard people talking like you were at the mall. I was trying so hard to move or scream because I was hallucinating that my brother is choking me. It was scary.
I had a lot of sleep paralysis that learnt me how to wake up in sleep paralysis. If you can manage to take a deep breath while its happening. Your body will wake up immediately.
If you’re struggling to find control when in sleep paralysis, WIGGLE YOUR TOES!! It always calms me down because I slowly start to regain movement from the feet up. It gives you a sense of control when you feel helpless, and it has been vital in helping me deal with sleep paralysis over the years.
i try moving my fingers but the more i try to move anything for me the deeper i go. so i have to time every thought perfectly like not to open my eyes, and if i do see things i look down. AHHH its so scary
Sleep paralysis is almost a common thing to me for the last 2 months. One thing I've learned from past sleep paralysis experiences is that to fully wake myself from my sleep paralysis is to force myself to breathe very deeply then release it and repeat it over and over for about 3 time or more until you can move one of your body parts (i'd recommend your finger/hand/arm) to lure my self to wake up and then you'll be concious again( based on my experience). I promised myself not to try to go with the flow and force myself to sleep at times like this, because when I had this sleep paralysis, I had to breathe manually(maybe this isn't the case with you), what I mean by manual is that I need to have the desire/will to breathe in my brain so that I can actually breathe (unlike when you are fully awake, you can breathe naturally unconsciously). Sometimes, when i focus myself to sleep during the sleep paralysis, I find my self forgetting to breathe, so the only option i have is to force myself waking up LATEST EXPERIENCE: recently I was trying to go with the flow and trying to let myself sleep but what happened suddenly I saw the white light fading and suddenly my ears heard a buzzing sound (take the flashbang sound in Counter Strike game since it is the closest to what I was experiencing) and it's getting louder and louder until it hurt then I forced myself to get up with a quick breath deep breath like I usually did before. That was my most recent experience ever 'till now. I'm speaking facts here based on my own experience, I haven't done any researches aswell so this just a pure impression of what you would be facing when you're in a sleep paralysis. So let's get in this together and raise this comment so maybe someone can get some research on this. It'll be good if i can hear your experiences aswell.
My paralysis story: Because of quarantine I've been waking up a lot later; like 3:00-4:00 p.m., but I was woken up at 9:00 a.m. to say bye to my father who was leaving for a trip. I was up for a bit but then fell asleep on the couch downstairs and woke up to my brother telling me to wake up. He was shining a flashlight in my eyes but I couldn't open them and could only flutter them. I couldn't move and I was really confused and wondered if I'd gotten coronavirus and this was a side effect or something or if I had broken my spine and would never be able to move again. My brother walked away and I tried to call his name but I could only gasp (bruh). I eventually tried moving my fingers and once I could wiggle them a bit I was completely fine; I never want to deal w that again though please, especially not at night :(
I just woke up this morning and I saw my little broter making his bed so I wanted to wake up but when I tried I couldnt wake up I tried screaming my little broters name then he fell on my bed and moved my body and then I could move I was so happy then I told him that I couldnt move and he said he heard me but just ignored me It was very scary

i’ve been experiencing sleep paralysis for years now and over the years i’ve become less fearful while in sleep paralysis but the best way i’ve been able to wake myself up or get out of it is to calm myself down and take slow extremely deep breaths, making sure the breath goes through my whole body, it’s really hard to do especially when ur so scared but once u get that down pact it’s easier to control
Yeah just take deep breaths, try to calm your body and wiggle your toes or fingers. Panicking will make it worse. Also I have sleep paralysis quite often because my sleep schedule is so fucked up and I never see any hallucinations when I open my eyes? Lowkey feel like that’s a myth. I feel pressure on my body and hear a ringing sound in my ears but no visual stuff like demons or whatever
For anyone experiencing this phenomenon....I read a book about sleep paralysis once a few years ago. It stated that when you fall asleep on your back you leave the front of your body "exposed" and this in a more vulnerable position and more likely to enter sleep paralysis. On your back you're positioned in way to where all you have to do is open your eyes and your point of view experiences the whole room...and whatever may or may not be there. The book suggested trying to sleep on your stomach with a heavier comforter or blankets or whatever you prefer. Just make sure it's heavy enough to make you feel "safe in your bed". I tried it and haven't had a sleep paralysis experience but once in the last year and a half. And even then it was mostly my fault. I haven't slept in almost 3 days and was hallucinating slightly before I even went to bed. Consistent, quality sleep is another key.
It happens to me when I sleep during daytime regardless of the fact that I only sleep on my stomach, ever since I realized that if I sleep on my back it would happen most. This thing is just so painful and pray it goes away forever.
You have read a wrong book. Sleep paralysis occurs mostly when you're laying on your back and your hand is on your chest, it puts an unnecessary pressure on heart causing disturbance in blood flow. Our brain reacts to it in the form of sleep paralysis. Secondly, it can occur when you lay down on your arm and the blood flow is restricted. Avoid using heavy blanket, it can put more pressure on your chest. You can literally die of heart attack in sleep by doing such nonsense if you're a heart patient and feel sleep paralysis more often. I have been experiencing sleep paralysis since I was 14. I'm 37 years old now. My best advice is, always lie down to the left side. Try to breathe deeply as soon as you realise that you're trapped again.
I just experienced sleep paralysis for the first time this morning while waking up. It was terrifying! So I’m trying to understand it better. I was sleeping and dreaming on my side/stomach with my back to my bedroom door, when suddenly my eyes popped open and I heard the very overwhelming, pulsing, high pitched ringing, as I was trying to make sense of what was happening to me I suddenly felt this crushing fear of a presence that I could not only sense but hear walk closer to the end of my bed. As I tried to roll over to try and look at whatever it was, that’s when I realized I couldn’t move at all just my eyes, which only intensified the fear. It was at that point I knew that I was in sleep paralysis. I have a cousin who has told me all about it because, it has happen to him since he was a little boy, he said it would happen 2-3 times a week! I couldn’t imagine! I was 100% sure that there was something there, I believe that once I knew that it was in sleep paralysis I quickly snapped out of it sitting up in bed gasping for air. Truly terrifying! I’m lucky I didn’t have any hallucinations of any entities. But I could definitely feel something behind me!
It’s interesting you and other find it scary, I didn’t find it scary atall. It felt to me more like a psychedelic experience, definitely a bit unsettling but I wouldnt describe mine as scary
I had my first sleep paralysis today when i was trying to take a nap. My hallucination was a bird fluttering around my head and screeching. Pretty weird but still scary in the moment since i didn't know what was happening

I had one yesterday, i was in a.. weird position lol but my hallucination was a ringing sound every time i tried to move and the more i move the louder the sound was, i got really annoyed.
Dont shout. It'll make thing worse. Focus yourself by relaxing. More likely, if you're conscious that you're in a sleep paralysis, gently close your eyes and relax. You can also say motivational words if you want to make it out fast😁
Just had sleep paralysis, I heard a voice say something and then never again. I didn't open my eyes because I knew it was sleep paralysis and didn't want to see whatever was there.
I pray too. It's because every time it feels like real life and I think I'm spiritually under attack. It feels so real. And it gets me through it. I've had worse ones that I can't put in to words.
It usually happens to me whenever I try to go back to sleep after waking up, especially if I’m still really tired. Sometimes I literally can’t go to sleep for a while, because it’s just a cycle of entering sleep paralysis. I’ve thankfully never had any hallucinations or anything like that, I just get stuck feeling like I can’t breath. One time my lips were kind of closed together, and my nose was stuffed, so I was struggling to get oxygen. That’s the worst when that happens.
omg, i just thought about it like if someday my nose get blocked due to cold and my mouth is close then what will i do 😢. What was your experience though

Just telling a little story about my sleep paralysis, when I went to sleep one night I started feeling that I was actually drifting into sleep paralysis, it was scary as hell because it felt like someone was right next to me. I also felt that someone was lifting my hand up and down as if it was floating or smthn. After I got out of it, every time I attempted to sleep that night it kept feeling like it was gonna happen again every time I closed my eyes almost as if I was being forced to stay awake, that was the first time I've ever been that scared of sleep paralysis since I always get it so frequently. I stood up the whole night because I was paranoid, but when I told my mom she told me to start praying at night and so I did, and that's when I stopped getting it for some reason. Till this day I always wondered if it even was sleep paralysis. :/

Sleep paralysis is actually a dream. The reason you’re flinching in real life and trying to make noise is because yes, you are trying to wake up. The last couple of times I’ve had it I actually managed to wake up. The first time I had it though I couldn’t, and I saw my blanket slowly being pulled up from my feet. I was terrified.
It's not a dream. Your brain wakes up but your body can't move and you can start hallucinating but you are not sleeping. If you look at the brain waves then you'll see that they're awake and I suppose dreams are just an asleep hallucination.
@@echastee I’ve just had another one, it felt unreal. A shadowy figure held me down by my neck, couldn’t speak or move but I wasn’t afraid. I “woke” up I guess and I was paranoid. I used to get terrible sleep paralysis episodes nearly weekly during my entire first year away at college. Never felt the stereotypical “pressure on my chest” or “sleep paralysis demon”, but being fully awake yet unable to open my eyes or control my body was absolutely terrifying. It happened so much I eventually developed a method to get myself out of the paralysis-instead of immediately panicking when I’d “wake up”, I’d try to calm myself and count down from 10. I’d then pinpoint a specific part of my body (usually my big toe or index finger) and focus all my energy in trying to move that part. Eventually I’d be able to move it and slowly gain control of my body again.
I've experienced sleep paralysis a couple of times now. Most recently, I experienced it last night. I was only asleep for 30 minutes when I felt myself become aware of my surroundings. I was in my room, sleeping next to my boyfriend in our bed and i felt terrified. I couldnt move, i couldnt talk, i could barely breath. I tried so hard to call for help, but i couldnt open my mouth. I tried to wake my boyfriend up, but i couldnt move. I heard him wake up, and he said something weird that didnt make any sense. I then shot up, waking up completely and I could talk. Next to me, my boyfriend was sound asleep; he hadn't woken at all, so I'm assuming I was hallucinating or still in a dream like state. It's really the most horrible feeling I have ever felt, being aware of my surroundings but not being able to move or talk.
I'm also a very active lucid dreamer. Sleep paralysis seems to only happen when I realize I'm dreaming, but dont want to be in the dream anymore. For example, the first time it happened, I was graduating High School again. I had a very bad experience after high school, and I didnt want to repeat it. So I tried to convince everyone I wasnt supposed to be there, but no one believed me. Then, all of a sudden, I was trapped in my room, and I couldnt move, I couldnt talk, and I was terrified. I felt awake, why couldnt I move?! My boyfriend slept next to me, unaware the panic I was in. I tried to scream, to say something.. but I couldnt. But, this was last time was more terrifying. It lasted longer, and it was weird believing I was receiving help, when really I wasnt.
@@AndreaMay27 would you find yourself waking up again and again to another sleep paralysis that same night? I did, once i realized it was sleep paralysis it felt as if i coul control it to happen again and again if i wanted too, it also felt like a very realistic dream , im not sure if i was dreaming instead
I feel like I’m being held down and I’m screaming out for help but can’t actually talk. I feel I’m making loud sounds but no one in my home has ever come to check. It’s confusing and scary
Last time, I heard, "She's watching you..." "GET OUT OF HERE (in the most demonic voice)" "Ready to go?" A demon with indescribable features appeared right in front of my face. I couldn't move. I couldn't shut my eyes. He screamed in my face, and before he could impale me, I woke up. Scariest sh*t I went through.
A good way to wake up from that is to first be calm. Go back to the sleeping state by trying to close your eyes. And then try to wiggle your toes and fingers. From there try to move your hands and then arms and then just push yourslef to sit up. This way it dosent feel like a lot of effort
@fuzion_zaiv I've got sleep paralysis twice too- I just experienced my second one maybe 10 minutes ago which is why I'm here 😭 I've been choked and unable to move or talk both times
Sleep Paralysis Happens with me many time and what I realised is that ur brain do some kind of Calculations or Like Defragmentation I mean Sometime I hear Voice and I Feel like my brain is processing on them like they are my memories and last time I was seeing hundreds of faces in front me changing instantly like my brain was doing some kind of Work on Faces.and it let us use our body when it finishes working like Computer don't allow you to shutdown it down during important process but it's just my theory xd
Me: laughing at people scared of sleep paralysis 😂 Me after getting sleep paralysis: All hail god, allah, bhagwan, lord Jesus help me live and prosper 🥶🥶🥶
I remember one time I've been experiencing Sleep paralysis every night. I googled plenty of times trying to figure out how to prevent it, my sleeping pattern was normal too. Weirdly enough it always occurred whenever I sleep on my stomach, instead of my back. One night I tried very hard to sleep comfortably and I was very afraid of going to sleep, expecting to experience it again, and just before I closed my eyes it happened. At that point I wanted to cry, I didn't want to sleep and I grew tired and scared of experiencing it every single night. I don't experience it any more (for now) and I hope to never experience it ever again.
yeah same!!! it has been happening to me recently and my sleeping schedule is not different than before. I tried going to bed earlier last night, legit 21 pm but i still experienced it. I sleep on my stomach.
I've experienced sleep paralysis so much now that my brain sometimes makes up scenarios where it feels like Im awake and escaped sleep paralysis but then I see myself on the bed again
Usually its just a few seconds and yeah somehow i always break out of it too. But last time it was lasting veeeery long and i couldnt manage i and i was screaming for help :'D
I've experienced it three times now. Last time it happened I actually realized what was happening (because I had researched it after the second time and therefore knew what it was this time) and I said to myself "ok you're still asleep. WAKE UP!" and was able to snap myself out of it with sheer willpower
So to break out of it. You need consciousness. You're dreaming and having sleep paralysis but you know that you're having it. Gently close your eyes and stay calm. In a few seconds you're out of it.
I had a black figure come inches close to my face before and I fought so hard to get control of my hand to punch it away and at the very last second I did and it disappeared into my wall...was scary af.
I just came here because I just woke up from one, I felt like I was being choked and some girl was like like SCREAMING at me and I couldn’t see and I’m VERY thankful for that
Sameeee I felt 2 presences a little girl and a woman. The little girl was on my back and was laughing and the woman was next to my bed talking in another language... which was creepy but it occurs so often that im used to it and in my mind I was like: get tf out of my back girl😠
This was my first ever SP experience, but also the most terrifying. The night I experienced it, I was laying in bed, staying up late when I knew I shouldn't be. All of the sudden my body went a little numb (I was still able to move tho) and it got very hard to breath. Earlier that day, I was eating a packet of chips, and it somehow fell down my bed without me knowing. So when I experienced SP I heard someone digging into that chip bag and When I turned my back to face the wall, I heard someone walking across my room the whole time. I couldn't move for a good 5 minutes, and when I tried to move it felt like I was going to fall or something. Once I was able to move, I grabbed my phone and messaged my parents to come into my room, but when I opened my phone to message them, my note pad app was oppen and somehow someone/something wrote a bunch of Z's in my notepad. That was the scariest night of my life. Of course, my parents didn't believe what I said, and I just slept next to their bed on the floor that night. I hope no one ever has to go trough SP. It's truly one of the scariest things a person can go trough. What it wrote: Z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z ź z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z zz z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z
I also got it for the first time, its really not a great experience I think I'd think I was crazy if that happend to me, thankfully when I had It I just couldn't move but was aware of my surroundings and it just felt tight and like I died. Like i think I was dreaming and then suddenly I was in a sleep paralysis
Can we talk about the creepy physical sensation, too? Like.. You feel than someone possessed you and you feel so weird in your entire body, like someone or something is inside you, I can't explain but it's really uncomfortable and you just want it to end. It's like a bad trip, because I did a bad trip one time and I swear it's the exact same sensation I felt. But I felt it during 3 entire hours during my bad trip trip. Literally.
To get out of sleep paralysis i try to move my body off my bed so i can fall and wake up but i end up dreaming that happening then i end up in another dream still having sleep paralysis.. in conclusion, i travel through dreams during sleep paralysis 💀🥺
If you are struggling with sleep paralysis I highly recommend researching REM sleep. Coming to a better understanding of whats happening helped get rid of my fear. You will still likely experience it from time to time but you will no longer be scared of it though you might find yourself in uncomfortable positions
What sleep paralysis acctually is: your body preventing from moving in your dreams and real life at the same time. (Basically you move in your dream, but sleep paralysis makes you unable to move in real life as you are in a dream. This stuff thats considered sleep paralysis is just a dream inside a dream with your sub conscious leaking in.)
This happened to me for the first time last night and it was terrifying. I was having a very vivid hallucination-type dream, even with my eyes half open and looking around my bedroom. My boyfriend was laying next to me and I knew he was still awake, so I started breathing rapidly and was able to make some sort of noise that alerted him that something was wrong. He put his arms around me and was able to bring me out of it. I can't imagine how much scarier that would be for someone who is sleeping alone. I was scared to fall back asleep.
@@obsoleteelite8258 sleeping alone has its advantages too but I agree that it is a blessing to have a partner to sleep next to. I had another episode of sleep paralysis not long after that first one when he wasn't home and that one was even scarier. It included something talking to me while I was paralyzed. It felt so real, I started questioning whether or not there's something supernatural to these events. I even had my eyes open and was able to see everything around me when it was happening. That one was completely auditory with no visuals like the first one.
@Darth Cayden Dude thats terryfing, never knew sleep paralysis could last for 8 mins. My sleep paralysis usually last for no longer than 20 secs, but i have them somewhat often.
I once went into it on accident, had insomnia, slept on my back, nothing was touching, i remember slight pain in hand i had at the time. And then shit hit the fan, honestly if you don't feel the buzz from horror movies, sleep paralysis would satisfy your itch, but sh*t, that experience is hard to put in words, the sounds i heard where the most disgusting i have ever heard and the panic attack, when you try to scream but can't, idk even
Yes it is okay to pray but sleep paralysis depends on the amount of stress you have, the amount of sleep you get, or how bad your anxiety is. Of course praying is not a problem but it doesnt decide if you get sleep paralysis or not.
Did you feel a pressure in head and teee..... Sound in ear it's getting louder and louder and it feels like I can't move my head but eventually I force my head to get out of it.
I understand same experience I have already done many times It has become normal for me I'll give you advice when you hear buzzing too much At that time you should calm and calm if you'll fear and something like desire to wake up then your buzzing will increase more That's why at that time be more calm And about your waking up by finger technique yes it's true It works because I do this.
I got sleep paralysis last week and I heard loud whispers and its closer and closer and suddenly, a scary image (jumpscare kinda) popped out of my face and I woke up sweating like hell but Icant move a muscle.
zyrish Yes this has happened to me for years. It is terrifying and happens to many people with sleep paralysis. Many people describe it as looking like a scary demon.
@@urmom-ye4cr one of the first time I had sleep paralysis, I saw floating lights swooping around my room and heard a screaming that wouldnt stop. Remember, if you’re awake but you can’t seem to move and it’s hard to breathe, don’t, under any circumstance, open your eyes. Try and move your toes, fingers, and tongue. This will help you to wake sooner.
Had my first experience at 25 years old. I was sleeping on my stomach and could feel someone on my back forcing me down. I couldn't move or get up. One of the scariest experiences in my life.

When you feel you can't move just keep your eyes closed even when hearing creepy things etc because you can easily try to get back to sleep as long as you keep calm

@@mamamo3131 yeah or also moving your fingers helps too because most of the time u can still kinda move your fingers and by doing so your brain will wake up.

@Fireball XL-5 43 yrs old!! definitely a keeper 😆. My "cry for help" is usually just a moan too.

Do you hallucinate while in sleep paralysis?
@@alireardon6664 I can't say I've experienced visual hallucinations, but definitely auditory hallucinations, and an overwhelming sense of dread.
I'm sharing my experience
And how I deal with it..
At first, I was scared of this
I was scared to go to sleep after experiencing it..
Sometimes I wished someone could just shook me up so that I get awake..
I was scared earlier,
Because I didn't knew what was this..
Sometimes it works
Sometimes it doesn't..
I'm not dreaming "
And vola..
I am out of it..
So next time.. If it happens with you..
Just remember that it is okay.. Don't need to get panic..
😊..
Try to get enough rest.. Because it happens to me when I don't get enough rests lol..
I feel I’m to young to have sleep paralysis I’m almost 11 it’s really scary and then I feel like ima die and I try to tell my brain that I’m awake and that I’m not in a dream so I just try to move my foot a little-

It honestly worksmost of the time. But the last time it didn't.
That's what i do, i can move my toes. When it starts i panic, but then i remember i can move my toes, calms me down and i ends it faster
Sometimes, when i focus myself to sleep during the sleep paralysis, I find my self forgetting to breathe, so the only option i have is to force myself waking up
LATEST EXPERIENCE: recently I was trying to go with the flow and trying to let myself sleep but what happened suddenly I saw the white light fading and suddenly my ears heard a buzzing sound (take the flashbang sound in Counter Strike game since it is the closest to what I was experiencing) and it's getting louder and louder until it hurt then I forced myself to get up with a quick breath deep breath like I usually did before.
Yes this is so true. I also try to talk and pray as hard as I can
What happens to me it kind of feels like a dream but you know you r awake i wake up crying and traumatised sometimes
My paralysis story:
Because of quarantine I've been waking up a lot later; like 3:00-4:00 p.m., but I was woken up at 9:00 a.m. to say bye to my father who was leaving for a trip. I eventually tried moving my fingers and once I could wiggle them a bit I was completely fine; I never want to deal w that again though please, especially not at night :(

i’ve been experiencing sleep paralysis for years now and over the years i’ve become less fearful while in sleep paralysis but the best way i’ve been able to wake myself up or get out of it is to calm myself down and take slow extremely deep breaths, making sure the breath goes through my whole body, it’s really hard to do especially when ur so scared but once u get that down pact it’s easier to control
I sleep on my side, absolutely terrifying since I have retired from a very stressful job I have had one incident in 4 years
Yeah just take deep breaths, try to calm your body and wiggle your toes or fingers. Panicking will make it worse. Daniel Morse sameee
Can that prevent sleep paralysis?
Bris Squad4Ever When I sleep on my side it prevents me having sleep paralysis but if I’m on my front or back I tend to get it.
I tried that, but still get it even when I lay on my stomach or side.
It happens to me when I sleep during daytime regardless of the fact that I only sleep on my stomach, ever since I realized that if I sleep on my back it would happen most. This thing is just so painful and pray it goes away forever.
@@St.PierreProductions sleep on your right.
Sleeping on your stomach is worse you have a higher chance of suffocating sleep on your sides

It usually happens to me whenever I try to go back to sleep after waking up, especially if I’m still really tired. Just telling a little story about my sleep paralysis, when I went to sleep one night I started feeling that I was actually drifting into sleep paralysis, it was scary as hell because it felt like someone was right next to me. I also felt that someone was lifting my hand up and down as if it was floating or smthn. I was terrified.
this is only sometimes, theres a word for what youre talking about but ive had it when i was being woke up a bunch of times.

It's not a dream. Your brain wakes up but your body can't move and you can start hallucinating but you are not sleeping. If you look at the brain waves then you'll see that they're awake and I suppose dreams are just an asleep hallucination.

@fuzion_zaiv Bruh, you kinda just get used to it. I don’t see any demon or anything except one time I heard thumping of footsteps 😳
Rip
@fuzion_zaiv I've got sleep paralysis twice too- I just experienced my second one maybe 10 minutes ago which is why I'm here 😭 I've been choked and unable to move or talk both times
It happened to me several times.
And it always happens after I’ve slept longer than normal and I’m always laying on my back.

You tried everything?
Aww that's sad I'm glad that it stopped I can't even imagine how terrifying it must hv been
@@Maria-cu3qs does it still happen or has it stopped now

I've experienced this several times but I've always 'willed' myself out of it. I always panic and start focusing to break out of it
Usually its just a few seconds and yeah somehow i always break out of it too.
@@RinChan82 I did that too but i said "oh, im not moving, another sleep paralysis"
Then i gently relax myself and close my eyes

lol
You must not know who the president is then.....🤭
Ima be honest I was so confused when I had my first sleep paralysis I was so tired I just didn't give a shit when I saw a zombie grabbing my arm
I also have gone through sleep paralysis but you can escape that by acting very active and shouting
Same for me..
The fact it has no treatment makes it more scary
I sometimes feel like my soul is living my body.😭 can’t move and it’s a fight to get to move a muscle in all this.

I just came here because I just woke up from one, I felt like I was being choked and some girl was like like SCREAMING at me and I couldn’t see and I’m VERY thankful for that

Dear i don’t think it sounds like a sleep paralysis..
Literally.
It’s like a wierd fuzzing buzzing nosey feeling like your not safe where you are either 😩

Having a partner next to you is a blessing. I’ve slept alone most of my life and I’m in my late 30’s.
@@Sara-gl8ue I’ve been experiencing them more frequently.

OMG ME TO I CAN NEVER SEE COZ I SLEEP ON MY BACK BUT IT ALWAYS TOUCHES IT.....!!!!!
I once went into it on accident, had insomnia, slept on my back, nothing was touching, i remember slight pain in hand i had at the time. And then shit hit the fan, honestly if you don't feel the buzz from horror movies, sleep paralysis would satisfy your itch, but sh*t, that experience is hard to put in words, the sounds i heard where the most disgusting i have ever heard and the panic attack, when you try to scream but can't, idk even
I only experienced this ONCE and after I prayed to Jesus, J never had sleep paralysis 3 years from now.

@@Empirechavez Yeah, I agree.
Yes it is okay to pray but sleep paralysis depends on the amount of stress you have, the amount of sleep you get, or how bad your anxiety is. Of course praying is not a problem but it doesnt decide if you get sleep paralysis or not.
Tru tho
Did you feel a pressure in head and teee..... Sound in ear it's getting louder and louder and it feels like I can't move my head but eventually I force my head to get out of it.
@@Engineer_ki_meme yea it feels like I’m vibrating and someone is shaking me
Same with the breath..i must control it..😰
I understand same experience I have already done many times
It has become normal for me
I'll give you advice when you hear buzzing too much
At that time you should calm and calm if you'll fear and something like desire to wake up then your buzzing will increase more
That's why at that time be more calm
And about your waking up by finger technique yes it's true
It works because I do this.
After watching this I was glad to be in the 93% of the population
I have non-visual sleep paralysis rarely. I can hear laughing and weird noises. Its terrifying.

Remember, if you’re awake but you can’t seem to move and it’s hard to breathe, don’t, under any circumstance, open your eyes.
Try and move your toes, fingers, and tongue. This will help you to wake sooner.
