I am an interpreter and my job requires a signature from different facilities on a form that has been emailed to me. This allowed me to have a signature added to a form without having to pay for a complicated app to do so. I'm not sure why it seemed complicated but android just had a writable pdf app that made it seem more simple. Thank you, the markup tool was just what i needed!
This works well if it's on as an attachment, but does not work if files are sent via word document etc etc, even if you convert to PDF, you never get the markup option even after saving it. But nice video.

Maybe I miss something...but I received a form to fill out and of course I can’t fill it out online I have to print it out and fill it out manually...(I know how lazy can I get)...is there anyway I can change the form they sent so I can fill it in online...thank you...and thank you for informing us on how many things our iPhone can do...
Yeah just download it and look for the markup tool. Most of the time it’s available. You can also take a screenshot of the file when it’s full screen on your iPhone and then use markup again to fill it out. There are text options in markup same spot as the signature. It’s tedious but works.

Don’t think you can sign an actual email but your email provider offers signature options at the bottom of each email. You might want to try using that.

The pen icon? It may not appear for some documents. For those you might have to take screenshots of each page and then use the pen that way. Depends on what it is.

You would have to look up stylus that work with iPhone and try that.

I have iPhone 6 with iOS 12.xx not iOS 13 or 14. What iOS is your instructions refer to?
Unfortunately you need iOS 13 or later. I don’t have a work around for older devices.

Yeah, it's becoming more and more difficult. As time goes on more apps keep blocking its use.

So how do you create a document that needs someone else’s signature?
You will need to get an app or something that can create those types of documents.

How do I attach documents to the email I’m sending out
You can open it the document on the iPhone then use the share button and select your email app. It should attach
I don’t have the pencil option when I open my pdf or should I say it’s not there at all
Seems like some pdfs have changed it’s ability. Some block it I’m trying to figure it out.

Unfortunately not unless you add it to your signature manually with your finger when creating it.

In your gallery as in photos? Edit the photo and tap markup tool.

It wouldn’t let me save it. From gmail to edit then it crashes. Ugh
Try restarting your iPhone and also make sure your iOS software is updated. If you are low on space that could be an issue too.
