well the line is easy and straightforward. but when it comes to a rectangle ( what you sadly decided to not to show) AE start to do the trimpath from an angle. Like I made a rectangle shape trim path and it starts to do from the bottom right corner the top right corner remains there. i dont know what settings to change.
instead of using trim paths, search "Linear Wipe" in the Effects>Transition
i learned that trim paths are made for...paths and aren't effective when trying to manipulate filled shapes.

I don’t know what’s wrong but for some reason when I try to do a line it come out really skinny?
I was hoping for an explanation of "start" and "end." To what do these refer. A line has 2 starts and ends as does any path. Is the right side the end or the left side. A circle has no end. I have watched numerous tuts on trim path and no one has addressed this. Can you help me with this?

this trim path makes me ill !!!!! when i make start/ end animation it's bugged - it starts but ends rewind...i cannot finish a simple stroke animaion...why is this so complicated ?!

please helpü the world with expression commands how to loop trim paths....for a very clean loop animation, we dont want it to stop after 5 frames...thank youuuuu
how do i make a line with a rounded end
go to the shape layer of that line => click on contents => than click on shape => stroke => and put the line cap on round cap. :)
