I am a former Muslim, saved years now. I teach Churches how to reach Muslims. So many of the same things about reaching Muslims that I have been teaching for years, I just heard this former Mormon brother teach them too, but for reaching Mormans! These principles must be universal to reaching all people groups!

They say if someone sins, repentance is difficult to receive because all former sins return to you as well. Not true. They say only mormons are allowed to attend BYU. Not true. I know people personally who are not mormons who went to BYU for their business program. Micah shared things about his interactions with his mission president from his mission that are very suspect. @@HectorPriamedes1 We are past the day of bickering and in-fighting amongst anyone who is a believer of Jesus Christ. Adam's Road has opinions and they are entitled to them. My concern is how much time and energy they devote to tearing down and dismantling. One may agree with Adam's Road's position and they have that right. For me, when I know there are half truths or lies introduced when trying to tear down or dismantle, that is concerning. As you watch Adam's Road, ask yourself "Does this build my happiness? Does this built my light?" Let that be your guide if you pursue Adam's Road or any other institution.

That is because the two Latter-day Saint missionaries who came to your house have the companionship of the Holy Ghost (besides their Authority and knowledge of the Gospel). I hope you humbly go through the missionary lessons, pray about it, read the Book of Mormon, which is the Stick of Joseph. Read Ezekiel 37 in the Old Testament. The Bible is not the only book of Scripture. It has a Companion. It is the Book of Mormon. Ezekiel says to put both of them in our hand and they shall be as one.

Amen to all of this. In college, I was trying to convert my friend to Mormonism, and he was trying to convert me to Christianity. The ONLY WAY I was willing to consider his views is because he also considered mine. Now, I’m not sure he -actually- considered Mormonism as possible truth (maybe?), but every other week we went to each other’s churches, prayed that God would reveal the truth, and then studied the Bible together using the topical guide. He would bring up something he didn’t understand (agree with theologically), such as the practice of baptism for the dead, man’s potential to become like God, and 7 levels of heaven (just to name a few). We would then go to MY bible, look up the references, and go study it in context (I wasn’t used to contextual studies). Time after time, I discovered on every single issue that the Mormons’ reference didn’t make sense or that the scripture was taken way out of context. For instance, Baptism for the dead - I remember my dad just quoting a single verse from 1 Corinthians over and over when I asked him where it came from. And he wasn’t willing to go deeper into the Bible to get a bigger picture or see what Paul may have meant - he just kept quoting in King James English, “Else what shall they do which gave baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all?” But when you look even a tiny bit into it, Paul was rebuking the Corinthians who didn’t believe in a resurrection, and apparently, these confused Corinthians were baptizing on behalf of the dead. But nowhere else in scripture - by ANYONE - is this practice talked about, mentioned, taught, nothing.
Anyway, in the end, I had to admit that the references didn’t support the theology, And then I finally realized that the entire New Testament teaches that we are saved NOT by our works, but by grace alone (and yes, our deeds and obedience are a beautiful evidence of our faith, but it’s not the other way around). This, I couldn’t reconcile. Jesus has offered us a gift and we cannot earn it. We don’t have to “do all we can do to live with Him some day.” I was heart-broken to realize my religion was false. I was the best Mormon there was and believed it fully. And then, once the church “not being true” was an option for me, I started to realized how truly cult-like the religion is. I was sent to the dean’s office at BYU for asking too many questions and left in utter tears. I was sent to the bishop, and also to the stake president - to be fair, they did try to answer my questions, but honestly there was never an answer that satisfied the questions. Everyone really freaked out and got upset that I was looking at “anti-Mormon literature” and my dad even told me through tears that I was following the leading of the Devil. It was the worst feeling - know he was wrong, and that I was only following the Truth, and he wouldn’t understand, and I was breaking his heart. Ugh. My family are all either Mormon still or atheist. I have no idea how to encourage them to read the New Testament with new eyes - they won’t’ listen to a black sheep like me. But I keep praying for opportunities and for the Holy Spirit to guide me in conversation if/when they ever happen.
Thank you, Micah! I actually did a Bible Study in Windermere with Alicia. Best of luck with your new venture doing camp!

This is fascinating. I have had two Mormon missionaries visit me twice now. The first time they gave me a copy of The Book of Mormon because I asked for one. I also gave them my hardcover copy of "Is Atheism Dead" by Eric Metaxas. It was a pleasant exchange and very cordial. The second time they came they asked me if I had started reading The Book of Mormon yet and I told them that I had. I read about many other religions because I want to know what they believe so I can be an effective witness when sharing the Gospel. I'm expecting them to come back. This time I'll need to get a little deeper with them. We are keeping friendly but we are also talking past each other. They know that I've been born-again for a long time and they can tell that I know my Bible. I know a number of former mission presidents they have said they would never kick a missionary off their mission for the things he's described. They would work with them and try to help in whatever way possible but they'd never be as callous as Micah described. This is a handful of people but each of them said that reaction from Micah's mission president would be highly atypical and wrong if it's correct. I invite you to seek this part out more for your own confirmation. Matt Wilder told me personally that Adam's Road (which actually is no longer) was founded for the sole purpose of being anti-mormon. Matt also said that to go to BYU someone must be mormon. Not true. I have a good friend who went to BYU who was not mormon. They went there for the excellent and competitive business program offered. Again, please look into this further on your end. Lastly, I respect anyone's right to worship however they see best. Not everyone agrees on theology and as long as they practice in a peaceful manner that doesn't bring ill to another, I feel it's best to practice whatever belief one holds most sacred and will improve their life the best. There is no 100% declaration in the bible that mormons are going to hell. There are many interpretations, extrapolations, and inferences that people produce from various bible references, but it can't be done to determine the actual eternal state of mormons. Too many people try to judge mormons or other groups before the God of Heaven Himself has had a chance to judge. This is a very slippery slope for all those passing judgment on someone's eternal well being. Adam's Road and the Wilders express their opinion, experience and personal feelings as if they are the ultimate authority. Be careful when anyone dictates ultimate authority from a personal opinion or experience.

Thanks for sharing this, recently I had to mormons knock on my door and they didn't come out and say they were mormon, in fact, they just told me they had a church named the church of Christ and avoided mentioning of latter day saints, it was only when they left that I knew.
So after this I realized that I don't know much about LDS and wanted to read more on them I only know what I have heard from others and it was not good so I read up on the history of Joseph as I started reading I was in the "I'm gonna prove them wrong!" and in that "battle" mode I guess. But the more I read, the more I felt sorry for them.. their god is powerless it cant save, he is a liar that contradicts himself at every turn and jesus is not who he says he is in the bible (according to what Joseph taught) they need the REAL gospel, the REAL God who can save, the REAL Jesus that died for our sins and this needs to be delivered with love for they have been very wronged by their church leaders. Hopefully if they ever comeback I can lovingly give them the true gospel of salvation.

That only goes so far. Jude told us to earnestly contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. Christians are to fight to preserve sound doctrine, and sadly that often does involve argument. As for your mormonism, I can tell you I was born and raised in the mormon cult, just outside of SLC. If you remember nothing else I say, remember that the difference between mormonism and Christianity is the difference between polytheism and monotheism. Mormons might be many things, and many of those things might even be good things. But the one thing a mormon is not is a Christian. If you believe in more than one god, and you believe you can become a god, you are not Christian, nor do you worship the Christ of scripture. The God of the Bible is the only one in the universe, and He leaves no doubt and no room for any other. Read Isaiah 44 through 46 just as an example. I pray you leave the cult and embrace the God of the Bible.

@@mcsegeek1 First of all, thank you for sharnig your insigts.. Personally I do have some issues with some of the things you said, mainly for the reason that the academic understanding of how certain things were meant by the original authors of the Bible, are not really what many of us make out of it these days..
For example when God stated that "There is no other God besides him", we get the same author state the excact same thing about "cities", that were also to be considered for there being "no other citeis like Babylon" and so forth. And the point was not to say that there were no other ciies, but that these cities were of no relevance to the inhabitants of them.
And that also may be indicated by the God of Israle loosing in combat against another deity around the city of Moab.
Not just that, but also when God states that "there were no other Gods formed before me", he obviously refers to "formed" Gods, which was also the audience he was addressing, meaning, that was the context of that passage.
Also when we look at the first couple verse of Genesis, where it states "in the beginning", it is academic consensus that the way it is rethorical and grammatically used in that place, it is also used in other places to refer to "the beginning out of something", but certainly not to the beginning out of nothing, which is also indicatged by the following verse that states that "the earth was waste and desolate", meaning, it was there when God began, but it was in chaos and unshaped..
The only way I see how someone can be considered being "non-christian" from the perspective of an evangelist is
      1. When the Bible itself makes clear that the Bible is inerrrant, univocal and inspired word of God in every sylliable
      2. When it can be made certain that your particular interpretation of the inherent Bible is also correct
      3. When within those that follow your doctrine is brought forth the "good fruit", by which we are to discern truth from deceotnion
Now, there is much I could say about all of these things, but in short
      1. Jesus himself teaches different and contradictive versions of hell, to name just one example, so how can anyone be certain to follow the true Jesus if even the Bible is not consistent and univocal?
      2. If the Bible is not inherent, it explains why so many evangelicals still disagree on so many things. So, how can anyone be certain to follow that one perfect doctrine and undertanding of Jesus that leads to salvation? What makes the difference if the worwd itself is not clear on everything vital? Prayer? The Holy Ghost? But what if Mormons make that same experience within their own canon?
      3. Paul made clear that even knowing all dcotrine, having faith to move moutnains, working mighty miracles, and even sacrificing your life for God, are all not fit to be the "good fruits", for without charity, they are all worth nothing, but Jesus made clear that once we taste of the good fruit, we will know with certainity that the tree (source of the information) is also good..
.... and since everything can be faked, manipulated or pretendet, whether that be our understanding of scripture, the words of prophets, and even visions and dreams, our inuiion, emotion, experience and moral judgement, and yes, even the charity, the good fruits can only refer to the amount of charity that is brought forth wihin ourselves..
In other words, and of course that is just my interpretation, everything that inspires to bring forth parience, love, kindness, wisdom, long-suffering, the desire for truth, sellessness, forguveness, and so forth, is of God..
And when we look at the good Samaritian, we see that he was just kind of like a Mormon. The Jews despised them, considered them Pagans, serving a false God and erring in doctrine, and yet Jesus still considere thath Samaritian "good", because by showing mercy and charity, he did the wiill of the father, even if he may not have been aware of it.
So, I apologize for the many words ,but I think Jesus does not care about who is Christian and who is not, or who says Lord Lord and who knows and does all things perfectly right, but he cares about those that bring forth the good fruits, whether that be Evanghelicals, Mormons or Atheiists...

We can have a high degree of certainty on the historicity of the Bible and the historical person of Jesus, more than very many other historical figures and writings. Example, the earliest biography of Alexander the Great was 300 years after his death, for Buddha it is approximately 600 years post his death. For Jesus, the 4 Gospels range between 30-70 years post his death and closer in time to us than the former.
Faith only comes into play when accepting or denying the metaphysical claims within the Bible such as the Resurrection and what Jesus said about himself being God.
Respectfully, you need to learn when to apply faith because faith isn't needed when discussing the reliability and historicity of the Bible, or you have to throw out every other historical figure prior to the invention of the photographic camera.

I think many people can benefit from learning from other religions. But God is the one who opens hearts ultimately. Many evangelicals do not even know what members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe. There are also three levels of conversation had with this discussion that evangelicals miss. We appreciate the work that evangelicals do in helping people to find faith in God and Jesus and to read the Bible. But we’re way past that discussion into one of a higher nature, and that is how do we become as Zachariah puts it in the Bible “Saviors on Mount Zion”. There are some in the LDS culture who have never developed faith in Jesus. We are grateful that God provides Evangelicals to talk to them to reach them that way. We members of the Church who KNOW and don’t just believe that God is real and Jesus is the Christ and that They appeared to Joseph Smith the same way the appeared to Stephen in Acts 7:55-56 would not convert to evangelical thought. We’re past the level 2 conversation that Evangelical christianity brings up:
    Level 1 - Is there a God
Level 2 - Is Jesus the Christ
Level 3 - How does God still interact in the world today to save mankind?

@@alisterrebelo9013 missionaries are basically teenagers still. Their goal is to bring people to Jesus Christ using the restored gospel. The details aren’t something you will find answers for those questions. If you want answers to those questions, consider FAIR or Jacob Hansen or Blake Ostler or Don Bradley. They can answer those deep questions with scholarship and accuracy.
That said, I’ll give you my answer to that and you can pray or consider it. The Bible (Old Testament in this case) was ruined well before the time of Christ. Josiah (while seen as good) began the birth of Rabbinical Judaism and their interpretation of the Torah. Their unearthing of the record in Josiah’s day was what I believe happened to what we know of the Bible (Old and New Testament) today. The earliest proof of the New Testament is 400 AD. If you read the Book of Mormon 1 Nephi 11-30, it explains what happened as well. But basically, both the Jews of Josiah’s day who had lost the priesthood (the candlesticks or authority of Aaronic priesthood spoken of in Zechariah) took what was there and the scribes changed or maybe even tried to translate things the best they could. But it was in the earth and likely had parts missing they filled in etc. There are parts of Isaiah in the bible that the Book of Mormon corrects that isn’t found in the dead sea scrolls, but is a more correct translation when you get into studying Hebrew. It is way more advanced than I can describe on a youtube comment, but FAIR has done apologist arguments on this if you are interested in looking them up.
So the Romans also did the same thing as in Josiah’s day. The church had lost the authority (see Ephesians 2 & 4, Acts 1, Mark 3, and a few other chapters I can give you) that highlight that apostleship is called by the “laying on of hands” and is part of the priesthood. Once they were killed in 70 AD as Revelation 2 prophesied, the “woman” or the Church “fled into the wilderness” or in other words, was taken from the Earth, just as it was in Josiah’s day. The scriptures were changed by the Romans just as they were in Josiah’s day as well. God has been actively trying to restore truth and His word to the Earth since this time, but wills to only act according to men’s faith. Thus, the Bible and all the flaws within, will at some day be corrected, likely when Christ returns. We claim to be Christ’s restored Church, but we do not have a fullness entirely yet. For it must be unfolded according to the faith of men in Christ.
I hope you will read the Book of Mormon prayerfully. God will guide your study if you are open to truth and doing all God asks of you 💟🙏

All of your judgment, scorn and mockery removes peace. Guess what, if the LDS lose their ability to worship in peace, all of you could lose that very same thing too. We should be supporting every peaceful person the ability to worship in peace and without judgment. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's and Jesus Christ true church here on earth. We know and teach the bible better than any other denomination and there is *nothing* in the bible that contradicts us, only things people twist to try and discredit us. The gospel we teach is, Jesus Christ dying on the cross is what allows us to be forgiven of our sins and is the gateway for us to be resurrected and have eternal life. Without that, no matter what we do, we wouldn't be able to save ourselves from our sins without the atonement. We believe that we are saved by grace through faith but that faith isn't just professed belief and is also expressed in our behavior and/or works (Matthew 7:21-23, James 2:14-26, Titus 1:16, Isaiah 29:13). Or put simply, works are outward manifestations of faith in Christ. However, those works are not what save us. Jesus Christ paved the path to God with his blood when he was crucified and you have to follow the path that was laid out for us to walk in to get to God. The path we must walk to live with God again that the Bible (and Book of Mormon) has said to do is to 1st have faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:36, John 6:29), 2nd keep the commandments (Matthew 19:17, Luke 11:28, John 14:15, John 14:21, Hebrews 5:9, 1 John 5:3, Revelation 12:17) and not to purposefully sin and/or repent when you have made a sinned (Acts 3:19, Acts 17:30, 1 John 1:9), 3rd make and keep the ordinances that God has asked of us like baptism (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16, Romans 6:3-10, Titus 3:5), 4th to serve others and love (Matthew 20:28, John 13:34-35, Galatians 5:13-14, 1 Peter 4:10-11) and 5th faithfully endure to the end (Matthew 10:22, Matthew 24:13, 2 Timothy 2:12, Revelation 2:26). That path is God’s and Jesus Christ's grace and walking on the path that was paved for us by Christ is our faith. It is clearly defined but also straight and narrow and you can slip off the path. The good thing is you can always return to the path. People who unrepentantly sin do not inherit the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 19:17-20, John 5:29, Galatians 5:19-21, Ephesians 5:3-5) and knowing what is right and not doing it is sin (James 4:17). If you deny any of this then you deny the bible.
We believe in the true God and Jesus Christ of the Bible. Jesus Christ who is Lord (Romans 10:9, 1 Corinthians 8:6, Philippians 2:11) and the Son of God (Matthew 3:17, Matthew 17:5, John 10:36), who is our mediator with God (1 Timothy 2:5), who said that God the father is greater (John 14:28) and that God was his God (John 20:17), who wanted us to be one with Him and God as they are with each other (John 17:21-23). To us there is one God, the Father and one Lord, Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 8:6). Jesus Christ does the Father's will and His (Jesus Christ) will is subjected to the Father making him both the Son and the Father. The Father because He acts and speaks on His behalf and the son because he is the literal flesh or son of God. This is also expressed in John 17:21-23 where Jesus says he wants us to be one with Him and the Father as they are with each other. (Unless you want to say that we are going to become part of the Trinity.)
We don't believe in the pagan and unbiblical version of God and Jesus Christ made popular by the christian creeds, this 1 entity in 3 personages or this 3 entity in 1 personage thing. How can something be 3 being ins but one God but those 3 beings also separate and distinct but also the same yet not also? God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33) and that is confusing. There is no verse in the bible to back up that pagan belief and to explain it you have to use sources that came centuries later.
Join God and Jesus Christ in his Kingdom and join their true church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and learn all that they have to offer. Learn of their glory and mercy, learn of the plan they have of you. Don't learn it from someone who doesn't understand what we believe and lies about what happened on his mission.

You are misquoting both 2 Nephi 25:23 and Ephesians 2:8-9. However I literally said we believe that we are saved by grace and our works don't save us but ok.
2 Nephi 25:23. When Joseph Smith and his scribe were writing this out they were writing things in English as they understood it in the 1830s, meaning this is meant to be understood as "despite all we can do" or after all you can do it is Jesus Christ that saves you. In the time period which we believe Nephi wrote this, the Law of Moses was still in effect and Nephi said this saying that after the Law of Moses it is Christ that is saving them (and us too).
Ephesians 2:8-9. According to the Key words bible, the works in Ephesians 2:8-9 was meaning the law of Moses. Meaning that this should be read as "Not of the law of Moses, lest any man should boast". Key words Bible 2041. More specifically "Works of the law, meaning works required or comfortable to the Mosaic moral law and required by this law". Meaning the sacrifice or prerequisite required by the moral law to gain access to forgiveness is what is being talked about in Ephesians 2:8-9. From Leviticus chapters 4-7, when you broke the Mosaic moral law you had to work or do a prerequisite by sacrificing animals to gain God’s forgiveness.
Paul rejects the idea of God’s grace having any prerequisite in Ephesians 2:8-9, saying God's grace or forgiveness has no requirements or no sacrifice you have to do to get. Then in Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Or in a simple way, Jesus Christ saved us freely through his death and now we have to walk in the good works that God created for us so their grace may affect our lives more abundantly. Works don't save us but it does affect how much grace we are receiving. Not that God isn't offering the same amount of grace just that we aren't accepting it.
The gospel is more than just 1 or 2 cherrypicked verses. To live with God again that the Bible (and Book of Mormon) has said to do is to 1st have faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:36, John 6:29), 2nd keep the commandments (Matthew 19:17, Luke 11:28, John 14:15, John 14:21, Hebrews 5:9, 1 John 5:3, Revelation 12:17) and not to purposefully sin and/or repent when you have made a sinned (Acts 3:19, Acts 17:30, 1 John 1:9), 3rd make and keep the ordinances that God has asked of us like baptism (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16, Romans 6:3-10, Titus 3:5), 4th to serve others and love (Matthew 20:28, John 13:34-35, Galatians 5:13-14, 1 Peter 4:10-11) and 5th faithfully endure to the end (Matthew 10:22, Matthew 24:13, 2 Timothy 2:12, Revelation 2:26). It’s interesting that you bring up some scriptural passages about salvation and about belief, because those are about YHWH God and the Biblical Jesus Christ rather than believing in a different God or a different Christ. So it means sense that you then start explaining your beliefs about who God is. That is the key, you make a good point.
Now, YHWH God specifically has existed from eternity past (Psalms 90:2, Deuteronomy 4:39, etc), and never was a man. We also read in Isaiah 43:10 “No God was formed before me, nor will any come into existence after Me,” says YHWH. This means that YHWH God does not have any father god. Would you say that the LDS church affirms these doctrines about YHWH God, that He never used to be a man, that He always has existed, that He never came into being or was created, and that there were no gods or fathers prior to Him?
Also, the doctrine of the Trinity is only as confusing as trying to fit an infinite Deity into our finite minds. It is hard for us to even know ourselves completely. I wouldn’t call it confusion, though, but faith. A person made in the image of God is 3 in 1, for you are equally a body, a soul, and spirit - yet you are one person only. Similarly, we read in the Bible that the Holy Spirit is YHWH, that Jesus is YHWH, and that the Father is YHWH. We read that He is One. We read that YHWH created alone, and read that the Father created by means of the Son creating.
So we take this on faith. We don’t need to try to build a mental model that explains either how one person can simultaneously be 1 body and 1 spirit and only be 1 person altogether, nor how YHWH can simultaneously be 1 Father and 1 Son, but we just trust that it is the case because the Bible explains it so many times and teaches that Jesus Christ is eternal and has always existed - He never has not existed, like the Father.

We also read in Isaiah 43:10 “No God was formed before me, nor will any come into existence after Me,” says YHWH. This means that YHWH God does not have any father god.”_
Most old testament scholars (both Jewish and Christian) agree that Isaiah 43:10 and all the other Isaiah verses are asserting the supremacy, authority, and superiority of Yahweh and a warning to not worship another God, not meaning there are literally no other Gods. When this verse and all the other ones are read in context then it is clear that Isaiah's reference to forming god is speaking of graven images of metal and/or wood. Isaiah 44:8-18 makes it abundantly clear it is talking about idolatry. When Yahweh said there aren't any "gods" before or after Him, He is referring to the Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, Benevolent Ruler to whom man should direct their worship towards.
The old testament is filled with references of other Gods and us even becoming Gods. My favorite being Psalms 82:1 “God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment” and Psalms 82:6 “I say, “You are gods, children of the Most High, all of you”. Most scholars believe that before the Babylonians invaded that the Israelites were more henotheistic and that they believed Elohim or El or Elyon (meaning God most high) and Yahweh or Jehovah being two separate beings and a father (Elohim) and son (Yahweh). Do you want to take a guess on how that worship was done? Exactly like the New Testament describes the worship of the Father through the Son. God is the same yesterday, today and forever and today Jesus Christ is our mediator with God (1 Timothy 2:5), do you think that wasn’t the case back in Old Testament times either? If you think yes then the God you believe in is a changing God, a God that is not of the bible.
_“Would you say that the LDS church affirms these doctrines about YHWH God, that He never used to be a man,”_ God is not a spirit. Before you try to misquote John 4:24, you are misquoting that in 2 ways. First, In Greek there is no equivalent for the English word “a” so the translation can be interesting. Meaning that “God is spirit” and “God is a spirit” are technically both correct translations. However, If we compare to other scriptures of similar structure then we clearly see that it wasn’t not meant to be a literal description of God being but is describing one attribute of God. For example, in 1 John 4:8 it says that “God is love.” In 1 John 1:5 it says “God is light.” Deuteronomy 4:24 and Hebrews 12:29 says that God is a consuming fire. Is God literally love? Is He literally light? Is he literally a consuming fire? No, Those are attributes of God not descriptions. Second, the context of this verse is talking about the worship of God and again, not a literal description. God is spirit in that He is holy and pure and they that worship him must worship him in holiness and purity.
Interestingly, This debate over whether God is a material being, or an incorporeal, immaterial being was a highly debated subject in the early centuries of the Church. In fact, for a time John 4:24 was used as evidence that God did have some kind of material body because the Greek word that is translated as “spirit” (Pneuma) can also mean “air” or “wind”, which is a material substance. Origen, who is known as the most important theologian of the early Greek church and who believed that God was incorporeal and immaterial, defends his views by arguing that John 4:24 isn’t meant to be interpreted literally.
Now, if God was once a mortal being it is in no way inconsistent with the fact that he now has all power and all knowledge and possesses every virtue, grace, and godly attribute that the Bible, Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants have said God has. Irenaeus, a highly respected and influential early church father, stated "How, then, shall he be a God, who has not as yet been made a man? Or how can he be perfect who was but lately created? How, again, can he be immortal, who in his mortal nature did not obey his Maker? For it must be that thou, at the outset, shouldest hold the rank of a man, and then afterwards partake of the glory of God. For thou dost not make God, but God thee" (Irenaeus Against Heresies 4:523, Ante-Nicene Fathers 1:523-524) Here Irenaeus, an early church father, argues that how can we become a god, if we were not once a man. Using this same line of argument, how could God become a God, if He was not a man once? John 5:19 says The Son can’t do anything that He hasn’t seen the Father do. Would that mean that God lived as a spirit in a pre-mortal life, was born and received a body, died, and was resurrected and Jesus imitated what the father did?
Throughout the scriptures God is called Eternal or Endless, including in the Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants. God is Endless and Eternal because his power, kingdom and dominion are Eternal and Endless. God has no limits to His power. He is from everlasting to everlasting because His power continues, having no end.
_”that He always has existed, that He never came into being or was created,”_ Yes. Doctrine and Covenants 93:29 “Intelligence, or the light of truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be.” This also includes us as well.
_“and that there were no gods or fathers prior to Him?”_ As in there aren't any Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, Benevolent “gods” or rulers to whom man should direct their worship towards then yes.
_“Also, the doctrine of the Trinity is only as confusing as trying to fit an infinite Deity into our finite minds. It is hard for us to even know ourselves completely. I wouldn’t call it confusion, though, but faith. A person made in the image of God is 3 in 1, for you are equally a body, a soul, and spirit - yet you are one person only.”_ No, our bodies without our spirits would be dead. Our spirits inhabit our bodies which gives them life, once those 2 combine then do we become a living soul. My body doesn’t have a mind or will of its own nor can it go out and be separate from my spirit without it dying. This in no way helps your pagan and unbiblical belief of the trinity. There is no verse in the bible to back up your pagan belief and to explain it you have to use sources that came centuries later.
_“Similarly, we read in the Bible that the Holy Spirit is YHWH, that Jesus is YHWH, and that the Father is YHWH.”_ Nowhere does it say that the Holy Ghost or the Father are Yahweh. Jesus Christ is Yahweh or Jehovah and the Holy One of Israel. Yahweh or Jehovah in the Old Testament refers to Himself or is referred to as I AM (Exodus 3:14-15; Isaiah 48:12), The Shepherd (Psalm 23:1), The Light (Psalm 27:1), The Rock (Psalm 18:2), Ruler of all (Isaiah 9:6), Judge of all nations (Joel 3:12), The Bridegroom (Isaiah 62:5; Hosea 2:16), God’s Word never passes away (Isaiah 40:8), The Sower (Jeremiah 31:27; Ezra 34:9), First and the Last (Isaiah 48:12).
Jesus refers to Himself as I AM (John 8:58), The Shepherd (John 10:11), The Light (John 8:12), The Rock (Matthew 7:24), Ruler of all (Matthew 28:18), Judge of all (John 5:22), The Bridegroom (Matthew 25:1), Jesus’ words never pass away (Mark 13:31), The Sower (Matthew 13:3-9), First and the Last (Revelation 1:17-18).
_“We read that He is One.”_ Jesus Christ does the Father's will and His (Jesus Christ) will is subjected to the Father making him both the Son and the Father or one. The Father because He acts and speaks on His behalf and the son because he is the literal flesh or Son of God. This is also expressed in John 17:21-23 where Jesus says he wants us to be one with Him and the Father as they are with each other. Unless you want to say that we are going to become part of the Trinity.

God/Jesus does no love everyone, he only loves the few who are his chosen ones, his elect. These few make up about 1% or less of the worlds population. You are confusing the fake christianity of the apostate church with the Christianity of the Bible.

@@forthosewitheyestosee8183 There is a deep love in the heart of God for everyone, even for those who may never be saved.

@@Elizabeth-rk3do ,...Sorry, but you are 100% incorrect and in truth are no less blind, lost, and deceived than are the Godless mormons.
God absolutely does not love everyone, again, he only loves the FEW who are his chosen ones, his elect. And these few make up no more than 1% of the worlds population.
God desires only his chosen ones to be saved. You have zero Biblical knowledge. You like the mormons only know the 100% fake gospel and fake christianty of the 100% apostate church. You are all 100% indoctrinated into false manmade religions.
If you think I am wrong, all you need to look at is the examples God has given us. In Noah's day of all the people of the world how many were saved? Eight people! How about in the days of sodom and gomorrah? Three people! This is far less than 1% of the population.
Jesus told us that when he returns the destruction of the world will be just as it was in Noah's day, and it will. 99.9999% of the people who think they are Christians will find out that they were not, and they will all be cast into the lake of fire. Repent!

STOP SAYING THAT YOU ARE CHRISTIANS because you are sbsolutely not! The Church of Jesus Christ is the one snd only true Bublical Christian church that was restored EXACTLY the way Christvset it up as recorded in the NT just as Peter prophesied in Acts 3:19 when he stated thst the heavens would receive Christ UNTIL the "times of the restitution of ALL things."!!!

Yes. Jesus Christ will stay in heaven until the restitution of the kingdom of Israel. Acts 1:6 There will be no restoration of the kingdom of Israel until then.
Matthew 16 The gates of hell will not prevail against the church.
