I bought an used single speed and I love the simplicity of the ride on it. Just ride, feel the wind 🍃 in my face. It's a kind of psychological therapy for me....
I know this video is 3 years old but I'm glad I came across it! I absolutely love my SS and did a few 100km centuries and an imperial century this Summer on it. I keep going back and forth thinking I need to convert it to geared to take on bigger adventures (more elevation as usually I run pretty flat routes) but videos like this inspire me to just pick a gear and power it out! Cheers :)
I haven't ridden a geared bike in 6 months. This was nice to find. There aren't that many of us enjoying epic rides without gears. I have a a single speed gravel bike, and a single speed climbing bike. Love from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the States.
I saw the title and thought you were going to ride at 120 kilometers per hour :) I regularly ride my single speed 100 km out to the cabin, when it looks like rain. Average times are about 1/3 longer than on my road bike. The advantage is bad weather invulnerability.
Thanks bro, legs were a tad tender but not half as bad as I thought I'd be.... I'll say it again.... Why do I have gears...? See you soon bru and thanks again 🤙
Just checked out the rook one didn’t see anything special, looked a bit on the cheap end to be honest, can’t believe they’re selling people fixie flip flop hubs for over $5000 considering there are hundreds of brands out there that come stock that look better than that bike and you can upgrade to top of the line anything for way less there isn’t many parts to upgrade on a fixie considering you only have 3 gears front chain ring and the fixed gear and the free wheel gear. Smh
Cheers for the comment mate , Definitely not a high end bike, still a ripper though! She's not $5000, she's R5000 (South African Rand), that's like $250! Super cheap to run and still going strong! Will most likely toss the flip flip wheel and up grade the wheelser to something nice, apart from that, running 46x18 now! Perfect little Mash!
I just love single speed ..low maintenance..and very fun...getting back those memories from the.old days...simple and fast ..
Nice vid
Cheers buddy, much appreciated and am glad I took you back to what I'm sure was some awesome memories!!! 💥
