Hi, Utility measure closer to the solution, whereas regret measure is far away from the solution. since vikor is a compromise ranking methodology, it used both nearer to solution and far away from the solution.

Hi, What you are saying in (1) is correct. In our problem, we have to choose best solution and worst solution so that we are not compromising by removing the worst alternatives. And V is changing dimension from 0 to 1, if you choose 0 means min and 1 is maximum.
