I was about 10mtrs from the target, and I haven't shot in a while. That's my excuse for not getting them all on target.
Great information and all this but you never show whether you have full penetration through the pumpkin or your other videos of you shouldn't would you don't tell the thickness of the wood to penetration you don't give any kind of information as far as what the actual penetration of different materials this information would be very helpful I hope you can reply to this thank you
@@secureladderproducts9749 Did you watch the video all the way through? I held up the pumpkin to show how they went in. The wood was about 8mm thick, but was only quite soft. I'll be testing the new upgrades on different targets soon and I'll be sure to look at the targets in more detail.
Sorry man I didn't mean to bust your balls it's just you were like the fourth youtube I watched and no one could hit their target. It was just a little discouraging.
It’s a poor carpenter that blames his hammer.
It isn't about accuracy is it.. not this one.
I've just bought one and yours is the first decent vid demoing it so I subbed,
First time I've seen your beautiful dog! You can tell that your pup prefers you very much!
Make sure grandma doesn't make a pie from that pumpkin, she might break her dentures
I bought the Smith and Wesson M&P9 version. I'm planning to buy this one for home defense. Today supposed to be my day shooting the S&W but my store is totally out of CO2. I have to order mine. I can't wait. Anyways, watching your video is satisfying. Thank you brother stay blessed!!
If I may ask with the right ammo can you use Smith and Weston m&p9 for home defense to????
@@GVDRAGONFISTS yes, nylon/steel ball or 10.85mm steel ball. I also use 11mm. But it a bit tight fit to the barrel bore. Potential bone breaker or a black eye.
@@GVDRAGONFISTS the rubber balls that comes with it depend where you buy from. I got mine from eBay. Those little black rubber balls hurt. But the steel ball I haven't tried the pain level but rubber ball stop me in my track. I can't imagine my friend mag dumping me with the steel ball lol.
Great toy for k8ds
Using an air gun for home defense? Are you always that thick or just when it comes to guns....
I'd like to invite you to the range if you ever got a chance to come state side. I know that in most of the EU and England you guys can't own the real thing but I think you would have fun. I live in southeast Texas and have had my carry license for about 6 years. I normally carry a 9mm of which I have a Ruger LC9s and a CZ P07. When it's a bit much for me to lug around (I'm almost 69) I switch to my Taurus TX-22. Anyway, the invitation stands. Have a good one and good shooting.
Fun video. Hold your right arm straight and bend your left. Keep your head straight and forward, like an attack dog. Your form is going to make your targeting inconsistent. Personally, as there's no recoil to speak of, I'd cup the grip with the left hand.
Love your videos and appreciate the tutorials. Excited to see what mods you put on your weapon and the chrono results
Parts should be arriving this week and still waiting for new chrono as its on back order. But video will be coming soon I hope.
Great and enthuastic reviews, thank you!
Next week: Use of bananas in home defence
I find Apples hit harder than Bananas.
I suppose you need an AR15 to protect your property. In England we don't
YES HE IS A GOOD DOG THANK YOU FOR THE KNOWLEDGE.
Nice. In Texas though, I'll keep my 38.
Stop showing off 👍
That’s all lol, you’re in Texas bud go get a AR 😂

Just getting back into co2 pistols after a 10 year break, so much new stuff! Please correct me if I am wrong, but it used to be a 6 joule limit on pistols? I did about 20 videos on Y T reviewing co2 pistols with power and accuracy tests, and none of them got over 4.75 joules when tested. These pistols look fun, I see they are marketed as “ home defence” guns in some countries? One thing I learned from modding air guns is that as the power goes up,nether accuracy goes way down. I don’t think your accuracy was at fault at all, I think the gun is designed for 15 feet range max. I liked and subscribed, looking forward to getting back to my old hobby.
6ft/lb for pistols which is 8.14joules. We can have up to 20joules in France, pistol or rifle.
In the uk I believe it’s 7.5 joules. But a little mod and it can be 20+ easily. Who’d know. Not that I’d do though because it’s illegal 😉
@@jacobrackham432 In theory in the UK you can have markers up to 11 Joules
All I can think of is how cool and funny it would have been if this “gun” was somehow in the Shawn of the dead movie
You mean Shaun Of The Dead...

Is the only difference between the 7.5 and 11 J version this valve, ie can I upgrade them both to the same level, when I remove that plastic valve?
No, only the 11 joule version can you remove the valve he's talking about.
Wheres Simon Pegg , thought he never went on film without you 🤔😉😊🤣👍
Good bit of fun but not serious take it for what it is well done
I can have the .50 at my houses in Italy and the USA. But here in Mexico I cannot. The limit is .25 caliber. Of which, I have plenty.
in Mexico? lol mannn no one cares what you carry there
That pistol is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard
Lol, picturing a chocolate fire guard melting away ... I see some merit in this pistol. Very situational. May be better as a trainer
chocolate teapot, tits on a fish, the list could go on. It might not be the best, but if you're in a country where gun ownership is not easy, then you have to make do.
Crazy how Americans can't defend themselves without guns, Don't you think? It's as though they are scared or something. I get that American women want to carry one but with the dudes it's just weak.
@@davidatkins3498 it is weak- but there are more guns here then people - I was tied up and shot in the back with a real gun when in my early 20’s. It immediately flipped my world upside down.
I grew up when we didn’t have to worry about guns- but now we have to
@@davidatkins3498 A gun is faster than a knife..we see many knife attack in UK. We have a right to carry. You don't. I'D rather look silly caring than not to carry.....

Check out my latest video, where I have a little rant about comments like this. I know you are only pointing out the UK legal issues, but I'm in France so they don't apply.
If you realy practice your throw, that there gun could make a great home defence weapon.
the other benefit to using a revolver! when you're out of ammo you have a club to beat someone to death with!
Make a video of you taken 6 rounds from one... Since its nothing to worry about..
@@theunknownandunsolved6963 They might hurt like the sting of a wasp i guess, but you fail to consider other factors like if the intruder is armed, how much he weights, how much resistance he can hold against you and if it's more or less reluctant to violence than the average person. Imagine hitting with one of these to a 180 pounds ex-convict who's under the effects of meth, alcohol or the mere rush of adrenaline. Honestly i wouldn't risk my life over a bet.
Ha ha very true
@@dr.blasphemy0715 don't you think it's funny how Americans always talking about their home defense like they couldn't defend their home without a gun. Its almost as if they're scared and couldn't have a fight to save their life. In England, we don't need guns to defend ourselves.
Beautiful dogs. 👍👍
The pumkin says its sorry for invading your home. :)
You’ve got to keep an eye on them, saw one being a bit shifty in the garden not so long ago.
The good boy stole the show xd
Yeah mine was insanely loud got almost a 5 shots then it was done next one loud as hell got 3shots in and done,it scary how loud it is but not sure it's worth it concidering the co2 waste also what the hell are jewls?why is your still so quiet? Can I order anew valve cap thing?
Sorry Joules is the metric equivalent to ftlb's. Mine is pretty loud, think the camera audio compensates when I shot, leveling the noise out. I'll try it on manual next time.
It would be interesting to see how it would perform with lead balls.
heavy lead balls? It would behave badly. Don't thank me, bro.
@@oczhaal it would increase the energy since ft pounds are calculated using mass and velocity
@@srspower and how will you give enough velocity to a heavier ball without increasing the pressure? Moreover it is more interesting to increase the velocity than the weight of the projectile, since velocity accounts for the square of its value in the joules calculation.
@@oczhaal It doesn't make any difference with raw power in fact in some ways a heavier projectile is better because it will retain more of it's energy down range than a light and fast projectile would. All 'black powder' musket used the heavier projectile method for more power because they were limited in the pressure they could get from the powder. In this example? Yeah a lead ball would likely drop out of the end of the barrel but it would STILL have a lot more energy. This is basically a childs toy.
@@srspower the formula for kinetic energy is mv²/2. So the best parameter to improve in order to get more kinetic energy (joules, what damages the body the projectile gets in contact with), is the velocity, since adding some velocity has a lot more effects on the energy than increasing the mass. For a given amount of velocity (given by the air pressure, a parameter which you cannot change in this weapon), the best thing to add some kinetic energy is to probably reduce the weight of the projectile while keeping its density high enough so it doesn't fragment when touching the target, but instead, penetrates it. Personnally i would try with glass, not lead :)
yeah dogs are the best!!!! nice vid
Can this be done to a stock HDR without needing to buy the power upgrade valve for it?
Now that, is a great question
You know this guy is just showing off a alternative way to defend your house hold I know it’s not a real gun but some people are not able to get a real gun we’re they live and it’s a shame I know a lot of Americans are like it’s not a real gun it won’t do anything but you have to be in there shoes where they don’t get to have a real gun I see it as it better than trying to fight a intruder with your hands or being up close it’s a good way to stay back and deal a little damage if you hit your shots and picking the right ammo
Also getting hit with hard rubber coated steel balls or pepper balls wouldnt feel too good
I often wondered if a person were to take buckshot, and used the ballmaker mold to make their own rounds, would that make it more us eful for home defense?
Buckshot would tear a person up, I would think.
lucky lad you ve got really cute dogs. greetings from Greece

Same as the MK1 but you knock a couple of 10inch nails through the end.
Hi, do you recommend change of valve with the kit, plus revoming the semi-cylinder from the camera ? (at the same time)
With the upgrades from Homedefence24, I removed the valve block from the cylinder and changed the valve pin that comes in the powerkit50.
Did it make a big difference when you remove the gas block before you added the extra parts? I have the 11 jewel version.
which model can you get the most power out of?
Even the smaller on is considered a firearm in Canada.
Hola amigo , cuánto puede durar el CO2 en el revolver ?
I'd like to see a bunch of coconuts, inside a bag of some sort. Curious if any would break. Too difficult to hit one, but 7 or 8 together could be hit.

Good. I'd definetly be ready, when those filthy pumpkin people come around, shagging my carrots. I'll need two. They run in patches. Lol
You’d probably hit it if you throw a stone at it 😂😂😂
Hey bro I got a question for anyone who can answer it, is CRC heavy duty silicone spray okay to use on the projectiles to make them leave the mag easier, kinda like polishing them, and what is the best way to initially lube the guns O-rings and does the gun need to be disassembled to properly lube the O-rings? Thanks man I appreciate your vids!
Great video. Actually hitting the bloody pumpkin would’ve been more entertaining. Lol. I did however enjoy it nonetheless. Brilliant.
I did hit it a couple of times 😀.
Great video, nice dogs.

Best regards from Berlin !
I know this video is older now and im unsure if youll respond BUT ive been wanting to get an HDR 50 for a while and It seems i dont have any local stores that sell them so my only option is Amazon, but it does not say how many juels of power it has. What should i look out for or how can i know the difference
The 7.5 joule version has an F stamped inside a pentagon somewhere on the gun. If it's an 11 joule version, you could look inside the handle where the co2 goes, it should have a disc with a very small hole, the 7.5 joule doesn't have that disc.
Thank you very much

Hey great videos! I have question for ya. I have an 11j on the way as we speak. If I do this, can I still shoot pepper balls? Maybe that's a dumb question. But I'm just getting into this. Thanks! Keep it up.
Not sure, I have never tried. Don't know if the pepper balls would hold up to the extra power.
Okay thanks! I've looked around and haven't found an answer. I just don't want to wing it. And have a pepper ball blow up in my face. Thanks for the content!

Hello from Sweden 🇸🇪 I have one 7.5 joule
I’m worried about the accuracy of it, how often is it off because it doesn’t shot well? Please answer, I really do want to know!
Shooting round balls out of a short unrifled barrel is never going to be accurate. But it’s close enough, some shots go where you wouldn’t expect but on the whole it’s not too bad.

I've watched alot of videos about the HDR and it seems Mad Dog makes a lot of good stuff but I see the same comments. "that's not a weapon" or "if you practise your throw, that might be a good weapon". It seems people really don't understand that the whole world isn't America. I'm also a brit living in Europe in one of the countries with the most relaxed gun laws in Europe and still you need a mental examination, no criminal record and a valid reason for owning a gun. There are many rules and jn 2014 out of 76 homicides, 16 were by firearm which was an all time high.
In most countries in Europe it is
A. Very unlikely to be involved in a violent situation
B. Even more unlikely that a firearm will be involved from the criminals side
The reason I am even interested in this gun is I would like something to protect against an attacker with a knife so I can keep distance and we also have wild pigs outside our house. These loaded with pepper rounds can help.
The risk of having a real gun in my house is much higher than the threat of a home invasion.
And one last point, if you own a gun in Slovakia, which as I mentioned is one of the most relaxed in Europe. The firearm and ammunition must be stored seperately in seperate lockers. By the time you open two safes and load a gun, I fear the worst would already be over.
Just my 2 cents worth....
At last, someone with some real world sense. Here in rural France, gun crime is almost non existent, and the same, firearms and ammunition to be kept separately. Having an HDR ready to go, is likely to do the job. But apparently (according to comments) I, personally have given up my freedom, because we don’t or are unable (lots of hoops to jump through to own) to have guns.
I was looking for a comment like this, thank you! Here in Lithuania its pretty much the same, theres almost none gun included attacks or break in’s, its mostly drunk people or just agresive beings who you wanna close the distance with and this could disturb them while even maybe backing up and running away, i see myself using this when going to camp somewhere, or just at home if anything happens where i need to use it but not that the whole city should hear
Really pleased to see you both here in the comments! Definitely like the opinions we have. I'm very thankful to live in Europe!

Most of the "Old Biddies" that fought for my freedom are long dead, and for them I have the utmost respect. I have attended many Nov 11th services and parades to remember them. If you think calling old people "Old Biddies" is disrespectful, well that's your opinion. Where I am from, it's not.
