When Melo played for the Knicks I religiously watched every game of every season. Many times he scored at the last few seconds of the shot clock because teammates couldn't find a way to score and or coach Woodson didn't run any plays for Amare and Felton to pick and roll. Put extra respect on Melo's name!!!! The dude kept it cool throughout NYK bs when all other all stars was scared of the big lights and how big this city is.

Even in these highlights u can see the scores, he was literally hittin tuff shot after shot jus to bring them back from gettin demolished almost every game, just about every shot was clutch way b4 the final mins of 4th quarters, no foul calls, no help most nights and still did this to the league his whole time in ny, the only player to manage to make playoff runs with thr Knicks in the last 30 years

One of the reasons I love basketball is because even if you play perfect defense, you can still be scored on. This man is the perfect example of this. So many hard, contested points, so fun too watch

West- spurs, Lakers, mavs, cp3 hornets, dwill jazz
East- big 3 cs, Miami and Indiana out east.
Over half of those teams won a championship that season.
Biggest point about melo, he never threw people under the bus. He handled criticism of the worst kind like a pro, got ridiculed for trying to build something and continued to play the game at a high level.
Looking forward to seeing him back in the nba, his story isn't over. Thanks again Melo & HOH!

Melo's prime is unguardable. as you see even LeBron and DWade can't do anything on guarding melo and a lot of tough shots against LeBron and LeBron is always behind one step while Carmelo was taking a shot he is so fast. the quickness and footwork of Melo is perfect. he can post he can drive from left to right he can shoot of the dribble he can do anything when in terms of scoring. one of the best scorers in the nba and he is a Hall of Famer.

@@qdakid6447 He was actually a legitimate all star at one point in time averaging around 27/8/5 with 40% shooting from 3 which are basically Stephen Curry numbers, but it looks like father time has worn him down. He's definitely well past his prime now. People can argue that James Harden or Russell Westbrook are not allstars because he hogs the ball so much and has even worse efficiency than a prime Carmelo , and is known to stand around on defense, but these ball dominant offensively focused players are still allstars since they force the defense to put so much effort into trying to stop them, and they also take lots of 3s which reduce their shooting percentages if not at least keep the defenses honest.

As for lebron, his 2014 quote was to the question "toughest player to guard man to man". That's all Carmelo knows what to do, play one on one instead of play team ball which are very different. No wonder he can't get signed. This is completely ignoring the fact that Carmelo has a long relationship with both of them. Lebron is infamous for having total control over his teams, why did Carmelo not go to the Lakers this or last year?

As a Knicks fan, I truly appreciated that there was a superstar who actually had the guts to want to be a Knick. Most of these superstars want to play in the guard but are to scared to put up with all that it takes being a Knick. For the people saying he's trash now and doesn't deserve to be in the NBA let me remind you of this. In his 10 games with the Rockets, he had three games over 20 points. He scoring avg off the bench (13.4) would have made him the 2nd leading scorer on the Knicks last year. As a Knicks fan who every year sees guys like Frank Ntilikina disgrace the uniform, don't tell me there's 30 teams with 15 people better than Carmelo Anthony on their roster. It's just not true.
