This CEO might be out of touch with actual work these days. He is probably having many chats during the day, not pounding a keyboard for 10 hours solid.

Is he really comparing being a banker to being a doctor?! Wow talk about over-inflating your occupation

Sorry but it’s highly comparable in terms of career trajectory…

Out of Touch Leadership! Isn't Cantor Fitzgerald the clueless firm who ignored fire alarms and bodies dropping out of a great big building? Then somehow this clueless leadership and their lost minion estates were entitled to insurance and government compensation. Grow up and lead for heaven's sake! The health and well being of all your employees are a bigger priority than incremental profit margins and sales. Jeeeesh!

The man has a point. No one is forcing any of these greedy people to be bankers. If you are that greedy, man up or day-trade crypto or something else.

Howard is calling a spade a spade. During deal season, work gets intense and there is pressue. Just the way of the business. Everyone loves a great print in Capital Markets/Equity Underwriting during a press release of earnings. Have no idea what goes on behind the scenes just to get it all through and revenue booked. Flexibility will help young Analysts - but to say there needs an overhaul of Investment Banking as a career is absurd. People go there to learn a lot fast, and take it with them as they move on. Highly valuable skills developed in that ring and no place else.

@@iliavko go take a look at Private Equity. It's filled with former IB people. Investment Banking provides great foundational finance background learned no place else.
