matt n Yeah, I know. It's obviously something that some writer thought up for that show or the BBC already had up their sleeve and were waiting to put on a new show to give it a boost. I find the guy horrendously smug and not especially funny. But life would be shittier if we all liked the same stuff so good for you if you enjoy the whole show.
@JoAnna Edssay I think "Pointless" is pretty fun, if you like you could check it out! There might be some conversations behind the scenes about what is OK to share. Either way, Richard might not have had a chance to reply or they might have decided that other replies were more fun to read out, who knows... It's too bad, but there were plenty of other fun messages!
I love this game coz it also reveals how people have their contacts saved in their phone. Poor Charlotte from church is probably thinking that he doesn’t even know her last name 😂
I think that would depend on what school they attended. At Eton there’s probably three boys called Octavius in every class, but the one poor kid called Barry gets his head flushed down the loo regularly. Jacob Rees-Mogg named his most recent son Octavius. ‘nuff said. 🙄
I never understand the signing part. Do people sign their texts? It's pretty likely your contacts have your number in their phone as well and they will see who it's from (besides the way they sign on this show, which is part of the fun, is by nickname and alike so you would have to know the person)
Has anyone here ever been in the audience for one of these things? Do the celebs get their phones back and then immediately, frantically, send out a second message explaining that it was a McIntyre game all along? Considering that, which celeb do we think has waited the longest before sending that second corrective text?
Jessica Ravenhill u don't know if he does use hashtags or not none of us know we can't say we know what people would use or not if we don't know them just putting it out there.
Not gonna lie, I think xander's wife Hannah is as cute as a button, but I've had a look at some more recent photos and with her hair grown out again she looks a little bit like Hilary swank
how do they send the message to everyone individually? that's what's suspicious to me... if you sent an imessage to your entire contacts list, they would all get a group message and see everyone else's number/replies which they definitely wouldn't do especially for celebrities
I used to work on this show. The way it works is, Michael discusses what text the celeb is ok for him to send. Once they agree on the text, the celeb is asked to pick out 5 to 10 contacts, preferably celebrities, that they think would give a funny response. And the celeb can even contact the potential receiver of message before the show to prepare them, and help them to write a good response. So it's a funny premise, but ultimately completely planned and fake
I don't think you'd write about how they do the "Send to All". Are you too bitter to let people enjoy stuff? Why do fake "Send to All" when you can easily actually do it on the show? You can tell by how the celebrities react to the text being sent and to the responses that it is completely and utterly genuine. Michael did "Send to All" himself with his phone with James Corden and you can tell that it's real.
This is so not real at all. As if any celeb would let someone take over their phone and send a random message. It's all rehearsed beforehand. Admittedly it's funny, but it's not real at all. They are literally banking on viewers eating up this shit.
i dont think that its not real entirely. just more likely that people they text realise its for the show. also the guests probably get any really serious contacts omitted or they delete them beforehand. i dont think its entirely fake but i do think its planned and restricted. how would his assistant not know alexander was on the show and that this game was involved. so i think theres the element of playing along.
This is not funny. I'm surprised Alexander Armstrong has taken part. It's the sort of thing horrible schoolkids would do. No good explaining afterwards, you have made someone feel mortified. One way to lose friends.
"Charlotte from the Church" that part was just the best. In tears with laughter, fantastic!!! LOL!
Lmfao when he’s like “Zander with an X” and Michael put a X Down like a kiss- I died 😂😂😂😂
This 'send to all' sketch is such a clever idea! I can't wait to see more of these! So funny! 😂😂
He has already made around 6+ of these
Maddy Gowers theres series 1 to check out too
I just wish that they hadn't given this gimmick to a comedian that I find more than a little odious! It's a great gimmick.
Michael Jenkins it originated from his chat show. I like him though so its fine.
matt n Yeah, I know. It's obviously something that some writer thought up for that show or the BBC already had up their sleeve and were waiting to put on a new show to give it a boost.

I would watch a whole show just about this. It's hilarious.
I met Alexander Armstrong once!! He was really nice and funny
Brilliant! I am disappointed that we didn't get to hear a reply from Richard, though...
Maria Weman I was the same! I was just waiting for Richard's reply that never came 😂
@JoAnna Edssay That's right, they work together on the quiz-show "Pointless"! :0)
@JoAnna Edssay I think "Pointless" is pretty fun, if you like you could check it out! There might be some conversations behind the scenes about what is OK to share. I love Michael's misspelling of Xander! 😂
The amount of times I've had my name spelt wrong...
@@xandergrogan2012 It's the same with my surname! Constantly I have to go "No it's not 'B-o-l-t-o-n'. It's 'B-o-U-l-t-o-n'!
I love this game coz it also reveals how people have their contacts saved in their phone. Poor Charlotte from church is probably thinking that he doesn’t even know her last name 😂
Michael’s laugh is everything. 😂♥️
I was waiting for Richard Osman and Ben Miller to reply. Rob the plumber sounds like he's good friends with Bob the builder
oh i wish richard had replied, would have been brilliant
I’m crying of laughter rn - oh and it’s almost 4am. 😂
Ah, now we stumble upon upholstery jane... was laughing before he even read the text😂
play it with Benedict cumberbatch lol
Annie B hes to famous to be a guest on that show
lol more famous than a spice girl i don't think he is
@@pwners4u easily the same as a spice girl, he plays lead roles in alot of famous movies.
@@Matt19matt19 sadly this didn't age well
That would be awesome ! Him n tom hiddleston lol
love the reply im guessing you meant to send that to my wife.
Charlotte "church"brilliant, funny when michael got it wrong
Laughed so hard,love it!🤣😂
surely his assistant would know what show hes going on and what it involves. i think a lot of people just reply knowing its for this show
@1:29 is like his sketch with the names all over again 😂
This is by far one of the funniest things Iv ever watched 😂😂
How to ensure your kid gets bullied at school: name them Octavius.
I think that would depend on what school they attended. At Eton there’s probably three boys called Octavius in every class, but the one poor kid called Barry gets his head flushed down the loo regularly.
Jacob Rees-Mogg named his most recent son Octavius. ‘nuff said. 🙄
@EastEndery Eh?
I mean I once knew a boy called Bonzo and he was probably the most popular boy in his class.
Who would winningly watch an hour of this?
GiantSandles all the people who won to! Lol
GiantSandles there's a very old one with James Corden that's pretty long. You should look it up. It was from before Corden moved into Late Night.
GiantSandles everyone who won to!
I’m assuming you meant “willingly” but since you put “winningly” I am going to call you a prat. Prat!
300 people - winningly isn't a word, but I completely agree with it.
So hilarious Ty for uploading xx by the way ... You have bad breath 😂😂😂😂😱
Xander is just adorable!
I just wanted Richard to show up
I never understand the signing part. Do people sign their texts? It's pretty likely your contacts have your number in their phone as well and they will see who it's from (besides the way they sign on this show, which is part of the fun, is by nickname and alike so you would have to know the person)
Most people don't sign their texts, I don't think. It's just the older generation who live in an imaginary world where people still write letters.
MrChiizzle alright mate it's not that deep
PJ we have the same name
Never
It's a British thing.
lol imagine they played and no one replied
lol
😂😂😂
I was waiting for someone to text back "No I don't, I'm a dentist. you pleb.
“You have really bad breath.” 😂
*Hahahaha I'm loving these!*
love it !!!!!! do it with Ozzie stars, so funny
OMG nearly peed my pants :-) hilarious
Beyond hilarious!!
Oh my gosh!!! Was that really Hugh Boneville???? 😦
If not then Xander didn't think to mention that along with the Charlotte from the church mix up 😂
There''s no way that Armstrong wouldn't use the subjunctive in a text.
Surely they text everyone in their phone before they go on the show to warn them
Why do I watch this😂😂😂😂
i wish they would display the replies on the big screen as well
Me too
Mr. Smith, I need you

I remember reading somewhere that they know ahead of time they're going to be on it so they can warn their friends and family.
These are great haha
PLAY WITH TOM HIDDLESTON
Im sorry this is a little (much) late, but i would like to say, that I would really like to know what kind of contacts tom has
Only here for alexander lol 😂
You are wicked like a child no fear 👍🏼😂🎉💯💋💞
1:07 you're welcome
Should do this with joey Essex
He's illiterate so it wouldn't work.
TBH I really hoped there would be a response from Richard
Oh my gosh
Awh god 😆😆😆😆
Quite amusing but we should all do it and see what comes back
I was hoping for Ben Miller to reply
crying 😂😂😂
As if Hugh Boneville uses hashtags in texts.
Jessica Ravenhill u don't know if he does use hashtags or not none of us know we can't say we know what people would use or not if we don't know them just putting it out there.
catherinerg1 it was a joke, I don't actually care but ok.

It's an app
catherinelikespink its an app for sending text to a lot of contacts. eg if you own a business and want to send the same text to a lot of people
His ears are unnaturaly large

If that were true, why would he get Charlotte Church wrong???
Heya peeps .. carrier Does anybody hear worse this variant? rojl..
Do I need a licence to watch this on UA-cam!!!! NO I don't... Stop sending me fkn letters BBC for your bullshit licence!
How can I get rid of Armstrong from my TV ????? desperate glasgow
The fallacious lion partly sparkle because floor historically refuse alongside a bitter bird. ahead, useful way
The envious hole indisputably shave because file histopathologically guess past a hilarious honey. murky, acoustic ferry

Kelly Watson i thought it was real. that ruined me.
Kelly Watson chill mate it's not that deep
Kelly Watson real or not (I personally think it is real), it's good fun. No need to be a dick about it.
You're looking in the wrong direction - other people are no concern of yours - reflect on your own thoughts - and stop trying to be "right"

Barbara Donald • I don’t think any of the recipients will have taken it seriously. I certainly wouldn’t. I would assume it’s a dare of some kind.
Nasty - not funny at all. Why is upsetting people amusing?
I absolutely agree.
Mike Williams • I don’t think any of the recipients will have taken it seriously. I certainly wouldn’t. I would assume it’s a dare of some kind.
Why does McIntyre ALWAYS HAVE TO SHOUT?!?!
After the fourth /fifth of this you can clearly see a pattern. This is fake for sure.
Doesn't matter tho, entertaining!
This is the worst one.
Michael McIntyre isn't funny . Paul xx
