- Taping Drywall Flats with 📸@drywallgangsters using the Tapepro Drywall Tools Mud Box. This great tool works as good as a drywall automatic taping bazooka in my opinion & the benefits over Banjo: Larger capacity, larger tape wheel, crease and cut tape, more reach.
Benefits over auto taper: Less parts, can fill by hand, easy to clean, no dry tape, can control mud flow.

There is something gratifying about watching a professional do something so effortlessly that us homeowners struggle with.
Man you guys are fast !! Great team work!! Not too much talking!!! When everyone knows thier job is goes very quick and smooth.
I just can't keep from watching this video over and over, you guys are awesome! Keep them coming
Usually after that 1st coat can you texture? Or will you do a second coat
Perfect teamwork guys
The most unsung of all the trades. Once the plumber, HVAC, electrician, low volt and insulators are done, along comes the drywall guys. The most visible of all the trades. Nice video.
Or if the management or builder sucks, the plasterer will be there BEFORE all of those otehr trades.
Then the painters come in a show how bad the mud work was done.
What sort of blade are you using for the first joints ?
May I ask if you're using a slightly curved trowel or a straight trowel. I absolutely suck at taping and mudding I'm trying to get better for now I am a volunteer with the Wounded Warriors Project here in the states and I often find myself all alone on a project. That includes hanging taping mudding and texturing. So any advice would be greatly appreciative
why they leave a gap at the wall meets the ceiling? for crown molding?
How does it compare to a bazooka? Would running a 7" flatbox be quicker for that recess fill ? Just wondering.
I want to ask you how come you don,t keep your drywall tight to the ceiling?
Do all of the houses that get hung end up having crown molding or something? Even if they did, you still have to fill those to corners because of fire code. Can you guys show how they are filled please? Just curious because every time the drywall is hung in these videos there is always a huge gap.
master how do they make Plaster's first hand stand straight after the taping or have the spatula modified I mean what the boy in the green shirt does
do you use the 45min mix or all purpose mix for the taping cycle? Thanks
What is the yellow mud? Don’t wait until the other mud has dried? What size knife is that? How does your team bid jobs, by piece? Did you also hang the drywall? How long to completion, how many coats?
#drywallgangsters I am new to taping and of all the videos I've watched my mind is blown 💨💥 after seeing the tapepro
whats with the huge gap between the wall and ceiling???? not good sheetrocking
Is it a plaster mix or polymer?
I have one question ...you guys use sheetrock to apply paper tape on flats and buttjoints for prefill or just normal mud
Great team
I noticed they dont tape the outside corners why is that. I have alway taped them inless useing the papered metal corners
Whats the name of the tool that place like a tape on the wall and roof? The one that the cat shirt guy use?
Beautiful job very good coordination for those guys I love it
nice work boys!
Is the grout used for the "Benjo" and for the "Box" a grout exclusively in paste, or can powder grouts also be applied?
I've been doing this for almost 6 years, is there a way to join them?
I really love their tools!!!!
what's with the gap between walls and ceiling?
why is there a big gap between the wall and the ceiling?
Great work boys.
Guys I have 20 years working on drywall and I have never seen a banzooka or or zookabanjo or stuff like that before you are the next generation of drywall or maybe something that I call The human Bazzoka jajaja 😜 congratulations guys hi from North Carolina 🇺🇸
8.01 deki bacak yükseltici apartın ismini bilen varmı? Does anyone know the name of the leg-raising apartment in 8.01?
you're doing really well
Bonjour, pourquoi vos plaques ne vont pas jusqu’au plafond ?
What is the deal with that top angle
These guys are on whole new level of plastering. WoW
Why the gap between the walls and ceiling?
So I just wondering the purposes of leaving about 1 inch gap from the wall corner and sealing?. Does it help in anyway or was there trim to cover that part
Crown moulding
Why ? I don't see any electrical outlet box on the drywall ?
Guys are good at skills and as a team
How do you like your taper? Have you tried the Zook? I have a Tapeworm bazooka
These are good can quick dry mud in here, I can't use a bazooka, how is it for you... Where are you based
@@Maxkil Eau Claire, WI... we use zook (mostly for angles) and sometimes lower joints.... i'm a one man show so i'll hop up on stilts and wipe behind banjo... it all works.
Thanks
Thanks very much
Efficiency at its highest. These guys dont play around
Hola desde argentina Patagonia ..muy bueno el vídeo.. ! Ojalá pudierananda esa encintadora va muy rápido
Good job brother
Hi guys nice work
Is it quick set material (40min) or premixed that you are using to tape
Hey mate yes it's quickset. That's the beauty of using a mudbox instead of a bazooka
Maxkil thnx
I’ll order it and try it then
Keep up the good work
Why do you use hot mud to set the tape and not regular compound ?
Because you don't want to wait for it to dry. Especially if you have multiple guys and only one house to do the taping needs to be dry for the next coat
Quiero comprar una maquina como esa. Como voy a consíguela. Px fa
Hate drywall, did after I got home from the service for a couple years, still hate but love watching you guys, good team work and different and better tools now, the 60s and 70s were a little different but same concept, make it look good! Nice job guys.
Thanks Mark, Drywall loves you, she will never leave you! Come back to me. hehe Yeah i think was heaps harder back then with less tools to make it easier. Would've been cool to see. Thanks keep in touch
Why is there a 2 inch gap between wall and cielings
Good clean hardworking team, gives me hope in young men. Thank you 🙏
Prefill?
whomever did the drywall hanging sucked. holy crap the gaps at the ceiling are crazy!
I like I have used bazooka, I like banjo easy for cleaning, how much thi
Them boys KILL it!!!
Hey Julian, yeah the drywall gangsters one of the best around in my opinion, proof is on there instagram @drywallgangsters
Why do they leave that open in the corner?
How do you keep the tape from dragging and falling off the wall
sometimes it just does that, i just allow for a bit of drag at the start
I don’t understand the big gap in the angle up by the lid? Is that a new thing? I was a drywall finisher right out of high school years ago. And I’ve never seen such a thing. Please explain.
Yeah mate in Australia the fire rating methods are different and normally has a cornice or crown moulding going up to finish the corners. Very fast and easy. Google Maxkil cornice
would like to know about the gaps in the corners? I like the that you can use hot mud or fast setting type compound in the tapero A bazooka is a pain to clean when you use hot mud. I would appreciate a reply about the gaps . Is for expansion?
i was thinking crown....but thats alot crown
Scotty's probably right ceiling was probably over 8 feet so they just put the Gap at the top
Ainda tendes muito que aprender... mas não está mau de todo confesso!
That guy is hansome i love him.
Nice work guys. How thick do you have your mud? All purpose or base?
Base coat the tape in and skim with base for first coat
Use mine on internals but couldn't get the hang of it on walls and ceilings. Putting the tape over the top might be what I've been missing. Thanks for your response
Hello, where can I buy this dough applicator, could you give me the link, please.
Just look up the tool a lot of different companies make them
How much are these tools, please. Details
How do I get the same Drywall Banjo Taper you use? Thanks 👍🏻
hey www.proplaster.com.au/catalogsearch/result/?q=mud+box
thanks for the info
What do you guys do on top corners. Look like a pretty big gap
yeah we use crown molding, or as we like to call it cornice...
@@Maxkil I was wondering the same. You don't tape behind crown? You will not get away with that in the US.
What's the rush
The guy on stilts has the hole filling swish technique down pat. Good crew.
hey mate what was you email address so I can send you this gift card for the last win... did you watch the video of the draw?
@@Maxkil Yeah mate I was excited, I paused the screen and worked out what colour my name was and rode it home. Thanks again Max. mmagillau@gmail.com
You are right Michael Magill , that is the best technique and time affective spotting that I have ever seen in 26 years , props to that man ! MAXKIL give him a raise if thats one of your employees! Look forward to more DrywallGangsters videos!
This banjo is very good.
Can you guys tell me where did you buy your bango nice work guys
Pro plaster sells them
Ferramentas top na mão de um profissional serviço top
you cover the tape before which dry? its not buckling?
nah thats the skim coat, still considered that first taping coat
@@Maxkil thank you for the answer and sorry for my english 👍👍😅😅
There is a quite wide gap right under a ceiling... How R U going to finish it?
Probably cover with crown moulding.
@@ClankyRochet huh, that makes sense. I'm working with drywall in Poland, Europe and something like this is really unusual. People over here rather prefer sharp 90° angles :D
Neat work lads. I was wondering have you ever run a fast setting compound through this mud box?
Also how often do you replace the cutting blade?
Yeah that's one of the reasons why they use the mud box so they can run base coat through it so it can be gone over that day
@@Maxkil nice one. Been using a compound tube for 10 plus years For my internal corners and thought I'd give the mud box pro a go.
How did you like it?
@@Maxkil it hasn't arrived yet mate. I only ordered it yesterday. It coming from Australia to the UK lol
may I know what kind of tape they used ?
Not too sure the brand of paper tape mate..
Wow I never saw anyone work prosthetic legs awesome
DeadlyVenomKing stilts my man that’s what they are called 👍🏽
Inside corners? We only saw you doing flats.
What’s up with the big gaps along the ceiling?
I've been finishing drywall for 30+ years and have always taped the top angle. They dont do that in any of the videos I have watched this is do weird lol.
@@brianjames3126 right . make things a lot faster with no top corners to tape..
Most likely crown molding
Probably crown at the top
If you ever see a gap up the top it would be cornice of some sort. Most common in Australia is Cove cornice. But if we do square set then we make sure the board is hung tight to each other.
Why not use a box?
Where can I get my hands in one of those tapering boxes at?
Hey Jose go to proplaster.com.au
Fast worker good job......
Impressive
Good video
Аззаматсынар жигиттер ушунда иштеш керек. 👍
How’s that house pass with that ceiling gap? That too much I can see the light through the roof
They're in Australia. It's standard practice there.
Hi guys 8m really struggling with my mud pro.second day using it not on it long but struggling with internals and 3 way corners.any tips thanks
just keep watching a few more videos, I myself are still trying to master it
Yes I did last night got a few more tips.mine has the controls at the back of the machine. Thanks max
I’m running the mud box myself and having trouble with long runs on ceilings. Flats and especially internals. Any tips?? I feel like something may be wrong with the box itself but not sure. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks fellas love the videos by the way!!!
Good work, how do cover / fill the wall to ceiling corner gaps?
Phil Sheldon probably getting crown moulding
In Connecticut those gaps would fail inspection
Yeah of course. You need to make it right for your regulations over there.
Correct.
I would love to have one of them tapers $$ how much
Fast work
Perfektná práca
thanks Peter
Good work. Even if you are putting crawl moldings on the ceiling. The drywall have to be tied to the ceiling.
You can not live a gap like that one. Like the one that you are taping on this video. Thanks
No it doesn't
Would of been nice to see how they do the inside corners .... plus how they tape does massive gaps in the ceiling corners .... almost like there hiding something from us
Some differences with our skills:
their mud looks thicker than tooth paste than our mud-maybe because We use extension handle for chasing up the taper,less powerful than direct mud knife work;
we have less mud bedding behind paper tape ,and fill the joints up after tape mud gets dry enough;however,we do the same the these boys when we use fibrefuse tape.
good to see these boys working keep me learning
I think thats to help avoid paper tracking, If you are gonna fill straight over paper tape it can't be too wet.
You can only use durabond if you use mesh tape
You don't have to fill in while you tape it just makes it easier to bed coat
why the gaps at the top of the wall? crown mold ?
yes crown or cornice is what we call it here in Australia
tight is right in a america@@Maxkil
bugs and shit
I like having jobs like these ... working with my buds and doing amazing work .. cheers
Thanks Alex
Never see that machine ...where u come from..
Why dont you guys use a automatic taper. Like ones from tapetech or Columbia?
For this work these mud boxes are quicker.
@11:18 awfi ruff. Why dose he not use his upside down trowel to fix it
Beautiful work need this done at my townhome in the United States #DRYWALLGANGSTERS
I will come for a working holiday
I have 15k sq ft job coming in NY. Pleasure to see you working
Why is there a gap on wall and ceiling?
