I love marlisa, I watched her from audition to grand finals!
i don't think people realise that her voice has such a unique tone. She's young and charming and she is consistent in giving a good performance throughout her x-factor experience. Thats why she won it. I'm a filipino living in australia and i followed her in australia so i would know. yes, there may be singers who are "better" than her in terms of a deeper and more soulful kind of singers but we hear so many singers who've got that deep soulful voice thats its almost hard to tell who's who. I could recognise marlisa's voice the moment she starts singing since her voice is so unique. this wasn't her best performance id admit but watch her other live performances, she's pretty damn good.
Even if I have to close my eyes, I can tell that voice is Marlisa's because of her unique sound.

To those critics, Are you out of your crunch?! She was only 14 and able to won the x factor with thousands of viewers in the hall and millions watching world wide. It takes lot of courage to sing and survive every round till the finals. Indeed, those people who like to criticize are those who doesn't have any talent and it is a form of jealousy because they will never have such gift! We are all proud of you Marlisa!!!! Such extraordinary voice far beyond your age. Keep the flame on and shine!!!!!
The first time audition i saw her, I said she will win this. I followed her to the final and she did it. Amazing voice and very well presented. Up to now I listen to her music what a voice. Keep it up marliza be proud of who you are.

it's the distinction of her voice that sets her apart. yung pagka raspy. yung boses na kahit isabay mo sa isang daang singers eh lalabas at maririnig padin. parang fergy, rihanna, you dont need to explode in stage or sing high notes to call yourself a singer.

She has an original voice. She is an original. She makes other songs into her own. Where as local filipino singers are usually gaya gaya/imitate other singers when singing.

If Australians appreciated her that much, why cant we Filipinos? She is sharing her God-given talent to us, so lets enjoy everything she has to offer and be supportive of her singing career.

I love Marlisa so much, she's indeed a great singer and I can't believe she's just my age. About 15 I believe. If people think she can't sing, she wouldn't have won X-Factor Australia at all, but she did ! She once sang on stage with a flu and a cold and didn't even rehearse but she still carried on and she knew she had to despite her condition, with that kind of age. I'll shove all of her video performances during her X-Factor days down people's throat and if that doesn't still convince them she's a great performer and singer, then I don't know what will.

All my entire life I have followed a few female singers/groups like Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks (lead singer of Fleetwod Mac), Andrea Corr (The Corrs), the Dixie Chicks and few others but not to a level where I could say I am a fan. And then I heard Marlisa from someone else winning the X-Factor Australia. Honestly I have never been a fan of any Filipina singer before. I'm okay to hear a song or two from a certain female singer whether they'd be a local or international singer. But this Marlisa really intrigued me for how could she have won in the x-factor Australia. She must be really good and I wanted to find out. So I googled the word Marlisa in the internet. Like I use to do when finding out about contestants in the x-factor or idol, I like to begin in their audition and gradually work up to their last performance. I'm interested to see their progression into the competition. But Marlisa was different. The moment I heard her audition song I was hooked up almost instantly. She has this very distinctive and beautiful tone that you normally can't find with other singers. She projects an aura of youth, beauty and innocence which is very endearing. Her natural shyness makes her even more likable. And at a very tender age of 15 to have that amazing talent, is really incredible!
Just a word of note. Like anything else in life, singers are not made for everyone. Songs are not made for everyone either. You are free to seek your choice and just leave everyone else to choose whoever or whatever they like.

Ang daming singer dyan na di naman kagandahan at retokada pa... but just look at her she is pure and natural in beauty... her voice is great... kung ipareha mo sya sa ibang singer, as in showdown, doon mo malalaman na ang taas ng voice quality nya... effortless yet so powerful. Pero syempre at her age, there is something that needs to be developed as a song artist... but she is one of the best singer i have ever heard... her voice is like an angel... i love how she perform... she is a Filipino... i m so proud of her...

She might lack the stage presence, but she has that distinct sound, singing titanium with very high notes..that can't be compared to any artist! stage presence can be learned...She needs more faith in herself and from people. Show your support not hate!

At least she got the most important aspect covered, which is impeccable singing! She can work on the rest of her act soon enough im sure, but overall...Pretty awesome job kid!!!
