Win or lose Marlisa will be a star, she has a bright future and I think it was fitting she got to duet with Jess, not only is she Marlisa's idol, but I can certainly see Marlisa's career mirroring that of Jess'. Jess was what 16 when she was runner up on idol 06', few years later look at her now. Marlisa has an incredible voice at 15, its monster, with more maturing, i guess even more life living, more work she'll be an amazing performer. In five years, hey maybe even less i guarantee she will be smashing charts around the world and like Jess she'll be ours, representing Australia.
Kudos to Ron for turning this timid young girl to a shining star! Couldn't believed you can train overnight a shy person to be confident.

April P yeah agree with you i started liking Jess Mauboy now... actually most Australian talents and people are nice and personable... i know a lot of Australians and they are not that difficult to talk with.. taking from my previous work... where most of our clients are abroad... i also like belgian people... they are nice.. they kept on giving us belgian chocolates.. or maybe because they like my boss.. shes reallly pretty.. LOL and also Japanese people... they always give us cookies green tea flavor everytime they visit... well maybe because they also like my Boss.. LOL... atleast its not just for her.. we are also benefitting.. LOL

I think every individual can be great and beautiful. It's just that there are social pressures and challenges. However, as a person, we also have to protect ourselves against others who have bad intentions (especially when you don't see it coming). If we always bring out the best in each and other, I can see that in any place how it can be harmonious like how you described the relationship you've established with other people and the way it is at your workplace. The sad reality is that there are plenty of people who basically didn't like that idea, but that something we gotta change. I'm with you in terms how you perceive people. It's the way we should view them not to be harsh or subjective.
April P yeah. that is why i don't thrash and try my hardest not to insult people by race.. because i get to talk with them face to face and most of them are very very delightful to talk with.. or maybe its because we treat them well and they return the same treatment everytime...and i always present our country diligently.. i am on a mission to disprove every negative notion that they have about us.. because Filipinos are very friendly people.. we have a lot of friends in every country.. and we show hospitality and love for work family etc. like no other ...

True, it's really simple if we treat people right then we also get treated right. It's just that some people get into that habit and always find something to say to screw everybody up. I think that's their problem to begin with. No matter where you stand or how you explained.. it just doesn't go anywhere. They might as well keep it to themselves.. but then again even after this, you see.. it just doesn't stop. If you and me are exchanging messages.. someone still going to say something. You watch. ^_^

Once again, Marlisa proved that sometimes it doesn't matter how you started the game but how you finished it. That last few seconds into the song defined that winning moment. Beautiful!
