Nice and lightweight, not drying at all, and gorgeous, wearable color payoff. As long as I keep my lips in good condition these feel great for hours and last. Hey! About a year ago I bought NYC Smooch Proof Liquid Lip Stain in a marker form in Europe and I love it! it lasts forever on my lips! Sometimes I wake up and still have it on!
I have "On Everyone's lips" and "Get Noticed", just got them today after I watched this video. And so far I love them. I have two of the Rimmel Provacolips and I like how the NYC Lip Stains feel way better than the Rimmel ones. After the NYC stain dry I put on Vaseline on top of it and it feels great and the color doesn't come out at all.
I bought one in a coral/peach color (forgot the name) and what I don't like about it is the scent. It has this perfume/deep floral scent that gives me an headach when I get just a tiny whiff of it, but that's just me.
Emily, does your Walmart have the NEW NYC display? All my Rite Aids have taken down their NYC displays and marked down what was left to 50% off. Waiting for the new display and products!!!

I got the one that looks purple in the tube, can't remember the name. I was disappointed because it went on more pink then purple, but man did it stain! It was still on the next morning! I returned because I was really wanting a purple.

DO NOT BUY THE MAUVE ONE. I have three of them the mauve, the fushia, and the darker pink and the mauve one is terrible. It looks nothing like the color when you put it on and it has no pigmentation compared to my other two it also crumbles into little balls. The other two I have are awesome! They are bright and true to the tube and they dry and sink right into your lips, feels like you're wearing nothing and man do they LAST. The mauve one is NOT like the others for some reason. I've seen others complain specifically about that color too. which sucks because I liked that color the most.

I tried that mauve color and while the color was nice, I didn't understand how to get any color out of the bottle. I literally had to put four coats for this to show up. Very watery, not creamy like they look on this video. Maybe I picked up a dud.

I went and bought On Everyone's Lips after your last video, and for whatever reason, it would not show up on the middle of my top lip. I applied 3 layers and nothing. I noticed like an hour later that it had balled up all over my lips and was clumpy and patchy. There was no stain left on my lips at all. It was so gross. Maybe I got a bad one?
Same thing happened to me too! With the same shade, applied pretty well then balled up not even 5 minutes later haha. Thank god they're only a few dollars are or I'd be pissed
another thing to keep in mind if you notice them flaking/balling up- you might be applying too much product. I've noticed that if it doesn't have the chance to get dry or very close to dry and you start pressing your lips together- you can end up with that result. I know even when I apply 2 coats, it can stay a little tacky, and I think that might be this product's limit. just something to think about! :)
For those who have tried this product I was wondering about the smell of this product? It seems amazing so far but I am really picky on my lipsticks/ lip products based on smell haha

I had such a bad reaction to the elf felt lip stain, I still have a sore on the corner of my mouth from it just being on for 5 minutes. Have you or anyone else had something similar happen with a lip product ?
Ashley LeClaire Honestly to me they aren't THAT drying because they're more of a stain and less like a liquid lipstick. After they dry it feels like you have nothing on your lips. I put balm on just because I forgot I had anything on my lips and it didn't really affect the color because it's pretty much stained your lips. They are kind of a bitch to get off tho, be prepared to have stained lips for a couple days lol
Rena Ash They are a little chemically tasting but stains usually don't have smells or flavors because it messes with the formula, the smell goes away once they dry and they dry pretty quick

Hey Emily! I loved the video, btw. I wanted to ask a question about my makeup. I have normal skin, but I have slightly more dry patches on my cheeks and in between my brows. Whenever I put on foundation, it looks like flakiness and dryness and like I'm wearing a lot of powdery makeup. If I try to apply more moisturizer underneath my makeup, my skin will look VERY oily, I just can't find a happy medium! >.< Do you have any advice/recommendations for me? Thanks in advance! XOXO
Try a scrub the night before. I love the st.ives one and it's not expensive ! Then apply well moisturizer and in the morning your makeup will apply well! Cheers
SolitudeMiss St Ives can be terrible on your face, because the shells they use to exfoliate have sharp, jagged edges. A better option would be exfoliating scrubs from Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, etc., because they are smooth and round.
If you want something more natural. You can take some rolled oats, (damped them a little to soften) a little brown sugar, some honey and coconut oil. Mix and gently rub in circles over your face. Rinse off and pat dry. Do before bed so you skin can absorb any residual oil. Oats soften and exfoliate the skin. Brown sugar gives a slight scrub. Honey is anti bacterial and coconut oil hydrates. If you also want to draw out impurities, you can crush some charcoal into the mix. Not the art supply one, the medical grade one.
If your skin looks too oily after you are done with your foundation, you can either powder it or you can blot with some napkins. You can also try mixing your foundation with some moisturizer to make it more hydrating.
Hi Emily! I really love the revlon just bitten kissable balm stain particularly the one in smitten. Apllication and staying power is really great with that one and I was wondering if the nyc lip stain you are showing is comparable to those (sans the moisturizing part)?

If you like lip stains you MUST try the Milani Lip Power Lasting Lip Stain! I believe CVS has them buy one get one free! Great video!

I found these at Kmart. I picked up the mauve color which I'm enjoying. I'll dab some over another lipstick, too.

I think these are a lot more sheer and lighter on the lips, where as the sepbora ones are more of a thicker liquid lipstick

The same thing happened to me...mine flaked off within the hour. I had high hopes for these. But glad they worked for you.

I haven't tried it but as it's an orange red probably not. Try looking for more bluish reds! :)
It's reds that are cooler, or blue tinted as opposed to more warmer orangey shades.

I know that stains aren't hydrating but do you think putting say an EOS balm over the top of these would work for someone with dry lips?!
Probably, yeah, just like the stains that are sold with balms. You'd just likely reduce the wear time.
