Stop sale was in June. It's September now and still no solution?! It was suppose to be a best selling 3 row hybrid in USA! Now no one can buy it for 4 months straight. And who knows how long it will continue? I was in the market for one, now I'm left scratching my head.
But I think the problem is deeper than that. Toyota may want to "redesign" multiple components and run several testing to make sure they can pass the safety testing they previously failed. With USA-designed toyotas, it's best to buy from the 3rd year of production onward. The regular highlander (4th gen.) was designed in Japan and has had a super soft launch with very minor issues, mostly related to manufacturing defects and not major design flaws.
That's a shame they hamstring hard working and skilled techs with limited hours to make the repairs. Glad your family was okay after that accident. Thanks for the updates and sharing your knowledge with us.
Thank you. Yea, it's unfortunate.
Good video brotha hope you can eventually get ur hands on one. I bought mine in February and have loved it ever since.
I know about removing headliner Toyota dealership had to be replaced one on my 2023 Tacoma a/c it was put in wrong by the factory and it had to replace it they did a fantastic but job it took him 3 1/2 hours hours get the job done
Great Channel. I am glad you and your family made it out of the accident without serious injury. What is your opinion on the 2024 tacoma with 8 speed automatic. I have a 2022 toyota tacoma and looking to upgrade to a Trd off road package. I currently have a Sr5 with the 3.5 liter. Thanks again and love your channel
Hey, thank you. I haven't seen any transmission in the shop yet for the 2024 Tacoma. I know there may be a few cases online, but i don't think it's the majority.
@TheYotaChannel Thank You very much for answering me. Great channel
I have 7 different Toyota models. It's sad to see the quality of the newer Toyotas dropping down. Toyota used to be the gold standard, now they're turning into just another manufacturer. Sad to see. Almost like they've forgotten why people buy them in the first place.
Sometimes it's hard to control what your vendors do, in this case the vendors that produce the airbags screwed up. Cars are far more complicated these days, lot of vehicles you probably owned in the past didn't have side curtain airbags to screw up.
Government mandates drive prices up and complicate the vehicles.
@@richardMenken-qi5qq yep, toyota was consistent as they were slow to change things. Mandates from feds mean changes, all these smaller turbocharged engines
wtf yall talking about government mandates?!? That has nothing to do with this!! Let’s not forget that this model passed the safety inspection!! The first year of a model, things will come up! If you watch the video, all the airbags deployed, but there’s a section that your head can hit the A pillar. Don’t make this a political thing 🤡🤡
I am glad your family was okay.
Thank you my friend
i left the industry when they started the flat rate pay. this was in the early 90s.
I wonder if the flat rate system will be around in the next 10 years. They need to get rid of it asap.
@@TheYotaChannel agreed. the only way it would change is techs form a union across all or most brands. Otherwise, there's no motivation for the dealership owners to change when they are making lots of money of the back of low pay techs.
That pano roof is a f-king nightmare to deal with. Toyota is cheap as shit with it's flat rate. There's no way 3.9 covers the work. It's a day job. It's a damn airbag. It's literally one of the most important pieces of the vehicle's safety. Those airbags deploy with immense force. They will break ribs occasionally from the steering wheel deploy, especially if you take a hit without a seatbelt. The airbags also move so fast you can get some hard core rug burns on your exposed skin.
Yes, it is an all-day job if you want to do it correctly and not rush.
What happens if you take an hour longer than what the flat rate states?
Lol, you only get what the flat rate manual says. No more, no less 😂😂😂
Hi you mentioned that you have 23 Highlander what are your thoughts about the 4 cylinder turbo engines so far
There are no issues with them. It has a quicker response to throttle application. Although it's 4 cylinder turbo powering a big suv, it does not feel underpowered at all.
@TheYotaChannel but I've heard they have bad transmissions in previous years. Is it a different one for 2023?
I own one of theses grandhighlanders for over a year now and im so disappointed!! So after a year they want u to subscribe if u want to continue having a navigator!! Pure greed by Toyota!!
Toyota is falling apart. Producing junk nowadays and price gouging its customers
