The fact that you can obtain the same thing from a blue one is something.

Seems like a bug turned into a feature, which you love to see in a puzzle game.
It looks like the code is:
Steps -= 1
If steps = 0: die
(obviously with other logic in between or after)
Having the comparator being less than or equal to would have been the fix to this, but utilising it as a feature is much nicer.
Love that he called the dogs at 2:53 kittens
It's incredibly funny to see that Tyler is obviously very smart, being able to tackle these kinds of games...
But then he gets some exposition about dogs being the cats' enemies and it doesn't click for him that the characters that want to destroy the cats' flags are dogs.
I am loving these N-step Steve videos since these are cool puzzles but I lack the brain capacity to solve them myself lol

the editing on the lost audio is amazing, actually honestly the editing of your videos always absolutely knocks it out of the park

This is one of my favourite series. Seeing Tyler surprised and stumped this often is amazing.

The transition between present Tyler and future Tyler and back is so smooth that I never know who to trust anymore

This game is insane 100% looking forward to Steve on the end screen
This video is great. I really think the game did the best it could with its simplistic/limited aesthetics. That small room where you're being flushed down really shows it. It's pixelated, I love it so much. It keeps being smart while delivering a story that is more than just 'there', it's pretty funny too. I really don't think bad aesthetics is really a downside anymore.
Also the editing is still perfect, as it always has.
That click in the head once Tyler knows that a portal is created if he passes through two adjacent barriers is so wild
Cannot wait to see more of this game because the amount of content inside and the puzzle innovation is so big and so excellent

This game officially reminds me of other insane meta games like baba is you. I live for this type of game and am now very much looking forward to 2 days from now when I can actually understand the wormhole stuff. Keep up the amazing content!!!

This game is so clever, I'm shocked how they can still come up with new interesting interactions
The negative moves mechanic is probably a good example of an ascended bug.
The craziest part is all this works from the jump. But the game does a very good job hiding it and saving your ability to solve til “post game”
10:00 In this level, I don't think the solution you found was intended, because the solution I saw online and the one I found myself used the rocks and blue flags. It could likely be fixed by simply shifting the 5-flag, kitten, and teleporter up by 1 square, since the solution I found had an extra move to spare at the end.

10:24 objects fighting over a square, that both try to be pn at the same time. Pretty sure same happens if in different directions, such as the rock above it and to the left of it entering at once.
Seeing Tyler understand a new mechanic is as satisfying as unlocking a new traversal ability in a metroidvania game. Impressive how such a simple game can impede progress in so many unique ways with no other barriers besides a lack of knowledge
9:50 the intended way to complete this level is to slowly push the 5 pip flag over to the edge and make a run to the purple flag when close enough
I k ow it was an accident but sometimes narrative Tyler is refreshing.
I can't wait to read Tyler's review on this game, I'm so impressed with the depth and complexity of this game's reasonably small set of rules

Ah, yes, the very familiar talking on mute problem. Made worse when your mic also has a mute button... so there are three places it can happen: mic, OS, app. Or, you can go the really old fashioned route and have the cable unplugged by a pet, like a cat, to be thematic. ;p
There is a decent chance that the negative moves was a bug that was turned into a feature when they found it

What does it mean by "spaces with two barriers in between"? The only interpretation I can think of doesn't apply to either wormhole on the screen that says that, but Tyler seems to think it makes sense somehow.
Two cats...? I mean, that would explain a lot of the two-wide hallways... But what is the missing link? I don't really see it, this puzzle might be as tough as steel. Maybe we should be looking for the origin? Hmmmm... Could you spawn two Steves from a split flag or something? ( sorry, i couldn't help myself, at least i didn't spoil anything, i'll see myself out for the next vid )
Split flags only make a single cat, because after you respawn the flag is only one again

For the one star you had to come back to: what direction do you face when you respawn in the level above without having touched a flag?
(I have no idea if this will work, just a guess.)
As someone who already beat this before tyler started his playthrough, I am simply waiting for him to realize what the two-doors all over the map and seemingly unobtainable stars are actually about.
