Way less linear than the cyberspace levels. Feel like I'm on a automatic train track most of the time. Unleashed was linear because sonic was speeding thru tight and small spaces in towns and cities. Hard to do that with full control without smashing into everything.

Sonic doesn't seem to get brought up when journalists get dunked on but I swear to god there is no franchise, gaming or otherwise, where being a fan of it seems to just inherently make you hate the very concept of professional reviewers (unless you're a classic purist). Sonic in the 2000s was a goldmine of fun, creative and interesting ideas and SA2 is basically the only survivor of how brutal the slander was
