I wonder how long the battery last. I have the 220 C, the 161 T and the trimer 135, the best one and witch i consider a "work horse" is with out doubt the 161 T.
Yesterday I went from 2pm to 6.30pm cutting a pile of oak for firewood I have the MSA300, and the 220C, most the time I use the MSA300 for the logs are quite tick, I have 3 AP500 and 3 AP300S batteries for this 2 saws again the saws are great but to cut continuous the battery time is a pain in the neck, lucky I was close to the house and always have one charging otherwise I be in trouble. In regard the MSA300 yes sure is powerful the problem is that if I always go in full power in order to be fast the AP500 fast be out of charge, it need a battery that last long for this saw and it not exist.
Oh, I did a search for the 500sp and says it is 337 watt hour. Since it been a 36 volt the amp hour is 9.36 right?
That's huge and very impressive. If I bought this battery for my wet saw that certainly would give me good run time.
Hoping the batteries are compatible with the older machinery.
I don't know, I have the AP500 and I have the trimer 135 the chainsaw 161T and the 220 I have the bateries AP 200, 300, 300S and 500 for this equipment I think the 500 is not worted because of the price differences. Now a wek ago i buy the MSA300 for this one yes you need the AP500 because the others only give you the EcoMode and not full power.
These new batteries look great. I have the ap300s and ap180 battery. I just put a laybye on the 220 which probably will do me fine.
Would I have bit the bullet if I seen this model first?
Knowing me I probably would.
So what are the watt hour of this new battery?

I also have a hedge trimmer, cordless 230mm ( 9inch) wet saw and a wipper snipper. I like the steel attachment for the wipper snipper as the line trimmer is rather messing and pulverises the grasses than cuts.
i have the chainsaws 161T and the 220 i also have the trimet 135, in my opinion the last place goes for the 220. The 161T is a work horses attending at is class. The bateries i have ap200, ap300, ap300s and ap500s, comparing prices and wortnes probably the worst one is the ap500s. For a little more money maybe better with two 300s.
I have the batteries AP500, AP200, AP300 and AP300S, then I have the saws 161T, 220C, MSA300 and the trimmer 135, on the MSA300 you only got full power if you using the AP500 but it works with all other ones but only ECO-MODE, to be honest I was expecting a little more from the AP500, when used on the MSA300 cutting continuous sense this saw requires battery power it tends to got hot and then even to charge it takes longer because the battery do not charge wile it still hot, this saw is a great powerful saw unfortunately the batteries don't feel like well up to the saw.

I don't know about the 300 but I have the161T and the 220 C. The 161 T is excellent, better than the220

Is dificult to say exactly because it depends on witch type of wood cutting and how tick it is and never forgot the chain condition but I may say something like between 20 and 30 minutes. Working with battery power chainsaw you must always be aware and try saving the batteries. My self I have 3 gazpower ones but after i buy this 2 battery power ones the gas ones are are a thing of the past. If you tink by one don't make same mistake i did buying the cheaper charger, buy right from begin the 500 witch is what I have now. I have the161T 30com bar and the 220C the 161T is a work horse. I am happier do far. I also have 1 200AP, 1 300AP, 3 300S AP and 1 500S AP bateries. Comparing the price and what you got of them between the 300S and 500S the 500S is way to expensive, little more is preferible buy 2 300S.
On the 161T now 90% time I even use the 200S battery because is light and normally in no tick wood like limbs i may run out of chain oil faster then battery. If used properly and with a new or sharp chain you be supprised what you can do with 161T.
I tink i have unser you that, now i just order the msa300 will see how it perform.
@@malizeka13 I just got the MSA300 about a month ago is more powerful then the 220C no question about, kind incomparable the problem is the battery time if you go in full power mode and using on logs about 80% of the blade probably no more then 15 minutes running time, if you go in ECO-MODE maybe around 25 minutes this with AP500 battery. I have bout however the MSA300 even in eco-mode still beats the 220C. Is a great saw in did I just feel the batteries are not up to the saw.
He speaks of vibration for long operation if it at max less than an hour work time . And the ap500 batteries at $350plus if you get three batteries to run saw about 3 hours who in their right mind would spend over $1000 bucks do you even know how much fuel you can buy with $1000

@@relaxingnature2617 Well not so fast I have 4 AP500S and the charger 500 but keep in mind if you run the MSA300 continuos the AP500S got hot and then it can take about 20 minutes just to cool off the battery before it can start charging back again.

I have went from gas to battery power and I am happy in did, but yes the batteries are way over priced in my view.
I have the Stihl GTA26, 161T, 220C, MSA300 and the Trimmer 135, the machines yes they are great no doubts, but the batteries technology fails way behind for a continuos 8 hours day working time.
