I think the grouping example would have been clearer if instead of the hi-hat example you gave you give an example of the G chord sounding differently when played up vs down

Perhaps, since I was already using that in the demo. I put the two variants of the G chord in the same group, not because they sound different (they do), but to prevent them from both playing at the same time. Playing either sample cuts the other one off. Thanks for the comment!
