Michael Pearce Q&A | BAFTA Award-Winning Writer/Director (Beast, Encounter)

We're joined live by writer/director Michael Pearce, following the recent debut of his sophomore feature film 'Encounter' starring Riz Ahmed and Octavia Spencer. Hosted by former Industry Liaison and alumnus, Lewis Bayley, the two discuss Michael's career and take questions from current students.
His debut feature film 'Beast', starring Johnny Flynn and Jessie Buckley, won Michael the BAFTA for Outstanding Debut for a British Writer/Director/Producer at the 2019 British Academy Film and Television Awards. The picture was also nominated for Outstanding British Film.
Michael's sophomore feature 'Encounter' was developed from an original screenplay by writer Joe Barton. The film follows two young boys on a rescue mission with their father, in the shadow of the threat of a sinister alien invasion.
