Thank you so much for this amazing review I’ve had this saber in my Temu cart for a while now and have never ordered it wondering how good it really is.. it looks really good and sounds really good 👍
It's a great saber at an amazing price. I'm going to follow up with an advanced tutorial showing how to add a MicroSD card and use the Bluetooth app with it
@@thefrugaljedi yeah, I snagged it for 42 US. My first one other than Black Series or the Disney replicas. Now I'm falling down the rabbit hole of all the VHC parts....oh boy...lol
@@devilcat1313 This is an RGB saber which is great for dueling. When you decide to get a Neopixel, it will knock your socks off! I've done a couple of reviews where I compared Black Series to Neopixel. The Black Angel by TXQ and the Black Series Leia Reviews
Great review as always. Maybe three or more of these lower cost sabers can be Frankensteined together to make a unique and original saber hilt or a more screen accurate legendary lighsaber. Love just getting the sabers out and mixing and matching trying new designs. Love nothing more than finding a basic lightsaber and customizing it. MTFBWY.
I know youre testing it, but you really remind me of my brother. Every toy he ever got he immediately broke them, he wasnt interested in the toy, just how easily it could break. 35 years later and hes still breaking new things. God knows why. 😊
I was the type of kid that took pristine care of my toys. I would freak out if I ever misplaced an accessory for one of my action figures (Star Wars, GI Joe, He-Man, etc) 😆
@@thefrugaljedi oh I don't doubt it!!! I took care of mine too. I kept all my toys from childhood. Sold most of my star wars toys back in 97 for cheap. Only Sold my He Man Gi Joe Thundercats Sectaurs and various other figures only 2 years ago. Of course they were unboxed and missing weapons and armor. But I managed to keep them for decades in a big tin. Only thing I kept for myself was GiJoe K9 from Law and Order minus his collar.
I'll add that, since it's a standard LGT, if someone wants to, they can always change out individual body/electronic components. There are several LGT resellers, but I'm a huge fan of Vire. I will point out that if you wanted to replace the emitter on that, you would also need to get a switch housing, because that's one of the few that has both in one piece. But yeah, LGT is awesome for customization.
As always, a fully feature filled lightsaber review. I'm not in the market for base lit lightsabers anymore, because I have enough of them I purchased over the last decade (and some I built myself).
I keep a few for dueling and for further tutorials. I felt this video would be really helpful for people who are new to lightsabers and don't understand the difference between a $20 saber and a $100 saber. Temu has so many sabers that look cool on the outside but have horrible internals. Or, if you look closely at some of the ads, the blades are REALLY short. They should be calling them Lightdaggers 😂
@@thefrugaljedi I have some of those shorter blades (20 inch to 26 inch) because when I want to use 2 single hilts coupled together, using those shorter blades makes it a lot easier to spin. I have some of those budget electronics lightsabers. I usually had gutted them to install my own internals if I planned to keep the shell. If not, I used them till they broke or gave away during the Holidays.
Awesome review!! How bright is this saber? Is it as bright as other RGBs? Because I've bought cheap lightsabers from Temu and they're really not bright. Thank you for your time!!
Hey i loved the review, do you know where to get a coupler i would need to get two of these and connect them? I’ve never bought a saber before so sorry if it’s a silly question. May the force be with you
If you're ordering 2 of these, contact Dupengda on Instagram or through their webpage lightsabershop.com. they will most likely send you a coupler because you're getting two.
Pretty good price for what is just an LGT baselit. Love these. I still throw my pixel sabers but I feel better about doing it with these, lol. They're just easier and faster to move about, and sweet you get such good sound. Do think it's generally better to use two screws on the same side at different heights. That's definitely a thing they could do better with but it's serviceable. The sharp edges is not. Again, if I throw these, I don't want to be catching them on that, so I have to sand them down. That should definitely be done better. Their windowed emitters can be a bit slicey at times, too. Hadn't thought to look on temu, lol. Pretty dicey selection. See one that says it vibrates. 😅
I agree that two screws on the same side works better. Three screws is even better. One on the lowest section of the emitter and the other two on each side.
So I just found this channel when you posted this video. I figured what the hell. I have been monkeying around with Arduino's to do my own saber and thought at this price it would get a decent one to look at and if needed cannibalize for parts. So I jumped on Temu and signed up for the app and ended up with a $25 off coupon. So ordered the saber and it costs me about $28 total. Got it today and I have to tell you that I agree with your entire assessment ... I would even go so far as to rank it a little higher since I got it for half the price you did. So just wanted to say thanks for the heads up on this.
$28! That's what I'm talking about! In the future, I'll be adding a MicroSD card to this saber and making a tutorial called Advanced XRGB V3. Go over how to add soundfonts and music, updating firmware, turn on some hidden featues, etc. Thanks for your kind words!

I just recently found out from Vire sabers that there is a difference between RGBX V3 and the Xeno3. With your button description, I’m guessing this is the Xeno3?
Correct. RGBX v3 has 12 soundfonts, no bluetooth and no microsd capability. I've reviewed a few of those in the past. The Adawlert, Sabermasters, the upgrade video I did to the Eleskoco.
For RGB sabers, the XRGB V3 is better overall by a small margin. Where TXQ is crushing it is with their SN-Pixel v4. The amount of effects you can create with it is insane.

A Sabertrio as your first saber is quite the first step into sabers! Honestly I don't think you're going to find a Windu or Starkiller for $250 or less.
