@greekre have u watched her early screen roles? Of not...do. She was a goddess beautiful and talented. But everyone has their opinion :) viva la difference
This movie was really camp and odd at the same time. It was cool to see a young Robert Hardy in this movie. They used a lot of lighting tricks to hide Joan’s signs of aging, like dark shadows to hide her sagging neck and soft focus to hide the wrinkles. She was well into her 60s when this movie was made, but they tried to portray her as a much younger woman who would be young enough to have a 16 year old daughter. She was still in good shape for her age, though, and she still put on a performance as if this movie was a Academy Award contender.
A similar film in many ways to the 1960 'Circus of Horrors'. In this one, comic actor Ted Lune reprised his role as the Skeleton Man, during the bizarre song sequence. An all- good entertaining British honest horror thriller....
And Vampire Circus too (Hammer). In fact, if you watch those two movies side-by-side, you will notice some of the same circus, props or equipment. I believe they use the same professional circus troop in both those movies.
@@debrabader806 HI Debra, I was sort of uncomfortable about the whole premise. I never could see them together. Did you happen to see the film where she adopted a disabled child and became an authority on the matter? Not often viewed.
There is something about this movie. I remember watching it on TV once on a Sunday afternoon in the 70s. On the Big Show of the Week. Pepsi at 1:12:48. Ty Hardin mentions Marie Antoinette.

Pretty good crime thriller. So many suspects. Joan Crawford was truly a class act. This movie would not have been as interesting with another actress playing that role. Very sassy and in control.

I like the movie I just didn't like the fact that they used elephants. Notice the chains on the elephants. That's because they shackle them and they can't go anywhere. That's not leg jewelry. Poor elephants.
Because attraction is individualized. What attracts you wont someone else. That's how the human race continues. Imagine if only the few were mating. Granted Joan was 60 when she made Beserk and well past childbearing years (generally speaking). So let's ferret this out. Some men are attracted to strong women. Some also gravitate towards experienced women who have more life experience. And some, oh those beautiful ones, appreciate the her thoughts, her humor, her appreciative touch, and her understanding. I could go on but im sure my point is well taken. Now that's not to say that young women don't offer this as well, some do. Now I'm saying all this assuming you are basing your yuck comment on her appearance and not the characters she is playing?! Anywho just some thoughts lol😂 and yes I'm almost 60 so maybe I'm biased?! I will cop to that. I'm an older lady and I adore JC. Guess I felt the need to give a little defense to a dead beloved star some love. If u haven't check out her movies from 1930's. And just one more thing: we aren't all given the gift of growing older but can receive the gift of kbowledge!

Many times the animals were treated horribly and the performers were also treated badly. So while you may have enjoyed the show, things were horrible behind the scenes. So being woke just means that we should treat animals humanely and people with respect.
