Wat Tambor is surprisingly vile for a minor antagonist. In the Ryloth arc he forcefully occupies Ryloth and starves and abuses the local Twi`lek and forces them to work. Sham Syndulla mentions that Wat Tambor kills the local rebels even after they surrender. This means that Wat Tambor broke his promise for mercy. Then after the Republic attacks Ryloth he uses the civilian population as meat shields and we see his forces doing this to an ENTIRE VILLAGE. Then after he realises that he would not be able to keep the planet for himself he proceeds to send several vulture droids to destroy as many villages as they can with mostly women and children and he tells them to start with the inhabited ones. You may actually watch the clip here. ua-cam.com/video/Y19usZVu2EI/v-deo.html Then he attempts to steal as many treasures from the planet as he can. In those episodes he conducts horrific experiments on sentient beings and what he did to Echo was terrible.

Actually, simply replace Wat Tambor with Nute Gunray and it would be accurate. Because Gunray has tried to assassinate or capture Padme many times. So it was much more personal for Anakin, or should I say Vader.
Tambor in Season 7: Isn’t shown melting someone because it’s “Too Violent” Maul in Season 4: SLAUGHTERS AND DECAPITATES HUNDREDS OF INNOCENTS AND BURNS THEIR VILLAGE TO LURE IN ONE PERSON
I doubt this scene was removed because of being “too violent” when we see in the finished product what happens to echo, and later we see Maul’s rampage, it’s most likely this was cut for pacing reasons
I agree, that seems far more likely since a whole two minute scene just to show what the death device does would have killed the pace of the episode. We already know Tambor is a horrible person and that his device is probably deadly, so this scene really added nothing. I find it annoying how everyone just assumes it got cut for being too "violent"!
