Neoguri was one of the original instant ramens. Been eating it for over two decades now and has one of the best noodle textures and I think they consider it an udon style. Buldak definitely has one of the best flavors in the world for sure. Interesting mix.

The reason you're getting that restaurant flavor is because of the kombu which boiled with water can make a dashi broth. That combined with the fish flavor from the neoguri noodle packets gives you that unami flavor. If you add some green onions and bonito flakes, you're golden.
If you want a ramen hack, replace water with Shin Ramyun with milk, or alternatively with soy milk if you are lactose intolerant and add a tablespoon of oyster sauce. A slightly sweeter alternative would be to replace the oyster sauce with sweet soy sauce.

I get why he mixes the buldok with the Neoguri, the buldok sauce has literally no taste it’s just hot so it’s perfect to mix into other ramen noodles. It’s why the other flavours like the carbonara buldok taste amazing purely because they actually add in a seasoning packet that has flavour instead of just the hot sauce.
Neoguri spicy seafood ramen with chicken broth instead of water. I use sesame oil, a touch of bacon grease, and some Lil Smokies or smoked sausage hits solid.
Shit i never tried it. Wife keeps complaining theyre dry. Even tho I reserve a good amt of starchy water for the sauce the noodles soak it all up. Some kerrygold will atleast give em that sheen.

I like to add a bit of dakr soy sauce for the noodles and add the sauce in packaging into bowl then mix it with noodles afterwards, that makes it more rich in flavor and more spicy as well. Adding a frozen vegetable mix when cooking noodles is nice too. For instant noodles which you only pour hot water on, put a little of light soy sauce and a bit o sriracha 🤤

There is a new noodle where it is a combination of nogeuri and jjapaghetti called jjapageuri .. there is a spicy version.. there is also stir fried shin ramyun

Great hack! Neoguri can be found in a lot of places in the US nowadays, including the Hispanic bodegas here in the Bronx, but I remember it becoming more famous because of the Jjapaguri hack in 2013.

Neoguri Spicey Seafood is my favorite! 🍜 I add calamari, baby scallops, extra seaweed, and a slice of American cheese. Sounds weird but I love it!
