There are 9 main modals verbs:
1 can ( suggesting,permission ability)
2 could( suggestion, past ability , polite request, possiblity)
3 would( conditional,polite request, imagine situation, habit in the past)
4 shall( determination,offering)
5 should ( advice, expectation)
6 may( permission, possibility)
7 might( less possibility, suggestion)
8 must(necessity, logical conclusion, strong advice)
9 will ( future, promise)
Extra
1ought to ( obligation and advise)
2 need to(necessity)
3 have to ( obligation)
4 u can mix two modals ( eg shouldn’t have to)
