Hey bro could you guess the fix for a halo box that just doesn't respond to anything. I'm thinking of opening it up but want to find if any night know something as to what it may be.
I just purchased a Halo Bolt and so far love it! I did NOT buy it based on the capacity rather the ac outlet and the car jump starter was the deciding factors for me. I'm not aware of another power bank that has an AC outlet. I'm sure there are some, but I checked one of my favorite brands Anker first and they did not have one. Also, who cares how much it holds if it can get the job done! As I type this charging one of my Mavic Pro drone batteries with the Halo and it's changing fast! Just tried it with my MacBook Pro and also charged is very fast. The Bolt did not hesitate. I would put a little more thought into your reviews. I also got mine for less than 99.00 on QVC with a 5 payment option and free shipping return. I don't normally use QVC but the few times I've used them or HSN the product quality has been excellent.
Sounds like you didn't buy the correct product for your need. That is a jump starter, that has other abilities... vs. a powerbank. that just charges a phone................. How does that compare?
Best thing I ever bought. Auto Zone had a big rolling battery charger and they could not start my car. But the Halo ACDC Bolt 58830 started my car. It works every time. I LOVE IT! i COULD SELL THIS PEICE OF EQUIPMENT.

Jumpstart release 12.5v and a sudden amount of amps too start a car battery halo is basically made for that more of a jumpstart than rather storging alot, but because they added various outputs too basically a jumpstarter it is not really ideal for long use of charging devices because of its various ways of charging the halo this tries too compensate for that. This is great to have in the car id still take another powerbank made for just that too charge devices for larger periods of time.

This video is completely useless. You’re comparing a vehicle jump starter to a power bank. It’s like buying both a weed eater, and a chainsaw, and complaining that the weed eater doesn’t cut wood.
It is also advertised as a power bank, hence all it's other ports. That is why i am here so i am glad to find out it has so little power as i am using it to charge a laptop
A jump starter is a power bank 😂 this one is also labeled as a jumpstarter and a powerbank basically the same thing with various outputs, just that when using a jump start the output takes a sudden jump in amps still taking from its powerbank... the jumpstarter depending how its used wouldnt be ideal for longer charging processes especially if u had used the jump start before charging other devices. But he failed to mention how convenient halo is able to be charged up while on the go.
@@3mptyroom66 A jump starter is not a power bank. A power bank is to charge USB devices. This is a jump starter, it happens to work as one but it isn't designed to be a power bank. The extra cost goes into circuitry you need to have to deal with the high currents and power back feed you get from jumping a battery. The other one just has some circuitry to go from 3.7V to 5V. The analogy is right on. You can you use a weedeater to cut wood but it isn't gonna be good at it.

I appreciate your comment. I’m looking for a power bank to run a small 750 watt heater. Thought the halo would be the key but now I know it’s not suitable for what I’m trying to do.
Why are you complaining about the Halo Bolt? It does far more than that $25 charger. It cranks a fully dead SUV in an instant. Plus it has 120v receptacle! You can't get any better than that! I have one in all my cars plus I bought for my parent's and brother's car. It's a life saver and highly recommend it to everyone. What this guy is talking is just pure idiocracy. The inexpensive charger can hold more power. That is great! But if my car battery needs to be jump started ... all that power that inexpensive battery has is not going to charge my car battery!!!! And as I sit in my car which I can't drive home I will look at that inexpensive power bank and I will feel very disappointed in it. Now, if the makers of that inexpensive model can add a car battery jump start feature to it and an AC Wall Outlet to it and still charge that same low price then I would be very interested in buying it! Nevertheless, thank you for a great review!!!

We own two. A Week ago our Halo Bolt caught on fire while it was sitting on my wife's office desk. Don't know why it exploded. Caused a fire in her office.
am thinking of buying the Halo for use as a DJ wedding ceremony set up away from a ac power supply. I watched another DJ test it in his garage and using a 3 plug splitter he plugged in a 12 powered speaker, a lap top and a wireless mic setup left on but nobody using it) PC played music a decent level and the battery lasted 2 hrs. I was hoping you'd have shown me what this power pack does and how it compares. does it have an AC receptacle?
Shauntel Gill then you need to watch a video that reviews and compares similar power banks and not one that compares one multipurpose jump starter to a simple battery pack.
Wait a minute.. Do u realize u r comparing a car jump start box that also has a 110v outlet, usb ports and a flood light... to just a power bank that can only charge your phone? Will the EC start your car with a dead battery? Or power your lights or medical equipment in case of a power outage? Or even power your refrigerator for few hours to save your food? Lol.. I think not.. You can't even compare these two.. U get what u pay for, and I'd take the halo all day every day!! I have several of them ;)
I received mine today. Opened a return request 10 minutes later. True it does more(?) than a basic battery bank, but at a way higher cost than other similar alternatives. Plus using mWh instead of mAh to advertise capacity is pretty deceptive especially for people who do not understand watt-hours and amp-hours. I myself fell for that very same marketing trick because I just saw the rated capacity number and did not notice it was in mWh, not mAh. People defend it because it's jumpstarted their car but they don't realize they could've accomplished the same thing for way cheaper with other brands.
You're a joke you say you can think but you obviously can't the power bank does not have an outlet and can't jump cars. Learn products before you think you can talk about them.
To all the haters in the comments HES RIGHT. There marketing tactics are misleading because generally portable power banks are measured in mAh but they used the mWh number because the average person probably won’t notice the difference and will assume it’s 3.7x the capacity that it actually is. Furthermore power banks of this physical size are often around the 58000 mAh figure so it blends right in.
Hmm, seems like your expectations are inconsistent. While you acknowledge that the Halo comes equipped with more functionality (multiple, USB ports, AC outlet, car jumpstart, flashlight, etc) which comprises a significant portion of the case space, you repeatedly compare its size to just a simple phone brick is expressed as a negative. This does not track as they are built for different purposes. The battery brick on the right cannot jump a car nor provide AC power, so obviously it can be made smaller and use other battery materials to pack in more power storage. That does not make the Halo a bad value in any way unless your only use is to charge a phone. That's kind of like saying that you are disappointed in the Halo because it doesn't meet you specific limited needs as what you really wanted was a sandwich.
no that is not true, he was right it was the 3.7 volts the 230 volts is only after going though an inverter to up the voltage for AC, that is not the real voltage on the battery, being a lithium battery polymer or ion it is a good assumption of 3.7 what is what all lithium batteries are. and the only way to make it higher is to wire them parallel, which for this no real reason to with the inverter, if you did do it with this math it would have 245,125 milla amp hours and even the instructions gives the same result as him 3x 5300 Milla amp hour batteries meaning 15,900 Milla amp hours.
I hope no one goes by this persons recommendations, since he is comparing apples to oranges. one is a Jump starter, that happens to also have other features such as a power inverter, phone charger etc...the other is just a straight up power bank that can only charge phones. I would like to see your power bank jump start a car, or try to plug a lamp into it.
Manufacturers can claim any mah they want, and mostly more than actual. Did you compare these under identical loads? Unless you did, this "comparison" means nothing. You video amounts to little more than label reading. LAME...... 😂
I watched a few videos of the other power bank and its labeling seems to be true. So the only thing that was left for was to test the actual capacity of the Halo Bold which I did here: ua-cam.com/video/DsoefwCVzd8/v-deo.html
u forget that many people use the bolt to power more than just a tablet or computer. i know dj's why use the halo bolt to power their sound systems in remote areas where they dont wanna use a generator.
He does say "thing" alot. But basically Halo is a jumpstarter with various outputs, holding less storage than the a powerbank. It is not ideal for long periods of charging devices, or appliances although you can use it for that it simply doesn't have much storage capacity as would a power bank. Jump starters tend to have less storage but a high output of Amps, so that it can get a vehicle engine too turn.

There is also a wireless Qi charger on top, Kyle.
You take milliwatt hours divided by how many volts the outlet that’s out then times it by 1000 that’s how much Milla amp hours you get OK
Outlet puts out then times it by 1000
no that is not true, he was right it was the 3.7 volts the 230 volts is only after going though an inverter to up the voltage for AC, that is not the real voltage on the battery, being a lithium battery polymer or ion it is a good assumption of 3.7 what is what all lithium batteries are. and the only way to make it higher is to wire them parallel, which for this no real reason to with the inverter, if you did do it with this math it would have 245,125 milla amp hours and even the instructions gives the same result as him 3x 5300 Milla amp hour batteries meaning 15,900 Milla amp hours.
I love my Halo Bolt... life saver for sure.
Ok so which power bank were you recommending? Couldn’t see the name.
The main point is will it start your car. It does. Next time be more partial in your review.
ChrisViral but it’s NOT a power bank. It’s a JUMP STARTER
The halo probably has around 20 bucks complete. The unit should have more batteries in it with a regulator to keep the power around 13v
I'm loving the dislike to like ratio on this video.
The little storage device that you are praising will not start your car.
u forget that many people use the bolt to power more than just a tablet or computer. i know dj's why use the halo bolt to power their sound systems in remote areas where they dont wanna use a generator.
What EC bank are you recommending? Model number? Thanks
These guy don’t know what he’s talking about 😂
He does say "thing" alot.
But basically Halo is a jumpstarter with various outputs, holding less storage than the a powerbank. It is not ideal for long periods of charging devices, or appliances although you can use it for that it simply doesn't have much storage capacity as would a power bank. Jump starters tend to have less storage but a high output of Amps, so that it can get a vehicle engine too turn.
bought 1 halo, great, then a second halo, also great, so i bought a third ... it turned out to be a piece of shit ... never got it to charge...i've been trying to return, fix or anything. can't find any info to who makes halo...bolt? i get a run a round
Using one USB port on the halo bolt gives you over 11,766,000 mA hours look it up
what was the name of the one that had all the power storage for about $25?
This one: ua-cam.com/video/a4gjoR_xof8/v-deo.html
@@ChrisViral Which batter packet do you now recommend? I want one with lots of storage but cheap as well. Get at me as soon as possible.
You know that the figures written on cheap battery banks is BS. I've seen 1 Billion mah on the side of some devices.
Love my halo bolt bout 2 buy another
Its the Best!!! I love my Halo , your way off lol 😂 get a new career, reviewing, might not be your thing🤣
lil 1 charge only phone n usb the other1 charge anything even a car which is the main purpose for these power bank a bank that hold power when u need it most you'll understand when ur car need a jump in the middle of nowhere & wish u pay a lil more or stuck at a work site & need car ur power tool so u dont have make a 2 hr trrw, all that power mean nothing if u cant use
i bought this 1 couple of year ago and when car would not start triedmy never been used before bolt. what a joke did not even raise a spark.. had to get breakdown out to charge up the my car to get going what a complete waste of money.first time i ever needed it and it was useless. it does not even light up the torch either. lesson learned join a breakdown service. and keep mob charged up a all times
Seems a lot of ppl dont recommend it, thanks buddy
if you wanted a plain old power bank why did you buy one that was meant to be used for jumpstarting cars lmfao . the halo cost more because of the features , if you didnt want all the extra feature then you shouldnt have bought it lmfao.
This video is not helpful. I am reviewing for portable car battery jump starters which you fail to address in any form.
I’m going to give this vid a dislike based on the comments I’m seeing lol
You’ll find that after six months the charger cord will not charge the halo useless
i've had mine for several years, and the charger cord works every time i needed it
I PURCHASED THE HALO CAR CHARGER FOR MY SPOUSE AS A GIFT LAST CHRISTMAS. HE TOOK CARE OF IT WITH PRIDE. HE WOULD BRING IT IN WHEN IT GOT COLD OR HOT OUTSIDE. HE WOULD ALSO CHARGE IT ACCORDING TO INSTRUCTIONS.HE LOVED HIS GIFT...TILL HE TRIED TO USE IT. A WOMAN AT THE GROCERY STORE COULDN'T GET HER CAR TO START. MY SPOUSE WAS MORE THAN HAPPY TO OFFER HIS SERVICES WITH THE HELP OF HALO.....TO NO AVAIL!!!.THE HALO WOULD NOT CHARGE THE CAR! HE WAS SO EMBARRASSED. THEN HE WAS TICKED. WHEN HE GOT HOME I CALLED HALO. THEY TOLD ME TO SEND MINE IN AND THEY WOULD SEND BACK REFURBISHED. I SENT IT IN WITH THE FLAWLESS BOX AND ACCESSORIES.KEEP IN MIND THIS WAS NEVER EVEN USED BEFORE, NOT COUNTING THE ONE TIME HE TRIED.WHAT WE GOT IN RETURN ADDED INSULT TO INJURY. WE GOT A SCRATCHED UP UNIT THROWN IN A BOX WITHOUT ACCESSORIES!!! AND THE PACKING MATERIAL WAS DIRTY!!! I CALLED AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD CONTACT THE SHIPPING DEPARTMENT. I DON'T BELIEVE FOR ONE MINUTE THIS SITUATION WILL END WELL.LOOK AT ALL THE LOW REVIEWS. THIS IS A SHAMEFUL PRODUCT AND AN EVEN MORE SHAMEFUL COMPANY. I HAVE HAD BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE ON EBAY. THIS COMPANY WANTS YOU TO THINK YOU WILL BE SAFE WHEN YOU ARE OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AND YOUR CAR DIES..BEWARE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE TO FIND THIS TO BE UNTRUE! GO AHEAD LOOK AT THE OTHER LOW REVIEWS WITH SIMILAR STORIES
Sorry to hear that"
Yeah I think this is due to the low capacity. You can't store it too long withough charging it.. But what do I know.
It has a process to use it correctly amd if you dont it wont jump it. Sounds like he didnt do it roght amd as far as their customer service? Best in the buisness by far. Sorry you had a bad experience
If the car battery is completely dead it won't start it. I came across one car like that. I use this product 2-3 years possibly more and it started every car

my own stop charging for no reason 😡
Parents bought me a halo. Broke in less than a year.
Bought mine 2 yrs ago. Didn't have to use it till now. Plugged it in to fully charge it and only one green charging bar lights up. Had it charging for a day and a half and still only one green bar. Needless to say, for the money I payed for it I should have gotten some use out of it. Warranty is expired so I'm stuck.
Complete load of rubbish!
chris trre is one of these by anker or aukey idk which one but its 56k mah that one works and is only 100
Thanks for that my dude :)
Mine never worked

Awww man, Thank U, Thank U, Thank U, U just save me abt $120, good lookin out
Wow, My HALO Bolt jump started my truck twice in 1 day and charged up my phone after. I gues I got robbed. Oh well, live and learn.
It jumped my car on the second try.
Here's what I did.
On the first attempt I just hooked the battery cables up and expected my car to start, on my second attempt I let the Halo charge my battery for a minute or so and it started right up. It wasn't an Halo error it was my error.
