It gets too mute-y/nasaly in the higher dynamics for me. It is not powerful enough for me to give that epic sound. I think it works best for deep, low brass :-) That is my opinion though :-)

I think you're right. Once I got Metropolis Ark 1&2, Symphony series got outta there fast.
Both the legatos as the overall sound are much more reliable.
The Symphony Series Woodwinds are also oddly sharp and ugly, I replaced those with the 8Dio Claire series
