- Huyndai Sonata radio and navigation is not working. Very easy, took me 3mins to fix the problem. Very common problem, blown fuse. Most of the huyndai vehicles have the same problem, any model sonata, santa fe, tucson, kia optima.

I have a 2011Sonata 2.0 turbo.My radio works but the right side of the steering wheel(Cruise control,re set mileage,and average MPH,etc,etc.)Do not work.Any help with this?

Radio cold be bad. It shouldnt take 2mins to turn on.

Can’t lock and unlock that door it’s messed up, plus my anti alarm light is off now. Can yoypu demo the answer to those questions please? Promise to make best rpcooments fir you each time.😊
You have to replace the door lock actuator assembly and key lock cylinder since they damaged the lock already. Not sure about the alarm for the security system, take it to dealership for the alarm.
I try changing the fuses like u showed here in this video on both multi media fuses and still doesn’t turn on it stays on black screen I have a 2016 Hyundai Genesis ,I also spilled soda on the radio controls
If you spill soda in the control, that could causes the radio unit to shorted out. Only way to find out is to remove it and check. Connector could be damage, corroded and the part is bad.

Not sure about the update thing, "it could be that the update software is not compatible with your system, but i dont think thats the problem. It could be the radio itself is bad. It could be electrical problem, or damage wires or a short in the system or poor connection.
@@Ah_Duuu_Ma thank you bro but the sad thing it’s seven years and I still can’t adjust the eq for the radio manually also paired and unpaired phone and the dealer refuses to fix then, five months after I bought the vehicle until now.
I did saw a small hole in the screen after I picked up the the vehicle but you know they said they don’t know anything about the hole in the screen

Pull the fuse out to see if it reset itself .The car has a built in mic, could be that is bad or just buy a new phone.

Then you could be having poor connection, loose connectors or broken electrical wires. The radio unit itself could be bad.

My radio is stuck on. When I turn the car off and open the door the daio keeps playing. I can't turn it off manually at all or turn it down. Touch screen isn't working either.

Should be similar. If you check the fuse is good and the radio is still not working, then it could be broken electrical wires or radio itself is bad.
What happens if the extra fuse doesnt work? Could I try with the other extra fuse on the panel??

Try to pull the fuse and plug back in, to see if it reset itself. If not the navi is bad.
Mines come on but it’s cutting off and on like every 15 secs… Do you think it could be the same thing?
If your is cutting out it could be lose wires or connectors. If theres no lose wires, then the radio itself is bad.

I have a 2013 gt. will this work if the screen isn't blank, but is frozen on that startup display? my radio still works with the steering controls but that screen doesn't change at all, not even when I go into reverse
You can try to put new fuse in to see if it reset itself. If not then the radio itself is bad.

Car should still be under warrantee, its 2021. Too new for me.
Ok guys I had the same problem except the Hyundai logo kept restarting every 10 seconds. Radio didn’t work for almost a year and finally I started my car last week and a random NEW screen popped up and said “making quickboot image” with a loading bar and it essentially updated the radio and now it works as good as new. So DO NOT throw away or replace the head unit it just needs a software update if your car hasn’t already received the update call your local dealer and they will update the radio for you.
Hello man, I have the same issue I tried almost everything but nothing seems to work for me, got black screen all the time.
This is what I've tried:
· Turned off then turned on my car
· Verified fuses
· Disconnect and then I reconnected the main battery cord
· Reseted stereo
· Switched to reverse in order to try to activate back camera

I had the same issue with my radio however I replaced the fuse still not working I even pressed the small tiny reset button and still the radio will not work. I even tried the on and off switch located where the fuse box is and nothing is working.

@@abdrahamanahmed9616 Could be electrical wires problem or the radio unit itself is bad. Try to disconnect the car battery to see if it reset itself or pull the radio fuse.

Could it also be just the radio’s touch screen itself? Cuz the car logo comes on and goes every few seconds and I tried the radio sound now it is working after I tried the reset button that you recommended, but when the screen is blank (black, nothing there), still the radio cut off and on whenever the screen goes black, n there is nothing on screen except the car logo that comes on n off. I did try the car battery disconnecting too. And couldn’t tell if the 15amp fuse is good or bad. I removed it and replaced it with the spare but didn’t work so I return it. Any suggestion would appreciate it! Thank you again

Wa happen if you replace the fuse and still have no power going into the radio
Then check if theres power going intp the radio "if you know how to check it". If theres power then replace the radio.
Fuse wasn’t blown in mine, but doesn’t work. Radio? Dash shows “A/V off” or “power off” when it’s turned off just no screen
Also the USB port didn’t work for a charger

You can try to pull the fuse to see if it reset itself. Or check with the dealership to re-update the software.

Then they jump it backward, that's why the parts are shorted out. Check the radio fuse.
Mine basically had a boot loop for a couple of months and then suddenly it became a black screen with no audio or visual. The backlight of the screen is still on so it's receiving power. I tried replacing the fuse to no luck.

If you replace the fuse already and still not working. It could be the radio unit itself is bad or electrical issues. Hyundai do have an software update on the radio system for it to reupdate and reset itself (only at dealer).

If it doesn't work. Then remove the radio, check for power and ground at the radio connectors. If theres power and ground then the radio itself is bad. If you can't do it, give it to a mechanic shop.
Another thing is if the radio screen stuck or freeze at the home page, then you need to update the radio software at the dealership.

What if the radio is on but the screen is frozen?
You can try to pull the fuse for it to reset. If it still doesn't work then you need to go to the dealership to to re-update on the software.

With key or keyless no difference. If you check the fuse and its good, then you could possibly having electrical issue or the radio unit itself is bad. Pull the fuse plug it back to see if it reset itself. Some of the newer models need an software reupdate.
What happens if this dosent work
If you put the fuse in and it doesnt work. Then the radio itself is bad or electrical problems such as damaged wires or broken, could be loose connectors or poor connections.

@@dylanwight620 So if the radio is bad. Used radio is around $200 plus 2 hours labor around $300. Total estimate around $500. Depend on where you go to. Dealership charge $200 an hour. Local shops charges around $130 to $175 an hour.
