I have ZERO experience, never even sat on a bike, but seriously. Seriously thinking about buying a 500 for my 1st bike. I'll only be able to afford it once . I can't buy something cheap and then upgrade later. Do you have any suggestions? Is this a good idea? Some say yes, some say no.
@imdylanhensley I'm willing to get a smaller CC, but it's hard to find in my area. The 400 is the smallest when it comes to sports bikes. They have Honda Rebel 300s and lots of Groms. I even considered a Grom, but I just know I'm going to eventually want something with a little more power. I appreciate the advice.
I suggest you to try Kawasaki Z650, its 2 cylinder engine is very beginner friendly. usually, the naked version of any bike has higher low-end torque and lower high-end horsepower (and in some bikes, naked version has higher gear ratio), making it very enjoyable for slow city riding, or if you're like me bought the full fairing version and converted it to the naked version.
Just got the ninja 500 last month and it's incredible. My first bike ever so don't really know wat other bikes feel like but definitely a great starter bike
@carsonweeks6560 I bought the 500, I'm taking my MCF next month. I have been riding it around the neighborhood. My wrist hurts so bad just after a couple minutes. That's kinda all I'm focusing on

Would an Austin Racing GP1 for a Ninja 400 fit on a Ninja 500? They look the exact same on the side.
Most likely, a majority of aftermarket parts for the 400 will fit on the 500, the biggest difference is the displacement.
