10K for a stock SR20DET is delusional lmao. Try half of that for a full rad to driveshaft swap. Don't get me wrong. I love the KA. I have 2 DE-T's. Never touched an SR. But I've shopped around. I've had buddies have a few. 10K is a full K24 or 5.3 LS swap dude...
I had the Tomei long block package in mind. When I put in the price list it was $6k - Engine only. I haven’t seen a full swap (at least not with the engine built) cost $5k. The engine built out with the same internals as mine - with rocker arms stuff added it put a built SR just over $10k. Yea this was in light of engine only and at what cost each would be at if fully built.
@@BuiltToBoost At about 1:10 you start to say and go onto say that "the SR in it's stock form is about $10K". If you want a fully built SR, sure, 10K is probably what you'll have into it, or close to that at least. But a full stock pullout rad to driveshaft is usually around $3,800-$4,500, sometimes less, rarely more.
Yea I had the built price in mind from the beginning of the video. I averaged out the price from multiple JDM expos and got a base of $6k for a complete SR20DET engine. And my price list with all the same parts that are in my engine for the SR is just over $10k
