Ezekiel 37:15¶ The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying, 16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: 17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. 18 ¶ And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these? 19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. 20 ¶ And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes. The stick of Judah This refers to the Bible as a record of the house of Judah (Ezek. 37:15-19). In the last days, when the various branches of the house of Israel are gathered, their sacred records will also be gathered together. These scriptural records complement one another and form a unified testimony that Jesus is the Christ, the God of Israel and the God of the whole earth (JST, Gen. 50:24-36 [Appendix]; 2 Ne. 3; 29). The stick of Ephraim or Joseph A record of one group from the tribe of Ephraim that was led from Jerusalem to America about 600 B.C. This group’s record is called the stick of Ephraim or Joseph, or the Book of Mormon. It and the stick of Judah (the Bible) form a unified testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ, His Resurrection, and His divine work among these two segments of the house of Israel.

Thank you Brandon. I love understanding the deeper meaning of God's word. Learning these words helps me draw closer to Him. I love your teaching and thank God for you. Amen
I would add "Ruah", the Hebrew word translated as "breath" or "wind" in the bible. It encompasses more than just a physical movement of air. Think of it as the spiritual force that animates life. Big moments for "ruah" are when God ruahs into Adam and in the description of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.
Thank you for this! I would love a video on accurate translations (as opposed to Roman incorrect translations) of words such as “repentance”-metanoia and “sin”-hamarte.
There is a new one ,TLV , The Tree of Life version. It was translated so Jewish children have better understanding because it uses their native interpretation
I'm so edified i could stop at 2:29. No kidding. I never assumed the bible meant meditation on the word had to be silent. For me the really big deal is not being a hearer (meditator) ONLY. But being a DOER is damned hard.
I love how you explain the Hebrew meaning of words but I am wondering how accurate your application is when explaining New Testament scripture since the NT was not written in Hebrew. The NT was not translated into Hebrew until 1599/1600 A.D.
You should get into all the differences between Jewish law and that pronounced in the bible. That and all the absurdities and contradictions between the two. Especially on what the requirements of a Messiah were in the Jewish texts and how all those requirements are changed in the bible.
The beautiful word of God is expressed majestically in the Hebrew language. I am in awe of your knowledge of both. It is, to me, a pearl of great value to receive lessons well explained and taught. Thank you, Brandon. I remember my late Jewish grandmother who could understand the Bible in a level that I could not. What tremendous blessing! Thanks to you, I now can have the same blessing.
Do not be in awe. Learn the language. It's not hard, it really isn't. Every three year old in Israel (Jew, Christian, Muslim, or otherwise) can do it. Most Jews worldwide can do it, at least enough to know what they're praying. Remember your Bubbe, I'm guessing she wasn't a Nobel Prize Linguist, because you really don't need to be. But know this: One video and ten words, is not "the tremendous blessing" - it's a teeny-tiny hint of a taste of a clue. Follow that clue to actual literacy. The "level you cannot" is nothing harder than what three year olds do.
@@metsfan1873 Mets Fan, Hebrew might be easy for you. I have no clue on how you learned it. If you learned it in childhood, it is not a big deal. As you pointed out, even three-year-olds can speak it, not because Hebrew is easy, but becaus every language is easy if a child is born onto it . You must have taken lessons or learned it from someone who is a speaker of it. I do not know about you, but every language on which I became fluent (Spanish and English), required dedication and effort. I am almost fluent in Italian (self-taught) and I studied French, also. My native language is Portuguese and even native speakers of Portuguese do not use it the way I studied it in college. In other words, foreign languages are difficult to me because I have the respect to learn them properly. As for Hebrew being a tremendous blessing to me, it is because it is one of the languages of the Bible and it is difficult for me to grasp its context because it was written in ancient languages, full of idioms that are not used anymore in our days. This is what I referred to by stating as a tremendous blessing. I reaffirm it is a tremendous blessing, the blessing of understanding the Bible with Brandon’s explanations. And allow me to be in awe of that. It is also an honor for me to link Hebrew to my ancestors’ ethnicity, since they were Jews.
@@ecysmith6652 Nonsense. You just need the right teacher. Languages scare Americans, but it's nonsense. Learning languages as an adult is an acquired fear; it's all in your head. I really do appreciate your willingness to teach the deeper, "behind the scenes" meanings! It certainly puts things into a different light. I'm wondering how did you learn about this please.
I’ve learned in a variety of ways over the years. I have a masters degree and have read many, many books. I’ve also visited the Holy Land and learned many things there.

Hi. You actually won’t find it there. It’s a Hebrew phrase, but Strongs only shows Greek. We know those are the words, though, through rabbinical tradition.

TOPIC SUGGESTION: In Ezekiel 9, bible tells about a man wearing linen putting mark to people who are to be saved from punishment. Notice the context. Can you notice the similarities with book of revelations? What if God operates in the same way in the end times? Pay attention on how God chooses who gets his mark and who does not get it. Also, what happens to those who get the mark and who do not? Take a look.
WHAT IF..... lol, because you don't actually know, you're just conjecturing. Every Christian/ religious person has their own version of God. Some people think Yahweh condemns gays and some thinks God loves them... Everybody makes up their own religion.
@@WanderingExistence I read bible as a a single unit. I concider it as a word of God. I belive bible makes truth claims and that bible repeats all the core teachings in many places. I also belive that bible cannot contradict in core teachings. It does not bother my faith, that bible tells in one place that solomon had 4000 horses and in another place that he had 40000 horses. That is not a core teaching. However, I belive God cannot lie and that one day He will annhilate sin. Bible says that payment of sin is death, so all sinners will die. That means God hates sin, and one day it will be no more. Book of revelation tells that God will mark his own people before the destruction, and this verse says the same. This verse says that those, who hated the sins of israel were sealed and saved. Book of revelation said that those, who kept the commandments were sealed and protected from God's punishment. Also, heavenly man wearing linen clothing appears in other places too. I dont just tell people to take whatever I say. I encourage people to study the bible, and see by themselves. This way it wont be just a subjective opinion. Our world is full of subjective opinions. In 2022 USA, shredding your own biological child to pieces in 16th century fashion before birth is concidered to be healthcare. In 1940's germany, sending some millions of jews, gypsies, disable and other groups to gas chanbers was concidered progress. What do people come up next? Lets see, since everyone chooses by themselves what they concider normal and legal. Sky is the limit. Bible does not operate this way. It tell what unchanging God concideres righteous. It calls all sin as sin, no matter who commits it. God absolutely loves all people and absolutely hates all sin, since there is no sin in God. If a christian marched to capitol hill to riot and loot, that was a sin, and it will be punished. For it is written, that rebellion is a sin equal of witchcraft. If a liberal politician in California bought prostitutes with governmental money, that was a sin as well, and it will be punished. For it is written that no fornicator shall inherit the kingdom of God. This is why everybody needs Jesus.
Just a bit of clarification on your example of Peter and Andrew when Jesus said, "Come follow me". Andrew was already a disciple of John the Baptist. The day after Jesus was baptized by the Baptist, Andrew and John (son of thunder) left the Baptist to follow Jesus. Jesus however told Andrew and John to return home as Jesus was to go into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan. During this time Andrew was prepping he brother Simon (Peter) and John was prepping his brother James. When Jesus had finished with Satan, He went to Capernaum found Andrew fishing with Simon, had His sermon in Simon's boat the created the miracle with the fish and this then tipped SImon Peter to follow when he was called. Same with James the brother of John. John and Andrew were already convinced that Jesus was the Christ, Jesus' plan was to also use the brothers.
I love looking into the context and trying to understand the Bible from the perspective of the people who wrote and read it when it was written, I think that's very important. I really appreciate that you do that! Your videos are very interesting!
Hey first off I love these videos and I enjoy all the insights and aha moments that you’ve brought me So thank you Second, I’ve always been a. Little bothered listening to your videos and I didn’t know why I figured it out after dealing with it in person from a teacher this week When your connector word or pause word when making a point is “right” it comes off as condescending I’m not saying that you are doing it on purpose or even thinking about it I’m just pointing out something I observed to maybe help in some way
Lol, no it's not. Faith doesn't open your eyes, because faith has no evidence to be seen 🤦🏼 Got to love these people who say "you got to have faith" and then say they "know God loves them"
1st Corinthians 6:9vv and 1st Timothy 1:10vv are oftentimes cited classifying homosexuality as sin. This is correct as far as it goes. Also mentioned in both passages is what amounts to gossip. What you say about major and minor sins are correct. Sin is sin. Even though humans in general - Christians included - think of murder as worse than goofing off on the job, they are both flouting the Lord's will and are sin. Amen. According to Strong's Hebrew Lexicon pronounced "Aw-MANE'; In my opinion should be written "amen!" It is everything you say and in my humble and rather simple mind, is much the same as an energetic "You Betcha!" I must agree with you, there are many Hebrew (and probably Greek) words incompletely translated in the King James Version and generally watered down for general reading. But I started first and have a questioning mind (thank You!, Lord). So I've had more time to dig around.
I use to think Yahweh was the correct way to say the Fathers name till I went back home for a wedding. There was a Jewish woman there, that had received the Savior. While talking I shared about calling Him Yahweh, but knew some people call Him Yahovah. She became upset and said that it was fine to call Him Yahweh. She said that by no means call Him Yahovah, because it is to holy. That answered my question! In the Hebrew culture
Thank you. Word meanings and their contexts are important.. Another few common words to look at are, sin, good and evil and worship. For instance, offense, trespass, transgression and sin are often understood to be interchangeable. But each has its own nuance with “sin” being the most distinctive. It means, as I’m sure you know, “to miss the mark,” an archery term. But if an archer misses his mark, what was he aiming for? Sin then speaks of intention as well as result-the Romans 7 dilemma Paul describes so thoroughly…
Question, I have always wondered. If we’re to follow Jesus’s way why don’t we keep Sabbath on the proper day, Saturday? Why don’t we keep the original feasts that He kept? why does the modern church seemingly follow more of Paul’s teaching then Jesus’s?
Why don't we stone gays, people that eat shellfish, and people that get tattoos?? It's in the Bible? If God really wanted people to not cast the first stone if they were without sin.... Then why didn't he say that in the first place?? Maybe... because humans made it up....
@@tinafish1040 thank you. I believe we can too, just seems like there are very very small pockets of folks who do and they’re few and far between in finding any 😊
"Greek" (strange) and I need subtitles but informative video 👍. I always wonder why Bible in English is written in a complicated, confusing way . I guess one knows more with immersion and being counseled.
The comments on “lesser” and “greater” sins made me think I’d love to see a video on some of the more obscure instructions that Christians generally don’t follow, such as about not wearing garments of mixed fibers, not adorning with jewelry or braids, why some Jewish sects don’t cut men’s hair, etc. There are so many things that we typically don’t follow, but is this because the meaning of the passages is not the literal?
Jesus in that chapter goes on to say, I have not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it, and that we must follow these laws until the end of the age, however I’ve read that scholars think that this meant until Jesus died, and resurrected, however the 10 commandments I’d say are the must live by, but I’m not to sure on what it truly meant as im not super smart
In the Council of Jerusalem recorded in Acts 15, the Apostles agreed that Gentiles who joined the church were not obliged to obey any of the Old Testament regulations other that to avoid eating eating blood or meat that had been offered to idols, and sexual immorality. Paul in his letters (e.g. Romans 14:14-17) stated that in his view the dietary restrictions only needed to be observed when eating with people who might take offence at what others were eating.
Teach me how to truly study the bible please!! I wish to immerse myself into Jesus, Yeshua, my King!!! Help me Lord

Thank you again Brandon ! I always come away with things that shed a new light on reading and understanding God's Word. God bless you and keep you and yours !!
Good Job.
This was good, thank you. My only critic is amen is used at the beginning of many verses, normally translated as truly truly. This does not mean you are wrong, you are right, I was just hoping you would have pointed it out.
Good job.
I was always told the word 'amen' meant so be it. Good video! 😊 TY
Thank you for bringing clarity to these words this was very helpful. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️❤️❤️!
Thank you so. Much I am very appreciative of this interpretation of these ten words. I learned a lot!!!
Thank you
""UNDERSTANDING""
.....Is an awesome gift to receive.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and understanding. This is so critical in order that we hear what GOD is saying to us -&-
UNDERSTANDING the context as GOD intended the original hearers of the message to receive AND understand. ......Well worth studying. Thanks again!
God has a plan for all of us, that's why he plans for some people to get killed in mass shootings. Then the women next to the murdered person can say it was "a miracle that God saved her"... But not the other guy.
Solid, "understanding".
Ezekiel 37:15¶ The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,
16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:
17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
The stick of Judah
This refers to the Bible as a record of the house of Judah (Ezek. 3; 29).
The stick of Ephraim or Joseph
A record of one group from the tribe of Ephraim that was led from Jerusalem to America about 600 B.C. This group’s record is called the stick of Ephraim or Joseph, or the Book of Mormon. It and the stick of Judah (the Bible) form a unified testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ, His Resurrection, and His divine work among these two segments of the house of Israel.
Baruch can also mean to open, when you bless someone or God blesses you, you open yourself, your home, your finances, just as God does for us when he blesses us.
Thank you for taking the time to teach!
AMEN!!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU
Thank you for this!
Amen
Shalom comes from the word Lashalem, which means to pay, to fill, and to fulfill. Jesus came to pay the price for sin, to fill us with the Holy Spirit, and to fulfill the OT.
❤❤❤thank you😊
Thank you for this enlightenment.
Terrific Clarity!!! Thank you Brandon!!!
Serious student of the Torah study in pairs, discussing what they are reading. Orthodox Jews say their prayers aloud (usually, but not necessarily, in an undertone). Amen can also be translated as "So may it be" or (to quote Jean-Luc Picard) "Make it so!"
AMEN!
This was life changing. Thank you
Thank you Brandon for the word of God
Slavery is the word of God.
"When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do."
Exodus 21:7
I was taught that AMEN in other words was (So Be It)
Bless you!
The part of Gideon was for me. I have been full of doubts. I doubt that any woman would want me because I am older with many health issues and I live on a small retirement check. And I have doubt I can be used and be able to share the word of God because I of my health that has me disabled
You have really done an outstanding job teaching us . I love your lessons.I have a hard time understanding the Bible, so you are helping me. ,😇
Thank you!
Are you back from the Holy land? I hope not that would’ve been too quick! Just love seeing all your pictures! Now I will watch your videos continuously! I hope you’re still there because it seems to of been awfully quick! God bless you!
Hey, Joolz. We are back! We were there for 2 weeks. It was amazing and exhausting! I have so much to share with you all over the next few months!
Thank you Brandon. I love understanding the deeper meaning of God's word. Learning these words helps me draw closer to Him. I love your teaching and thank God for you. Amen
LOVING this series!!!
Millions of immigrants do it every week, in dozens of countries and dozens of languages. Get over your imaginary inability. It isn't real. It never was.
As a child we learnt “Amen” means, let God’s will be done.
Awesome video!!
Thank you!!!
Loved it, thanks for making such great content!
May I know what are the books on your desk and where can one purchase them?
Great lesson.
@@BrandonRobbinsMinistry All that, and you still don't know what God "thinks". You're reading a book that's been translated 100's of times from an oral tradition of "telephone". Acting like you know is kinda sad.
@@WanderingExistence glad you’re here.
@@ILive4Jesus What is that supposed to mean?
@@WanderingExistence Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Wouldn’t it be something if you wound up becoming a Warrior for the Faith?
@Brandon Robbins I can not find Lech Achari in the Strongs Concordance. What am I missing sir? Help a fellow laborer out 🙂 Thank you for your teaching! Huge fan
Hi. You actually won’t find it there. It’s a Hebrew phrase, but Strongs only shows Greek. We know those are the words, though, through rabbinical tradition.
@Brandon Robbins can you provide me with a reference? I just need 1 simple source. What would be your thought on which book to read? To better understand Lech Achari? I appreciate you so much!
TOPIC SUGGESTION:
In Ezekiel 9, bible tells about a man wearing linen putting mark to people who are to be saved from punishment.
Hi Brandon, What, please, are the 3 reference books on the desk, to your right? Thank you for teaching!
I love looking into the context and trying to understand the Bible from the perspective of the people who wrote and read it when it was written, I think that's very important. I really appreciate that you do that! Your videos are very interesting!
Hey first off I love these videos and I enjoy all the insights and aha moments that you’ve brought me
So thank you
Second, I’ve always been a. Little bothered listening to your videos and I didn’t know why
I figured it out after dealing with it in person from a teacher this week
When your connector word or pause word when making a point is “right” it comes off as condescending
I’m not saying that you are doing it on purpose or even thinking about it
I’m just pointing out something I observed to maybe help in some way
you should do a word study on aion and aionios it will change things.
I was taught by a messianic Jewish guy that "Amen" is actually pronounced "Ah-main" in Hebrew. And a messianic Jew is a Jew for Yeshua/Jesus.
You should do Holy Spirit & Ghost.. It's an eye opener.
Lol, no it's not. Faith doesn't open your eyes, because faith has no evidence to be seen 🤦🏼
Got to love these people who say "you got to have faith" and then say they "know God loves them"
1st Corinthians 6:9vv and 1st Timothy 1:10vv are oftentimes cited classifying homosexuality as sin. This is correct as far as it goes. Also mentioned in both passages is what amounts to gossip. What you say about major and minor sins are correct. Sin is sin. Even though humans in general - Christians included - think of murder as worse than goofing off on the job, they are both flouting the Lord's will and are sin.
Amen. According to Strong's Hebrew Lexicon pronounced "Aw-MANE'; In my opinion should be written "amen!" It is everything you say and in my humble and rather simple mind, is much the same as an energetic "You Betcha!"
I must agree with you, there are many Hebrew (and probably Greek) words incompletely translated in the King James Version and generally watered down for general reading. But I started first and have a questioning mind (thank You!, Lord). So I've had more time to dig around.
its because the definition of the word meditate has changed, to include silence.
Amen was great explanation for me as that was the only word I know; (plus the meaning of "barak" (is that the same word as in Barak Obama?)
Question, I have always wondered. If we’re to follow Jesus’s way why don’t we keep Sabbath on the proper day, Saturday? Why don’t we keep the original feasts that He kept? why does the modern church seemingly follow more of Paul’s teaching then Jesus’s?
You can! That's what we are commanded to do.

No one will understand the scriptures without the Holy Spirit. No amount of simply reading the book will enlighten your understanding.
@brandon I can't find Lech Achari in the Strongs Concordance. What am I missing sir? Help a fellow laborer out 🙂
The comments on “lesser” and “greater” sins made me think I’d love to see a video on some of the more obscure instructions that Christians generally don’t follow, such as about not wearing garments of mixed fibers, not adorning with jewelry or braids, why some Jewish sects don’t cut men’s hair, etc. There are so many things that we typically don’t follow, but is this because the meaning of the passages is not the literal?
Can you show me the verses that say that to Christians?
