Buddy loves the wee kitten. I had a golden retriever and when we adopted a 4 week old kitten whose mother had been hit and killed by a car the kitten became our dog's baby. She carried that kitten all over the house. If we asked her where her baby was she would go get it and bring it to us. Even though our dog was spayed she was a good mama to the kitten.

@@dogbarbillHe does look a bit stressed because the kitten is in the middle of his bed. Hopefully, after the video was filmed, the kitten was moved to a corner of the bed, allowing the dog to have his space back.
I was a little worried when he pulled back his lips.
But, maybe everything is better now

They will soon be best friends. I raised an orphaned kitten with my 2 dogs - (small spaniel and medium retriever). The smaller girl because his playmate, and their play time was really funny. The larger dog wasn't too keen on being bothered, but he became the "electric blanket". As soon as he was asleep, the kitten snuck into his bed or area and snuggled with him: sometimes he got under the tail or chin, other times he spooned with the big guy, and sometimes he just made sure his paw was touching him ("You can't keep me away", was the message). The kitten grew up thinking he was a dog too.

Omg 🤦🏻♀️ he’s like can u move out of my bed plz .... he’s such a gentle giant he is so beautiful 😍 the way he goes to the couch 1/2 on and off my toy poodle use to do that when he didn’t want to go in his bed ...we lost him few months ago to a mass cell tumor took us by surprise he had no symptoms a healthy beautiful dog he was shy of 3 days before his 14 th birthday and passed away 😢 surgeon said he had 2 months to live as it had metastasized from a tiny lump on his hind leg to a huge tennis ball size in 2 months his loss is non measurable I miss him so much 😢 so when I see dogs my heart smiles and cry 😢..thank you for sharing he’s beautiful 🙏🏻❤️

Been in this boat before. Didnt know if the dog we had gotten would react well to kittens so we tried to keep the kittens away from her. I come home from work to see her having shoved her massive head into their enclosure (small opening for only the mama cat to get and out...or so we futilely hoped) she pulled her head out, and i see a few of the kittens look out with WTH expressions on. Keep in mind, they were only just opening their eyes and were sopping wet from my dog trying to clean them.

Our cat Kevin and golden boy Chewy were the best of friends. When Chewy died, Kevin would sit in the middle of the back yard and just cried. Had the worst sad sounding meows. And he refused to eat and he died a month later. 😢

Sooo süß wie der Große versucht, nach dem ersten Schock, einen Kuschelplatz für sich zu finden, das ist doch mein Bett! Quer ist smart, aber unbequem. Längs relativ eng, da liegt doch ein "riesiges" 🐱-Baby... Und er versucht es weiter, über's Kätzchen, drunter geht ja nicht, ein bisschen schnufeln, das Kleine von der Decke schubsen, Mieze zeigt ihm: ich werde bleiben und fährt ihre winzigen Krallen aus. Ich denke, zu diesem Zeitpunkt wurde klar: irgendwie muss der Große sein Bettchen mit dem Winzling teilen, großherzig und Gentleman-like (Tiere könnten unser Vorbild sein: die Kleinen beschützen und dulden und vor allem lieben) ❤️🐱❤️🍀❤️🐞❤️🙋♀️❤️
