someone pray tell, how do these high sided vessels not simply topple over?
Low center of gravity relative to the over height of the ship. While it may have a large air draft, there's little actual weight above the main deck - it's all accommodation and office space mainly. All the real weight is at or below waterline - generators, engines, pumps, tanks, etc
Also, the high sides prevent green water from getting on the deck in heavy seas, which further aids the ship stability in poor weather
Too top heavy
Build to withstand the storms of the North Sea.
Wish that I had one of these to play with in the bath.
