My wife and I just started watching your video's about a week ago and we have enjoyed every one of them, we think it's great that you are digging up history. Keep doing what you are doing and please watch out for walls that start to get weak. It only takes a second to get trapped under a pile of dirt.

    Hey Jake and Tom,
Sweet video, the only problem is that it wasn't longer. At least you were able to dig up some treasure. Take care guys and stay safe. ✌

Oh my gosh!My grandparents lived in Oriska I want to say all the to the east end of 3rd st think. My grandpa was mayor of that town sometime in the 50s or 60s. Then he was sexton for both the Catholic and Lutheran church cemeteries. Their house is gone now. But the warehouse that he owned is still across the street from the post office in town. So many memories

Always seem to find some interesting things when you go digging Tom. Today, the checkered bottle was nice. Never seen one like that before. And the other one was the old Watkins bottle.
Back in the day Watkins was the only thing my Grandma would buy and use. It cost more, but the quality was worth it. Company still in business to this day.

I was digging in a 1895 to 1905 dump. Found a lot of very nice bottles. My 2 favorites were a amber bottle, embossed 100 pure coca wafers. My favorite was a decanter still bottle, very ornate, said Dr Tillmans Liquid Tongue Relaxer. Only one I have ever found

yeah we havent had a whole lot of luck at dumps, but id definitely be interested in checking more of them out. i do like the idea that you never know what you're gonna find.. im a privy, you might find the odd random curiosity, but generally you know what you're going to find. bottles, crockery, stoneware, shoes, rusted iron, and the odd marble if you're lucky.. but with a dump, especially one that was used for a long time, theres a whole plethora of things you could find, from bottles, to vintage signs, license plates.. just anything.. its. kind of exciting

This just come up on my U- tube, pretty neat. I'm an older feller in MN living in the country. Old house too. There was an outhouse sitting here when we moved here 40 yrs. ago. It collapsed, never even thought of this kind of thing. There must have been other outhouse sites here, I wonder how often they moved them. You have any idea? 10 yrs., 20 maybe, maybe only 5 years. In that case I got some digging to do.

lol.. yeah not sure if we said it in this video, but yeah, we talked to the mayor and he said he didnt care at all, just fill it back in.. thats pretty much how it goes in every little town around here. id say we only get a no about 20% of the time. people are surprisingly cool., thanks for watching
