That kick will still hold up 20 years from now. Calculated no accident creativity. He may have fallen off but Pettis is one if the best martial artists ever. Very underrated
Pettis definitely has to have one of the most underrated chins of all time I don't think I've ever even seen him get wobbled plus RDA smoked him in the head multiple times in that fight and while he definitely busted Pettis up he never knocked him out idk I'm pulling for him vs Holloway I hope he can get another win
Emcee SupremeJustice Totally agree. He did get knocked down and later TKOed by Holloway, but he wasn't out. He was just hurt, and I'd actually say that was from the weight cut. He looked like death making the featherweight limit. But after that, he hasn't really been stunned by anybody, not even Poirier. He got tired against Poirier and that was it. He still ate all of the shots Dustin threw at him and continued fighting until the rib injury. He has heart, he is tough and he has a chin on him. I hope he can make a comeback and win the title. Even tho, it's probably never going to happen... 😞
Agreed, I was fortunate enough to catch the ufc229 main event and then came to this video. Great job! Very entertaining. I really dig Anthony Pettis. Sure was hoping he would high kick some of the weirdness out of Fergusson last night. Here's hoping Pettis comes back and makes another "run". He difinitely has the ability. Great job last night brother!...gw
I enjoyed Pettis perspective the best because I remember each one of his fights and he explained them one at a time .I got real behind the scene of what was going on at that time .Being a mma fan and a UFC fan this was a real treat.
It's so awesome to see how great Pettis is doing. I honestly thought his career would be over after what happened to his hand but was EXTREMELY pleasently surprised to see that I was completely wrong! Keep kickin' ass Anthony!
Unreal , such a great fighter , here after we gave wonder boy his first KO ever after 80 fights 😩😩I never liked pettis because he kept beating people I liked lol I love this guy now what an incredible kick 🦵
Have a new found respect for Pettis after watching this. A very humble down to earth guy that can back up every ounce of what he says. In my opinion, he is one of the most gifted fighters on the UFC roster when he is in kill mode. Super strong mind and super stout puncher. I think he is very underrated in his striking ability. Maybe not now after the Wonderboy fight lol but def. In the past. I'm calling it.....he wins the WW title back and retires. That would be an amazing legacy to leave behind. He is already a hall of famer no doubt but that would be icing on the cake!!!!!
Pettis man for me hes the best even if he dropped the ranking the way he moves strikes the fluidity in his jujitsu the kicks the fight iq high high level striking methodical each times he fights its a pleasure from a martial artist perspective.. its really possible we have pettis vs conor this year ... the promo would be so easy the two best sniper strikers two young champs wooow lets gooooo!!!!
SHOWTIME. had the potential to be one of the greatest EVER. IN MY BOOKS, he is. His kicks , TAEKWONDO kicks, gave him the edge. His willingness to take chances, split second, no hesitation instincts to throw badass strikes is why he became SHOWTIME. HE has a couple finishes that puts in the MATRIX CATEGORY. one of the greatest
"I remember seeing upside down out of my right eye." I know this is because your brain reverses the image for you, but image the mind fuck of seeing upside down in the middle of a fight
Everybody's world would have changed if RDA lost to Anthony Pettis, RDA goes back to undercard and Pettis and Alvarez could have been an awesome fight.
26th street Anthony ya already know lol me and my cousin kicked it with Sergio Pettis who in UFC too when we were younger. You know Regina and the Bruno’s Anthony💯 414
Definitely new found respect for Pettis. Was never a fan of this dude never really followed him or paid attention to him but after having watched this man I gotta say the dudes solid as fuck
Pettis is the man. He's always been one of my favorites. I'm glad he finally moved down to FW; at this weight, it's gonna be much tougher for these wrestlers to lay-and-pray on him. I could def. see him winning the title at 145. It would be amazing if he wins the title at 145 and gets to fight Conor for the 155 belt. Honestly, whoever is the champ at 145 when Conor comes back should fight McGregor; that's the only way they're gonna prove they're the actual champ.
RDA was on steriod when he beat Pettis, when USADA came to the picture they caught all them cheaters.Pettis is clean and also one of the best.Hope he beat tony.
Pettis is the most underatted lightweight ever. They cut him short because he wasn't champ forever and a day. But the simple fact he won the lightweight strap and defended it showed the caliber of fighter he is.
I like both fighters. I think it should be a really great fight if Pettis comes out solid like his 155 lbs days and not weight drained. Holloway is a beast and hungry for sure good match up
hell probably get decisioned by Holloway.... not saying he can't win with a filthy kick it submission but Holloway definitely deserves to be the favorite
He was great. A fighters prime isn't a certain age it's when they are at there best .Look at coture or Liddell,Hendo. Pettis hit his peak young ,after clay until rust, injury and Mendez broke him even though he won. Injury and that war then dos was it but still he was a solid fighter.
I feel like Pettis's weight cut will fuck his cardio up in the later rounds. Max holloway is more comfortable at that weight so that gives him the cardio advantage. Though it may not matter if Pettis can find a way to land that vicious left kick to the body or over the top repeatedly. That kick is fucking insane, the way he is so precise with it is NASTY. Holloway would be smart to keep him at boxing range like RDA did for the most part.
So older fighters move up in weight class? To me it makes sense, easier to cut weight and speed and reaction time aren't as critical with the heavier fighters.
Nice and flowy fight network! Now plis make an episode about Bisping. He had such a fairytale comeback this year and the next guy he fights is a scary motherfucker. I'd really like to see how he feels about all that shit.
The triangles Anthony executed in the WEC were filthy. Just absolutely perfect technique.....particularly him making the angle, hooking the leg and bringing his knees together and down towards his body. It eliminates strength as a means of defense for the opponent. You cannot lift someone and slam them when the triangle is done that way. NASTY.
sounds like hes done learning...'all my loses are fights i lost to myself except for rda. basically he is say he has nothing to learn from them or the loses. protect the ego, destroy the legacy.
That kick will still hold up 20 years from now. Calculated no accident creativity. He may have fallen off but Pettis is one if the best martial artists ever. Very underrated
I ❤ Pettis. He's fun to watch.
that off the cage kick was nasty

Dude this guy standing up fights are good. His kicks are deadly.
T.J Grant haven't heard that name for ages, he was next in line got concussion then hasn't fought since, what a shame.
Fantastic show with insight on Pettis that I never knew. Please do more episodes.

My favorite fighter now, thought he was arrogant at first but now he's coming back up. He's awesome
Great stuff. I'm pulling for Holloway next weekend but I won't be disappointed if Pettis wins, solid guy for sure.
Same here.
great narrating Pettis !

He's a real warrior & it shines through in his fights. ☯
Knocking out wonderboy with a superman punch, it's still showtime

Respect for A Showtime P !.

what about the Eddie Alvarez fight with Pettis... they left that one out.
Cause it was boring
I LOVE ANTHONY PETTIS❤❤❤
if cowboy wins this weekend I want Pettis vs Cowboy 2, I want that over a wonderboy fight at 170

he will b champ again

I would've liked you guys to cover his fight against Barbosa, but still, good stuff.
very good and qualitative video!
Was this filmed a while ago? it would of be interesting to hear him talk of his losing streak and dropping down divisions.
Love his style of fighting very well rounded, shame he has problems with his hands, great story too, well done Anthony 🥋🥊💨✊
the best fighter pound for pound
Pettis is the most underatted lightweight ever. They cut him short because he wasn't champ forever and a day. But the simple fact he won the lightweight strap and defended it showed the caliber of fighter he is.
showtime.fav fighter
nice to ear a fighter talking like a human instead of acting like a titan as others.
Pettis said it best..."for some reason UFC judges don't count a takedown like a jab cross landing". Exactly.
I think a takedown should be like 10 strikes added to your total for the round
Or maybe even 5... that seems reasonable
sick work with this wow
I like this guy. I want him to put Holloway away
i like him too but i dont think he will win. im excited regardless though
I am big fan of A Petite but Max H is young and hungry as fuck. I am very excited about the fight. I hope not to have heart attack
Holloway’s gonna win
Holloway stopped him
It’s funny how Henderson walked away like nothing had happened lol
Ben askrin is in his corner at 9:46
Yeah
In 2016 it was still called the Bradley center, im pretty Shure it still is
Pettis una verdadera leyenda de las MMA con una carrera espectacular dentro de ellas ✨✨🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👊👊👊
How many hometowns does Pettis have? lol!!
1? lmao
I know he lives in Milwaukee because I saw him at my martial arts its was at pettis martial arts
bong donkey - This way he always has the hometown advantage.
Just two, Milwaukee and Mexico

9:50 dude talking about “using his wrestling in that fight” with prime Ben Askren in his corner…lol.
Now its time to chance to show the world bro show it
That Dos Anjos fight sounds like a nightmare
Guollitine to armbar to triangle!

Anyone know the name of the song that starts playing at 11:46, when they start talking about the 2nd Henderson fight?
I would love to fight petis...even sparring with him would be a dream
Just getting to know this dude Petis. He seems like to cool dude to me
i honestly think he would beat connor.
C C lmao no he would not. This dude would get fucked
still think that?
Agree Conor would tap
Earn a fight with connor after khabib mauls him
sneaking rogan commentary into wec clips
So older fighters move up in weight class? To me it makes sense, easier to cut weight and speed and reaction time aren't as critical with the heavier fighters.
whos here after Pettis had the performance of his life this Saturday
Thats not the performance of his life, youre maybe a asual

No reason to call him a casual. That was a very good performance by Pettis. Maybe not his best, but still really good.
