When it's once again time for you to settle into a permanent home, I hope you, Katie & (hopefully) Mark too will open up a B&B with a coffee shop/small cafe. I think between the three of you, anything you create would be spectacular given your combined love for beautiful environments, gorgeous but functional vintage & antique items, appreciation for great food, and excellent eye & ear for wonderful entertainment!

Jacksonville is beautiful!
San Marco is an old neighborhood on the river. That and Riverside are very pretty. Most of Jax is bland unfortunately.
My Mom use to work for Bosca leather here in Springfield Ohio. It has closed for business now. She sewed the little pockets in the wallets and was a gold stamper. She stamped the gold business logo in items 😊
I was just thinking, you should get a bicycle or a powered scooter to go around and just park your RV. You can get a rack to put it on when you’re driving somewhere.

My fav Antiques and Jewery shop is in St. Augustine the lightener museum. Churchill & LaCroix! I miss living in St. Augustine sometimes. But I love how quiet it is where I live now in Lake City on 14 acres Rural. I have to take my garbage to the dump myself! They don’t pick up on a dirt road. What a change for me 7 years here now. 40 plus in Tampa.

The best chocolate in jax is Sweet Pete's downtown Jax. On Hogan Street,it's in a big house built years ago. Look it up.

Hello from Jacksonville! Glad you got to see the Riverside Arts Market (RAM) & the Cummer Art Gallery. I hope you got to the see back of the Cummer Art Gallery where the gardens go all the way to the St. Johns River. It's Beautiful back there! Anywhooo...enjoyed your video! :)
I don't think I saw that it was very hot, so walking around outside isn't at the top of my list. I'll have to go back another time in the fall or spring.
@@jeffreythomasonfall and pre-Spring - early spring is the only time I like being outdoors here. This Spring was insanely hot. V Pizza is yummy.

As a resident of Jacksonville, it was fun watching you react to all the places I've been to many times. Glad you had fun here. In St. Augustine, did you make it to the old Fort Castillo San De Marco or the Fountain of Youth? The Ghost Walking Tours are also fun yet creepy. So much to see and do.
My dream is to go try all these restaurants! Everything looked delicious! I love that you and Katie are foodies! Nice hat, Katie!
You’re in my stomping grounds! - just a couple of miles from where I live. The Cummer Museum and Gardens is always a favorite. I loathe sea gulls - they make SUCH a mess. One Ocean is a nice hotel - it’s been there, in one iteration or another, for decades (used to be called The Sea Turtle Hotel). Cross pen and pencil sets used to be popular graduation gifts. Rather than ol’ Starbucks, I wish you had patronized Bitty and Beau’s coffee shop in San Marco - a new venture operated by developmentally challenged young adults. You were shopping in touristy places in St. Augustine, but Peterbrooke Chocolatier in Jacksonville is a locally owned family business with the emphasis on quality. St. Augustine is close to my heart - we were married there … 30 years ago. The man on the bridge was probably the bridge tender who opens and closes the bridge as needed.

So much fun to see you two together! I think those winged ants were actually a swarm of termites or carpenter ants. They both like old wood. I love the food and ambiance of the Cafe Alcazar. Too bad the live piano player wasn't there when you went. Jeffrey, I can always count on you to consume coffee, chocolate, spaghetti, gellato, and sweet treats. Katie, I loved the brooch you were wearing but it was covered by your shoulder bag most of the time. You have such pretty brooches, please wear them on your left side so we can enjoy more of them. I am looking forward to your next adventure!

Your in my hometown!! You were under I95 and that smaller one is the Skyway Tram. The day you were there I had my booth at the Jacksonville Beach Music Fest.

Great video! I lived in the Jax area for 17 years, now I live in central florida but I miss north Florida. I must have been to saint augustine 100 times but never ate at Cafe Alcazar. I’ll try it next time I go. Harry’s Seafood is another great place to eat. Loved seeing Katie!

Enjoyed sharing your travel adventures. I'm ashamed to say that I live 14 miles outside of Jacksonville and it's been years since I've ventured that way. The swimming pool restaurant I've never even heard of although I've been to St. Augustine many times. Have you visited there during the Nights of Lights during the holiday season? A beautiful sight. Jacksonville has some beautiful sights as well and they are never crowded. It's going to be wonderful once the old Riverwalk is replaced. Thanks for featuring the city. You were brave venturing out in our heat. Thanks again and I do love Peterbrooke chocolate. Their dark chocolate covered popcorn is awesome!

The bugs are flying termites. They come in once a year. They are highly attracted to the lights, and they only last about a day or two before they die off.

You need to come to Grand Rapids Michigan to the Meijer Sculpture and botanical gardens if you liked the lions statue you need to come to see our 3 story horse... and the Ford presidential museum you can see the actual copy of the president's office 30 miles away is Lake Michigan one of the Great Lakes. Then take the ferry across to Wisconsin..and then go visit Mark in Minnesota!

Thank you for taking me back to my happy place, San Mateo, Jackson Ville, Saint Augustine, My grandparents lived on Perry place in San Mateo/ like Katie we lived 10 min from Jacksonville beach like a paradise 50 years ago. I remember the lion statues and the oldest tree. Today is my Birthday. Thank you Jeffrey and Katie for taking me Home! if just for a bit. If it's not too hot the Spanish fort is something to see. I took pictures in the 80s of the Spanish Fort in Saint Augustine, One of the rooms where they kept the prisoners lots of orbs.😘
