Basically, Chika is Shirogane's mother figure who helps him whenever he needs assistance with improving at a task. She has no romantic interest in him whatsoever, but is just a good friend who always looks out for him. However, Kaguya misinterprets this constantly which is ironically the only times the gag makes sense because Chika and Shirogane are indeed very close, just not close in the way most people would assume.
As the great ishigami once said:
“Fujiwara is in more danger than I am. Kaguya sometimes looks at her like she isn’t even human. I think she’s got at least two more months to live.”

Even if she was her first friend. Fujiwara’s personality in the real world is pretty disgusting. Like Kaguya said she is a very egoistical and narcissistic person. She is also a politician’s daughter, irl that wont have any effect but in anime that would mean she’s pretty manipulative. But she’s cute and actually bad at manipulating(unless she’s been acting cute all this time) so all of that is fine.

Fujiwara never really got her own arc, so we don't even know what goes through her mind for all we know she could be dealing with issues on her own. We know Kaguya because she's the main character and we see things in her perspective.

From socioeconomic standpoint she’s happy af. Also I agree with you, Kaguya is worser. She is more manipulative than Chika and has more power and money to back it up. Tbh, most politicians and rich and powerful families are like this. BUT kaguya and chika is cute so all is fine.

Kaguya actually treats Chika as her special person. They are wholesome in the last volumes of the manga. The whole 28 volumes of this manga became one of my faves! Worth reading!!! I laughed and cried all throughout LOL
