When our favourite artist dies, one of the saddest things is accepting that there will be no new songs, new videos, or new photos. What we have known is what we have, what we can count on; but sometimes within the legacy left by the artist, wonderful surprises appear like the one you share with us here. An excellent presentation with impeccable image and sound and a spectacular reaction from the audience in the studio.
Thanks VJ for sharing this gem!

There is the potential for LOTS of new songs, new photos, and new videos. It's just a matter of her estate getting its act together and actually starting to release items from archives.

I was given a pair of tickets in 1983 on her evening concert that I had no idea about. I called up a friend (girl) and asked her if she wanted to go and she agreed. We were still teens and had no idea on to get to Concord from San Francisco and didn’t own a car. So we took the Bart train and we both had no experience of the city of Concord but were determined to see the legendary Donna Summer.
The concert was great and glad to see her once. This was for her “She works hard for the money tour” and that song and video was a big hit and played all the time. After the concert, we rushed to the Bart station and we almost missed the last train and would’ve got stuck in Concord and didn’t have money for a cab ride back to the city. Thanks Bill Heart for the free tickets.

Her 70s output still sounds fresh today.
Nothing sounds dated. All her songs are good. No filler at all. 🪩💙🌈

Donna Summer was and will always be "The 👑Queen of Disco 👑".
I am so glad that I was born in the early 70s. The 1970s was the best decade for music.
I miss the fashion and the music.

What a legend and what a live performance, especially Last Dance! Her voice and style of singing is undeniably out of this world! She never got the praise and recognition she still deserves. Maybe it was due to "Disco", that people snubbed her, but nobody can take the quality of her talent away. Donna, we will never forget you!

She undoubtedly crowned the "Queen of Disco" where have you guys been. Well I was born in 1958 and grew up during the r&b pop funk disco craze and Donna Summer got it all while she was here, you don't get crowned the Queen of Disco by all your contemporaries when 70% of them are singing disco. She was the disco "it" factor.

GREAT QUALITY! Love the way Dick Clark Introduces Her. Genuine Enthusiasm. Donna Summer was at a certain point in time, the Hottest & Biggest Musical Artist in the world. And, deservedly so.
