I don't know why but for me the single version hits differently, I love it! I know George didn't like it too much and went to the studio to record the album version one, but there's something in that tone in the single version that fascinates me. Both are brilliant.
The album version has to be my favorite of all of them. Even though it makes me cry. I think it's because of the fact that it makes me think how The Beatles could have stayed together, and could still be touring today. I know they broke up because of tension between the members, but had they either kept going and gotten through the tension, they could still be together today, and the album version of the Let it Be guitar solo makes me think of that, so then I cry.
I play it with a player strat on the bridge. With a tube screamer set with the tone at 1/4, level at 1/2 and drive full, and a big muff at 1/2 volume, lowest sustain, and mid tone, it's very very close.
I've got to agree with you here. I grew up with the single version and when I first listened to the album I was astonished by the solo. Album version 110%.
Slake The single version was produced by George Martin, the album version wasn't. His production makes the single version untouchable in my opinion. The album version doesn't have that same feel to it, it seems more refined which strips it of its impact in my opinion.
Mrsteisag2 I actually think the Don't Look Back in Anger solo is masterful, but then again that whole song is a Beatles homage. Its like the line in Hey Jude; "take a sad song and make it better". If a song takes an idea from another song, there isn't anything wrong as long as they build on it with their own ideas. Idk that's just my opinion on that.
I think you nailed it. There was one spot in The single version where you did a slide, and maybe that should've been a bend. All in all, this is a great addition to UA-cam. Thank you for posting it.
This guitar solo proves that George is a kick ass guitar player. imagine the melody and the notes he play during that time they are very advanced. The 4 are very talented that make the beatles the greatest band in the world.
Thanks for showing us the two solos! The first one which is my choice, is more expressive than the other. The first solo sounds more modern as well, whereas the second one sounds old fashioned.
great job my friend! Im glad you re-did this cover and added the single version solo. I remember I learnt the album version solo by watching your old video. Thanks Jun! keep them vids coming
VERY WELL DONE. THIS IS the ONLY solo that EVER should have gone onto Let it Be. It makes the entire songs point of regret and letting go absolutely SHINE The leslie version is beautiful but THIS first one is IT!
One of the first solos I learnt on guitar ! You played it perfectly, as usual, with the right tone. It's always a pleasure to see a video from you on the subscription list.
George Harrison is the most criminally underrated guitarist in rock history. George was no shredder, but nobody else ever played to fit the song better than he did.
Let It Be is such great time, timeless really and it has a great message saying when ever something bad happens in life happens don't dwell on it, simply let it be
The single version is just a fucking C major scale. Great job, George. However, I love the album version. I think he could have done much better either way.
+Apollo Skyline that was Lennons riff to quote him from his playboy interview in 1980 day tripper is mine including the lick the guitar break and the whole bit
This is awesome. I watched this video over and over. I like the guitar sound. I like how you make sounds. I really respect all of the members, the beatles and, of course you.
This is so good, especially seeing both versions in one clip, makes me want to see a Beatle tribute do an extended version of the song with BOTH solos in it, saving the album version for the "capper"! GREAT JOB, jun626!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I can't stand the version where they don't include this. The very first time I heard this was when I watched the film, so it has a special place in my heart.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing Jun626! George played both lead versions recorded at different times. The single lead was recorded later. Lennon was playing a 6 string fender bass in the Let It Be movie.
wow. reminded me when I started listening to the Beatles. both versions were cool. the keyboard fade-out at the end was very somber;its a sad song made even sadder as the band was breaking up and created this masterpiece. as I've stated for the third time...awesome guitar playing!
Your hands look so nice... Sorry to creep you out dude. This is awesome, I love your tone and excellent guitar skills, man! Let it be makes me smile everytime :) .
I never knew han solo could play guitar so well.
Oh my god ! Im dead lol

He took lessons from Chewbacca !!!!

You are my hero, whoever you are.

Why
Manpreet Ralhan cuz he dresses like Han solo and plays the guitar like George Harrison
To me, this is one of the most beautiful and melodic solos ever played. George was a master!!
I agree, but this was actually played by Lennon!
@@samirazziz It's 100% George Harrison's solo.

The album version is a pure blues feeling simple and straight to the soul...
That's one beautiful telecaster.
Probably because it looks like a les paul

minabo taduro two amazing guitars anyway you slice it

What about the tremolo ?
Wrong, he used an epiphone casino with the holes covered by tape.
Cool stuff. I think the solo from the single is one of the great solos of all time and I almost burst into tears hearing it every time.
Twotontessie single over the album?

The solo in the album version of Let it Be is the greatest guitar solo of all time.
Sean Kearns But when talking about the guitar solo alone, I think the album version is the clear winner.
I like the album version than the other.
George Harrison was one of the most, if not the most, melodic and versatile players I´ve ever heard in my long lifetime.
Well we know where all of Noel Gallagher's solos come from lol
lmao I get what you mean funnily none of em are even close to being as good as that one solo😂😂
