- Avatar the Way of Water has now gotten a collectors edition and a matching new collectors edition for the first Avatar movie too! in this video I unbox both of these sets and the 3D blu-ray re-release for the first avatar film.

Producer Jon Landau said there really is no extended version of Avatar 2 the movie we saw was there vision and based off watching the deleted scenes yea I can see why there's no extended version I agree I would have loved one also but if Jim felt there was no need I'm cool with that
I agree but there was definitely some scenes I think should have been left in the movie, the ones of neytiri training and the one of the extended swim training and the extended "release or I'll cut" scene
I have the original SUPER HIGH DEFINITION release that came out in June. The packaging is better for the discs. Since this new re-release has the DOLBY-VISION, i'm getting rid of the non-Dolby vision discs and to protect the new collector's edition discs from being scratched, i'm placing them into the original release packaging.
That's a good idea, but like I suggested to many other people, I recommend a DVD binder so it's all just in one place along with your other movies. Also protects the movies and helps clear out clutter from many movie cases
Did you redeem your digital code? Mine says cineplex and when I redeem it, it wasn’t showing in my library…
I actually forgot to do so, but if you are having some issues with your code, being added to the library, definitely contact cineplex
does the 4K disc of WAY OF THE WATER have German audio on it?
Hey! So sadly no, only the first movie has German audio and subs. The way of water does not have either options

To resolve the packaging issue: IF you bought the June releases , just remove only the 4K discs and put them inside of those boxes. There resolved. Since most people watch just the movies and not the special features.
That's a way, true, but I don't keep my disks in their cases, not even for video games. And thankfully these disks didn't really have any scratches or glues on them and are no longer in these sleeves but in my DVD binder

@@ScruffyWarlord What I'm getting at is you're saying only remove the 4K discs with the films on them as a full on fix for the packaging issue. It isn't. It leaves the bonus material discs screwed, which you wrote off as "most people don't watch them." Well if they have the older releases from them year to have the cases to move discs to, why would they even buy these sets if they didn't care about the bonus features. It makes no sense.
I agree with you. It's lazy packaging that nobody likes. But what else can you do?@@Fuzzycatfur

Are these the same thickness of a regular case?
I think they are just slightly thicker than a regular case, due to the many folds it has.
What does your movie collection inside the binder look like?
So I have a Amazon 400 DVD slot binder. The way I have it set up is in sections, for example, all alien based movies (such as avatar) is all together, then I have like all cyberpunk movies together then all Superhero, then movies based on legends, then fantasy movies etc...
It's all 4k disks except the few that are blu ray as there are no 4k version of them yet, or there are extended versions only on the blu-ray not 4k disk.
If a movie has 2 versions on different disks then I put the 2 disks in the same slot
The pain of keeping them organized like this is if I have to move things around...gotta remove everything and that takes a while. Wish it was like an actual binder where I could lift the pages and move it around rather than having to remove the disks
You can buy binders like that with removable inserts. Idk if there's one that holds 400 discs though. I'm horrified at the thought of you having tossed all those cases. 😱 I'd rather own a digital library than get rid of my cases! (I'll never do either.)
@@bry6080 For me, i'm more interested in single DVD releases that I find from thrift stores that I wanna put into this type of storage. But if it's a Blu-ray, and has more or one disc, slip cover, or has a special packaging, then I leave it in the original set.
It takes up too much space, plus my entire life we've had to much so much (actually getting ready to move again now....) so it's just easier this way. Same for my video game cases, though I do have very few cases I kept, not a lot though.

Hi, so I'm not finding any info on which Spanish it includes. But both movies do include Spanish as a dubbed language and as a subtitle language but I can't find out which version on Spanish it is

Hi, so I put the disks in and it only says Spanish, doesn't specify which dialect of Spanish it is. While I do speak and understand Spanish, it's not my native language, so I'm not able to say which dialect of Spanish is included but I can say, as I mentioned before that Spanish is included in both movies as a dub and sub options. Again I'm really sorry I'm not able to tell which dialect it is

@jonathannoble9465 No joke, just getting disc one out of the Avatar 1 set ended up with it being the worst disc in my collection wear wise, I have double sided discs I've handled as a little child that're in better shape.

@@project-zodiac6954Any advice for getting them out? After getting that one disc out I have half a mind to just cut the slots open off the other 3 to try to remove the discs in better condition. I'm never putting them back in these things, even if they came out easy, paper slots are the WORST way to store discs, hell I've seen discs that were treated as coasters in better shape than the disc I managed to get out

Its on YOU for buying the first 4K of Avatar. You shouldve known like i did that this collector's set was inevitable
To be fair we did not know Disney was going to do this , they normally never do collectors edition like these before this is definitely out of Disney comfort zone , and I also notice with these is that they are not eligible for Disney Movie Insider Points only the standard 4k seems to be eligible , but in all honesty they should have had theses available for the collectors to have an option of which version they wanted to purchase so double dipping is something I don’t do , this is the 1st time I did and in all honesty it’s well worth it :)

Yup, if only they put out steelbooks of these. So tired of these things. With how bad disc 1 of Avatar was after I got it out I have half a mind to take a knife to the other slots so I can just directly grab the damned discs out.

The outer packaging on the collectors editions are beautiful but the cardboard are among the worst that I've ever seen. The discs are very tightly packed in and are difficult to pull out. You risk damaging them every time you remove them. I put the discs of both movies in to 4 disc 4K cases and was able to find enough pictures of the front and rear case inserts to be able to piece together very nice case art. The discs are now safe and the original packagings are stashed away. I strongly recommend that you get your discs out of the sleeves and into standard 4K cases or even Blu-ray cases if that's what you have handy.
One solution is keeping it all in a cd binder. I never keep my games or movies in their cases, always kept them in cd binders
