What a classic. I been watching this movie from childhood to adulthood. First movie I ever went to see in 1994 when I was 8. I seen it a million times. Jim carrey is so talented and very funny. This brings back so much nolstalgia.
13:03: This film is based on a comic book concept by Mike Richardson and Mark Badger that originally appeared in Dark Horse Presents in 1987. Comic creators Doug Mahnke, John Arcudi, and Chris Warner also worked on subsequent iterations of the character.
You are right! The car workshop is the exact same building where it was used for the Ghostbusters set! The interior and the entrance..... They were matched!
Amy Yasbeck was married to John Ritter from 1999 to 2003. John Ritter died in 2003. She has guest starred in several television shows and appeared in the films House II: The Second Story, Pretty Woman, Problem Child, Problem Child 2, The Mask, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and Dracula: Dead and Loving It.
12:11 if you hadn't noticed, he's doing the Tasmanian devil spin with the pillow picture of Taz himself You guys definitely should check out the animated series both for the mask and Ace Ventura Cartoon logic is the main source of power for this guy… Yes, it's definitely chaos, but hey, so cartoon logic 32:47 to explain the scene anyone good wearing the mask the mask is chaotically good anyone evil wearing the mask is chaotically evil.... any living creature can wear the mask
One of my favorite Jim Carrey movies (another is How The Grinch Stole Christmas). He's got some soul for singing. Only Jim Carrey can do justice to the green face and horse teeth. Damn you Jamie Kennedy, for giving us the rancid garbage pile called "The Son Of The Mask"
You have most likely seen Amy Yasbeck (Peggy) in Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Dracula: Dead and Loving It. Even though it was a dream, they still filmed that scene where Cameron had to lick Jim's ear XD ;P
Not to mention Pretty Woman (Phil's wife; same year as Problem Child)! She was also the spouse of the late, great John Ritter (who was also in BOTH Problem Child 1&2 alongside her).
Dont know if someone said this but I believe there was a Cartoon series based on this on Fox. Also this movie is based off of a comicbook that is very much darker than this movie was.
theres a deleted scene... where peggy? the red head reporter, who actually gets killed in the print factory and her face gets printed in red from her blood when dorian threw her in the machine.. i think.. but the mask was supposed to be r rated cuz the comics were for grown folks
Movies just for you! Transformers 2007, The Love Bug 1968, Angry Birds 2016, Pixels 2015, Walking with Dinosaurs The Movie 2013, Rampage 2018, Space Jam 1996, Looney Tunes Back in Action 2003, Goosebumps 2015, Real Steel 2011 and Gnomeo and Juliet 2011! Also TV Shows for you! Dinotrux, Dinotrux Supercharged sequel, Lego Ninjago, SonicX, Transformers Prime, Camp Cretaceous, Max Steel, Batman The Brave and the Bold and Skylanders Academy!
I'm sure Jim Carrey must have watched videos of Cab Calloway to get inspiration for his character - maybe that's where Lieutenant Kellaway's name came from too ? ua-cam.com/video/_8yGGtVKrD8/v-deo.html
Noooooo the sequel sucked. There was gonna be a sequel to the Mask in the 90s but Jim Carrey didn't want to do a sequel. There was a sequel called Son of the mask (2005) but it sucked big time. None of the original actors of The Mask weren't even in it
Jim Carrey did amazing with this movie, I always was impressed by the fact he learned how to speak wit those dentures as the Mask
Well Earth Girls Are Easy and Peggy Sue got Married weren't really showcases for him
What a classic. I been watching this movie from childhood to adulthood. First movie I ever went to see in 1994 when I was 8. I seen it a million times. Jim carrey is so talented and very funny. This brings back so much nolstalgia.
The Mask is based on a Dark Horse comic book that appeared in the comic book anthology series called Mayhem in 1985.
That's true, but due to the fact on how bloody the mask was, they decided to make it more kid friendly… sort of.
Jim is and has and forever will be a comedy Icon 💯. #Facts
Classic movie. I love how both of y'all jaws dropped when he drove....."The Loaner".
There actually was an animated series based on The Mask in the ‘90s.
I loved the animated version!🤙
@@nsasupporter7557 And at least one cross over episode with The Mask and Ace .. xD
@@nsasupporter7557 Jim Carrey just dominated the 90s, and for good reason!

This movie reminds me of WHO FRAMED RODGER RABBIT which was a very good movie.
it's funny you mentioned the Ghostbusters because the garage was the same set that Ghostbusters used for their firehouse interior.
This movie is based off a comic book, the comic is incredibly violent and not for kids🤣
38:23 he "poked" him in the eyeball

Fact: The Mask was Cameron Diaz’s very first role in a movie

That which must not be mentioned
Cameron diaz has nvr looked better. All those broken noses caught up with her and by the time she retired she looked like a different person
MTV actually played the "Cuban Pete" scene from "The Mask" as a music-video on all the shows.🪇
